Love those little squeaky newborn noises! So precious! Amos is adorable! My biggest was 10lbs. 5oz. My hard labor was only 4 hrs. which was great because I had enough strength to deliver my butterball turkey! Just felt like my hip was being dislocated! 😳😂 we have 6 children ...girl,boy..girl,boy..girl boy.All grown & now we have 11grandchildren. Love it!💖🙌💖

This is beautiful Kate - thanks for sharing your story, and I love the way you put this together - so very much real-life trying to do anything with a newborn. :) My second was also sunny-side up, but she was actually my easiest birth so far (currently pregnant with #4). She was also a pound less than older brother, so I'm sure that helped - and I did tear slightly, but she also came out REAL FAST. I was making my 1-year-old a grilled cheese sandwich less than 30 minutes before baby sister was born, and baby showed up 11 minutes before the midwife! So thankful for speakerphone and an awesome hubby! The ways these babies surprise us lol.

I love his name, ours have all had to wait a few hours or days for us to figure out who they are too, and they've all ended up with great names that really speak to who they are :) Such a great Birth story, I'm glad you got to stay home, getting in a car during labour just absolutely SUCKS! You made me laugh when you said sometimes homebirth plans end up with baby arriving in a suburban at the gas station :P I'm happy you got to avoid the same fate!! Sure wish you hadn't moved so far away, I'd love to be able to spend time with you and all your babies, it's neat to have these little windows into your world though, for sure :) Cross your fingers for me when #8 arrives in 6 weeks or so, will ya? I'm hoping this one isn't any harder than the last, but I realize at this point in my life as a Mother I'm likely to have a bit of a wild experience...I'm just going to keep assuming/hoping it'll be another "Oh, hey, I guess this really is labour" to baby in my arms within the hour, and if it ends up not fitting that pattern I'll have a story to tell I suppose :)

Magnesium glycinate helps so much with afterbirth pains! I heard about it when I was pregnant with my fifth; I used it after he was born and I had hardly any afterbirth pains...even though I’d had awful afterbirth pins with babies 2-4. Congratulations to all of you! Amos is adorable!
@@andreabarber8106 I wish I’d learned of it sooner too because it was a night and day difference for me. I share about it whenever this topic comes up because I hope more women will be able to benefit from using magnesium glycinate as well.
Wonderful story. My boy was posterior too, these babies are called "stargazers" here. I got my birth that I wished for too. It was different than I imagined as well bought all in all it was according to to the plan. I may just have been a little to innacurate manifesting it. 😉 buz definitly did a better job than with my daughters birth, that went totally the other way I had imagined. Sorry for losing myself in memories. Just wanted to say, thanks for your story and have a wonderful time with your little stargazer (mine is 5 now and got a telescope for christmas...)
