    Tupig, also known as intemtem or kangkanen, is a Filipino rice cake originating from northwestern Luzon, particularly the regions of Pangasinan, Tarlac, and Ilocos. It is made from ground slightly-fermented soaked glutinous rice mixed with coconut milk, muscovado sugar, and young coconut strips.
    Tupig is my childhood favorite craving. One of the best memories every time we go for a visit in Pangasinan was having to taste Tupig!
    Nothing beats the grilled and classic recipe of Tupig!
    Just so I could try it again in my home town and make it easier to prepare, I tried the oven baked version and… did a little twist by replacing a part of the coconut milk into coconut juice. I thought maybe it will make it tastier because of the buko juice. And it did work!
    Here’s another homemade, negosyo, and easy recipe you can try at home! Tupig Pangasinan with a little twist!
    But, if you want to stick with the classic recipe, you can just replace the coconut juice with the coconut milk.
    Container:
    30 pcs Banana Leaf Liner
    RECIPE and COST:
    ½ cup coconut juice _______________Php 00.00 (inc. in the buko strips)
    200 ml coconut milk _______________Php 32.50
    ¼ cup (57g) melted butter__________Php 12.83
    ½ cup (115g) white sugar___________Php 5.75
    ½ cup (100g) brown sugar__________Php 4.00
    ½ tsp of fine salt____________________Php 0.2
    3 cups (390g) glutinous flour________Php 39.00
    340g buko strips (from 2 coconuts) _Php 50.00
    TOTAL______________________________PHP 144.08
    TEMPERATURE & BAKING TIME:
    180c (top and bottom heat) for 30 minutes
    TOTAL QUANTITY:
    30 pcs TUPIG

    Ang sarap naman dito tumambay sarap ng pag kain salamat sa pag share sana makadalaw kadin sa kubo ko staysafe
