I saw them with Steve Morse in '01, and they were great, but thats a long time ago. McBride is indeed great!! I put up more but for whatever reason UA-cam said copyright violation. I've posted in my Facebook Group "DJ Buddys Rock Garden" if you want to see more.
Wow! Great video. I missed the show but am grateful for your post. A bit of Machinehead to start this day. They still look & sound so good. Love Deep Purple! Thank you.
My pleasure, truly! I put up more but for whatever reason UA-cam said copyright violation. I've posted in my Facebook Group "DJ Buddys Rock Garden" if you want to see more.

It ain't Deep Purple without Jon Lord and Ritchie Blackmore. Gillan WAS the best singer out of all their lineups, so it's good he, Roger and Ian Paice are still at it. Kinda. That McBride dude doesn't even open SOTW the classic way that Blackmore did. Ritchie started it out at the 10th fret. He doesn't do Ritchie's fills in the verses, and his solo was pathetic. Airey is complete devoid of Lord's charisma and energy. I'll play my vinyl from the 70's , and watch old videos of the REAL band. Mk II was the best version of Purple ever.
Sorry disagree .. been a DP fan since the early 1970s, saw them live 3 times etc etc. Gillans vocals are weak, stage presence and energy is poor and (with one exception) they LOOK behave and sound like a tribute band of geriatrics
It was an awesome concert!!! Deep Purple rocked!!
Soooo fricken happy I was there!
Happy birthday, Wonderful IAN GILLAN! (19.08)
Flashbacks to the beautiful seventees🇳🇱👊👍
Incredible show. YES and PURPLE were on fire last night.
@@zoso73 Right? Just amazing. I'm still still pumped up!
@@buddyboca Eff it! Driving up to Tampa now!!! 😅
@@zoso73 aweswome I THOUGHT I recorded the opening, Highway Star and the next few - but I hit "stop." I'm counting on ya...lol. Drive safely 🙂
@@zoso73 Cool. We’re going to the show in NJ, Aug 31.
A very strong performance.

Inmenso Deep Purple. Dando catedra
Great show. Ian Gillan still killin it…what fun!
Simon McBride is awesome! He brings more energy to the band, you can tell everybody else has more energy than in the last two tours.

No Blackmore?
@@RichardNogan not for decades
@@buddyboca yes, I do like Blackmores later work, too bad he didn't mend things and just join in.
I like original solo's not when someone chimes in and puts there 2 cents worth in keep it original that's why people come out to see you.

The original members

Are fucking geriatric!!
WTF, this is a moron statement, for sure
You try to pull off sincere rock & roll when you're pushing 80 years old
