- In the distant future, the efforts of the heroic Fantastic Four have led to a new golden age for mankind. I'm not really sure how else to reach out to Sal, but my deepest condolences on the loss of a good friend of yours man. Benny was a great man and a wonderful entertainer and he will be deeply missed.

Loved this story. Twisting "The End" idea to be a happy ending is so perfecty Fantastic Four, and Doom leading the annihilation wave is so obvious, yet so damn awesome XD

This was my FAVORITE F4 story at the time along with the heroes reborn F4 reading comics in the early 2000s
Comicstorian Ben Potter passed away on June 8th in a accident. Prayers and thoughts go out to his wife, family and friends. We lost an icon in the comic book and geek community, he'll be forever missed and remembered for his love for comics and his voice. RIP.

I still wanna see Chris Evans Human Torch do a flame on vs the annihilation wave wave on the big screen. That would be so epic.
This had been a great episode, I just basically giggled for 2 hrs.
I think this episode is the second episode that Inhumans is actually part of the story.
Valaria is actually a great character and her using magic makes sense. She's Doom's goddaughter due to the convoluted circumstances of her birth that almost killed Sue, and canonically she regularly visits Latveria or has video-calls with Doom. Their relationship is really kind of wholesome.
Love u guys Sal! Salute Benny! I hope u guys have it in you to continue absolute in some form. It will never be the same and will truly cherish all the moments with just a handful of us in the stream talking comics.
As an FF fan I actually hadn't read this and I plan on buying it after this video. Really liked how you told this story. Again you guys are doing more and more Fantastic Four and I really appreciate it.
I really did like Fantastic Four The end, it was a good read that wasn’t your typical ‘everything is at the end so everyone must be miserable!’ This one is just a big fun sci fi read of everyone being a future badass.
Also Thing has a bunch of InHuman kids. Because Alice is now a super powered InHuman maxi powerful super woman. So ya know… Ben eating good.

@@dedbatt8869 I think that for an overall good sense of who the characters are and what their stories are like, I would go with Mark Waid and Mike Wieringo's FF. The stories are very fun and accessible and the character dynamics are good representations of the FF.
And then if you're looking for headier dense sci fi, than you could read Hickman's run.
Plus Alex Ross' Fantastic Four: Full Circle is a gorgeous done in one hardcover that's a great take on the more old school Fantastic Four of Stan Lee and Jack kirby with a modern twist. It's probably the easiest (and most affordable) of these recommendations to find.
If you don't care for the heroes but those guys help you enjoy it 😂

I feel like Ethan is on a roll with exactly predicting the ending of the last few books. After years of exposure, he's finally been brain-poisoned by comics!
Another thing that is never addressed on this comic is that Namor i Half Mutant, unless there's a change to his origin in this universe and also what happened to ALL of the x-men villains because they have villains that are and are not mutants. This comic i really good and it deserves a continuation with the avengers.

This book shares the same dope as ending as The One, and now I wanna see a story of doom going across the muktiverse to kill all his counterparts because the council of Reed's is stupid
It would kind of make sense that the Methuselah Drug wouldn't impair growing up but it would halt growing old, since these are two different mechanisms of the body. A child going through puberty and developing into an adult is a function of of hormones and the body, while aging is more a matter of your body breaking down.

I have a pitch for a sequel. Dr. Strange takes that orb and uses it to summon all the mutants from the past, so now there are mutants.

I think it was first covered back in 1991 in What If? #29 "What If Captain America Formed The Avengers?" that yes, Logan can become a Sasquatch and in fact can control it if afflicted with the curse. Saying that, it is a What If? so take it with a grain of salt.

I know it's a tanget y'all went on but i'm pretty sure that the clone wars was ment to be what the common citizen called the conflict and it just kinda stuck like the actual name of the war in offical documents in the empire is probably something like the republic sepretist conflict but to the common citizen and most on the front line probably just adopted the name clone wars
I know yoda calls them the clone wars in part 2 but i could totally see that being how the name of the conflict spread was people talking about yoda calling them that

Interesting note; The depiction of anti-aging in the comic isn't that far off from how it would likely work with kids still aging, but adults stopping. There's actually several different mechanisms of aging, the two primary of which are: Development (induced by hormones) and genetic degradation (induced by accumulated splicing errors in the genome).
Removing the genetic degradation of old age would not necessarily have any effect on development. And in fact, repairing splicing errors in the genome can actually appear to reverse aging, allowing older things to appear younger as the tissue damaged by the degradation regenerates using the repaired genome as a model (this has been done in human cell culture)
