@Varun Bhardwaj that sounds awesome! I would love to go to India. It's at the top of my list. Is there a lot of cheese and milks? Im pretty allergic to dairy

Ooooooooo! I’ve always wanted to go see Taiwan and visit family there with my grandma but I was worried about finding things to eat there since I’m vegan. Can’t wait to see veggie paradise someday!!
I try to be less picky when travelling, which helps a lot. I don't mind if things are cook with meat on the same grill ...and often I will pick the meat out and give to to the hubby :P. Some places are really difficult though, like when I was in Poland
I'm not a vegetarian nor vegan but I don't crave meat, growing up my family (mainly dad and siblings) they dislike veggies and prefer overwhelmingly meaty diet. I feel like going to Taiwan for a full vegetarian getaway just to take a break from my family dietary habit.
Not sugary bubble tea sounds good. I don’t like sugar either. I’ve heardLaos isn’t the easiest for vegans but it’s not bad for vegetarians I think and similar to what you describe of Taiwan definitely lots of options if you eat fish. There are tons of things here that look like there no meat , and if you ask the person selling it they will say there’s no meat ( fermented vegetables/jack fruit, their version of salsa, papaya salad) but they all have fish sauce or fermented fish paste in them.... the fish ball egg roll thing at the end looked really good
Yeah, Laos has always been great for me as a vegetarian. Im not bothered about fish sauce, so it does make eating a lot easier!!! Oh geeze, I sure do miss food markets!!!!
@@BumblingTourist Ok. Looking forward to checking out more of your content. Hopefully one of these days travel will be more realistic to do. Hello! Of all the Asian countries you've visited, which country was the most Vegetarian friendly? And which country had the best tasting Vegetarian food? Thank you!
Mostly Vegetarian friendly would probably be Myanmar! Most dishes there were Vegetarian! In terms of best tasting, Myanmar was great, but central Vietnam's fresh veggies were out of this world!! 😍😍😍
Hey, I really liked this video. Good work. The food here is amazing, but I wish they would use olive oil over veggie oil. It's terrible for you. BTW you can stab the corn with your chopstick. 🙃
The food was sooooo good!! Id love to live there and explore it more! I agree, olive oil would be much easier to digest too. The corn was so intimidating!! I tried picking it up, and kept dropping it and splashing hot soup 🤣 stabbing it is a much better idea.... 🤔
Its not because of Japanese occupied in Taiwan. so you find sushi there. It’s sushi as thousands yrs of common north eastern Asian food, or royal party food back then, sushi is widely eaten from Korea ,Chinese ,Japan ,Taiwan …. It’s just widely known as Japanese restaurant cuisine but it’s not Japanese who create sushi!

I'm not vegetarian but don't eat a lot of meat. I think if I ever did get to travel that I'd avoid eating meat simply cuz I would not know if it really was what they said it was or how they cook and prepare it. Just overall would want to avoid food poisoning lol
Yeah, fair enough. It does take a certain amount of the risk out of eating while abroad. A lot of places it's really difficult to avoid meat though, so if I have to, I choose fish.... somehow seems safer. 😅
Have you done any research on that at all? There is a difference between vegan and vegetarian, a simple google search could help you understand the difference between the two . Eggs are considered vegetarian.
@@GalaxyFlower-ko6vw there are many types of vegetarian diet. Classic vegetarian don't eat eggs. It's an unfertilized meat, chickens ovule. But in title of the video says Taiwan also the Vegan Paradise.

@Varun Bhardwaj that's great news!
If Taiwan was not constantly threatened by China, I would be willing to move there to be a Canadian Taiwanese :) The culture in Taiwan is fascinating!
I completely agree! It would be a dream to live there
It's great to see that it's getting easier to find vegetarian options! This looks wonderful!
It is sooo much easier now!!! When we were in Myanmar last year, it was incredibly easy to be vegan as well!

I just noticed you can buy tapioca balls at the freshco on Ontario St. Might have to try and make my own.

Chicken is 雞, pork is 豬
Yes, I realized later and a few people have mentioned that! Thank you for clarifying 😄
It's vegan eggs?
No, eggs are vegetarian. I am not fully vegan, so I do eat eggs every so often.
I know this video is a year old but just letting you know that's not how you write chicken in Taiwan - we write in traditional, not simplified.
