Lori O in Medina Ohio - love watching your video and your interactions - it boosts my spirit. You kind of remind me of my "old" Aunt June who had a dairy farm in Indiana when I was growing up, I was lucky to spend part of my summers with her. So Peace always and keep having lots to smile about!

    Hi ladies. Happy New Year!!
Such a great time to visit with you. I am a huge fan of the longer videos so this was right up my alley.
Your projects all look good and your plans to use the WIPGO boards to work what fits your FFOs sounds like a great plan. Got me thinking. 😉
I have 15 FFOs, all cross stitch. It was fun to see them all again so thanks. FFO-ing a few would probably bring some peace. 😀
Happy stitching, ladies. Thank you for sharing your time with us. ❤

First of all, Happy Birthday Carol!!! Wowza, you two had so many beautiful projects! What a great video! I also loved the picture of Coleman. So precious and thoughtful of your neighbor!!! I'm not a WIPGO kinda gal, but I can tell you this. I have at least 10 finished objects that need to be fully finished. I have at least 4 knitting projects that need to be finished. We shall see what 2023 does for me! I know that I have 3 quilts I want to make too. So much to do, so little time. Happy New Year!

Really enjoyed seeing your finishes, WIPS and hearing your plans for the year. Wishing you both a happy, healthy 2023. Your question about non-FFOs got me started doing a Word document of them. I buy patterns I like and would enjoy stitching, so they don't necessarily go with my decor or are things I want to see hung. My count is somewhere near 30, and a majority of them will never get FFO'd but I enjoyed the experience and I like looking at them from time to time. They are sometimes also markers of where I was in my life, so I recall things going on while I was stitching them, where I lived, etc. Take care, happy stitching, and I hope all resolves nicely, Carol, with the kidney stone.

Great video that has inspired us all to get organized and get things done! I was shocked when I counted my finished stitched pieces that need FFO'd. I have 23. Ugh. Granted, many are ornaments or small seasonal pieces that I will make into pillows, but for being a monogamous stitcher, that was an eye opener. I guess I am NOT a monogamous finisher. I also have 4 quilting projects that need finished, 1 big, 1 wall hanging that I'm hand quilting, and 2 table runners. Guess I know what I'm going to be doing the next few weeks! I love that little red/white/blue quilt you showed, Carol. And Jen, what a sweet daughter you are to help your mom get her sewing room organized! It's always more fun to organize for someone else. Good luck crossing those lists off!

I work on 11 count Aida. I had eye surgery after my twin cataract removals so my vision is impaired. I use magnifiers while stitching. I enjoy seeing the pictures/scenes appear as I stitch. I quilt too. Right now I am straightening out my sewing room/studio. Pull up an old rug and paint. Now when it is done, I won’t feel guilty when stitching. My room will be orderly.

This year I used the naptime stitcher pages to organize my stitching calendar and help me stay on track finishing WIPs I’ve already begun. The Wipgo page seems like a great idea to make what works for me so I will be adding that to my notebook journal😊. Loved the Valentine quilt behind you today and your Cardinal on slate fabric was sooo cute Jen! Will pray that pesky kidney stone will dissolve on its own to bring relief soon.🙏 I’m also up for the FFO challenge 2023 to help me finish quilt tops needing quilting as well as five cross stitching projects. Thanks for heading up this fun #! At this point I may have close to seven quilt tops needing quilting and binding and about 5 cross stitched pieces needing to be FFO’d. I do have to be in the mood for glue gun and ribbon bows😃

I'm sure I will abandon them soon for Easter projects but really there is never a bad time to stitch peace love and joy! I’m fickle when planning thoughts get derailed by new patterns or my mood! I currently only have 3 unfinished finished stitched projects. 1 is Christmas so no hurry. 1 is for my grandson and not sure how I will finish it. The last is winter cometh and I do want to finish it and put it out. But go derailed by valentines small for a week or so stitched them and ffo’d them when i finished stitching.

Happy New Year to you both! But oh! When Carol showed her Xmas pillow -- I did a double-take! The fabric! A close friend of mine died a few years ago, and her daughter gave me most of her stitching stash -- includig a piece of that fabric with the trees apparently woven into it. Looks to be the same size as the one for the pillow; it's an olive-y green -- darker than yours. Mind you, it's been in a plastic sealed bag for I don't no how long. I have 4 finishes in my to FFO pile. All the fabric and trims are picked out and waiting for me. I tend to save up a few items that have a similar finishing technique, then pull the fabric and trim, if I’m framing it I decide on the frame, etc and get the design of the finish done and staged and then I’ll have a finishing afternoon where I sit down and get it done. It breaks up the process so it’s not so overwhelming.

I am very interested in your 2023 finally finishing challenge. I just counted and I have at least 25 finished pieces that need to be fully finished, 3 stitched pieces that need to be framed (and I have frames for them) and I have one almost finished sampler that will go to the framer as soon as I finish it - this week! Counting wips is harder - I only have 2 or three that I have worked on recently, but I have at least 4 that are really ufo’s since I haven’t touched them in over a year. I’m going to work out a plan of attack - that will also have to include some knitting! Thanks for your videos - I love seeing all your projects. Happy new year!

Great video ladies 😊 I have 25+ fo’s. I would rather have a wip than an fo, for some reason fo’s mock me more than wips. I put ffo’s on my wipgo last year and got 15 projects fully finished, so it works 🎉 Happy New Year!

I will not not tell you how many ufo quilting projects I have started a nd not finished, as it is embarrassing!!! I would need a year of retreats to finish them! My closet is full now! Have a happy new year!

It is horrifying…… I have 57 small to medium and 17 large cross stitch pieces that need to be fully finished.
I so much enjoy stitching that I do not want to take time out from that to fully finish my work!

So, I counted my finishes. To say I was shocked is putting it mildly. I had no idea! 52. I immediately took the smallest one and FFO'ed it right then and there. So I will be picking up the challenge gauntlet and working on FFOs more than in previous months. Thanks for the inspiration.

I have 12 FO to be finished down here. The box of 35 years’ worth of finishes is currently out of reach and I don’t climb any more so who knows how many are there. Next time someone comes over, I will have them get it down from storage shelves. I do not do spreadsheets 😂. I take a fine emery board to my fingertips and around my nails and then use shea butter lotion when I stitch with silk.

Haha, we don't need to worry about the box - and thanks for the lotion recommendation - I need to put an emery board in my stitching station, that's a great idea.

So funny, I had a text from a friend last Saturday asking how many things I had ready to FFO. The answer was 27, but the then I got fired up and FFOd three the next day. So when I watched you I had 24! My thinking now is if I could do three FFOs in one day, I can do two more every month. Right?😀 So, I'll also be doing the FFO Challenge! Y'all are hilarious with your back-and-forth; I so enjoy watching you! The Lancashire Stitcher is stitching the Peace snowmen right now; she may be the one you saw who had to take a break from the blue. Thank you for all the fun! I'm already looking forward to your next post!

Funny you should ask, last week I counted 5 stitched and not finished so I fully finished 2 leaving 3 and then I finished 2 more last night so back to 5! They are Christmas and winter for next year and 1 Valentine! Usually I maybe have a couple! Idk how I let it go to 5! I work a ton of hours each week so I really try never to have more than 2 to be finished unless it’s a series that I want to finish at the same time❤ by the way that quilt this week is fantastic❤it looks beautiful! Carol have you signed up for Annie Beez ornaments of the year 2023? The first one is just the most adorable snowman! ❄️ ⛄️ you should check it out she’s getting ready to send out the second one in late January! Blessings ladies ❤❤ spirit, peace

I don’t have any finished stitching waiting for finishing (this is easy - just don’t ever finish stitching your WIPS like me 😂) I do have about 8 finished quilts waiting for quilting and binding. Peace, dairy

Loved this video. So many interesting things. Debbie Mumm. Or Mum. Memories. I have many of her patterns and books for quilting and craft projects. Fabrics she designed too. I’m not sure I knew she did cross stitch patterns. A popular designer. Hope all goes well with the kidney stones. My husband and I spent a Friday night recently, in ER for almost five hours of waiting and a couple tests. Thankfully test results were good. But lots of waiting to have them, and a long time to hear the results! My right eye is giving me a problem. The eye Dr was ruling out an aneurysm. It’s likely nerve damage due to Type Two Diabetes. It sometimes takes care of itself but Dr said that can take awhile. I see him again this week. Hoping for positive appointment! How nice to make those tote bags. I liked both the project bags. I’m glad you’re organizing your sewing room. 🌲🌲🌲⭐️⭐️❤️💜

That’s so sweet about ten dollars for the laying tool! Do you still have it? I still have my hammer from freshman year of college. I often wonder how nice it would have been to take my mother on the type of stash shopping we do today back when she first started stitching in the 80’s. She was so frugal then and careful with her supplies. She would use her dmc down to the last quarter inch! Back then dropping a couple hundred dollars on cross stitch supplies would have definitely been unheard of!
    Love the sweet valentines quilt!

What a cute little parade! But kinda refreshing since some are a little overwhelming..75 or more…I can’t afford to even buy that many! But I’m a progress stitcher ,not a finisher..so I’ve got a bin of finishes..maybe 15 to 18?. But non FFO’d ! I plan on putting them together in a quilt instead of many frames and filling a wall..maybe in 5 years…hmmm….dairy , spirit and peace look nice to do !😊

Wish I lived close enough to spend some time with you both.🙂 I have a two daughters, probably close to your age, Jennifer, and a granddaughter getting ready to graduate from high school!! My daughters do not cross stitch or sew, at this time. They both still have much younger children.😁 The youngest being 7 years old. There are a few in between!! They spend a good part of their life at sporting events. They do enjoy what I make, though. I love your ideas for wipgo.

Oh my goodness, waiting for your next flosstube video is like waiting for the next Outlander book to come out which by the way takes up to 5 or 6 years!! I sit on pins and needles with anticipation.. Since having a total reverse shoulder replacement on December 21st I'll have to be with you all in "spirit" in the sewing department. I do have a question for the princess on what she uses to finish her diamond paintings with. I fell into the hole and started doing them since I can only use one arm. May you have a good new year and that "peace" will follow you throughout. Until next be safe and well.

Hi Sara - thanks - and I am actually reading the newest Outlander book right now - agree with you that we have to wait way too long, although I hear the next one will be the last one. I will be sad when it ends. And guess what the princess does with her diamond paintings? Rolls them up and puts them in a drawer :) she did frame two for my mom for Christmas but the rest are waiting. The plan is to frame them...when we can find frames that fit and aren't crazy expensive!
