I just looked you up because Saltbox Stitcher recommended your channel. I have just started stitching again. I put my stitching away for about 15 years but I first started stitching in 1984. I’m retired now and am a widow so I started again to be productive and because I enjoy it. I like your style and I like to see the patterns people pick. I live on the east side of Nashville TN and it’s nice to watch others in different areas. I’m sure you’ll be picking up lots of subscribers. I will subscribe today. I don’t watch much tv and I like UA-cam. I hit my recliner at the end of my day and I usually pull up a flosstube. I have 8 grandchildren so I stay quite busy. Keep up the videos. I enjoyed this one. May the Lord Bless you! Tammie

Oh My Gosh! Thank you so much for sharing! You have amazing taste! I love all your wips! -and wow- on 40ct! I just started rejoice evermore on 40 ct and it’s slow going- 36 ct is my favorite. I did a few cross stitch projects on aida when I was in my 20’s- started quilting and embroidery, then in my 40’s started needlepoint- then in 2021 found an old box with cross stitching kit of shepherds bush and now I’m a born again cross stitcher😜 I’m in my 60,s so eyesight isn’t as good as it use to be but I’m determined to finish the rejoice evermore on 40 ct. your flosstube is so refreshing! I loved it!❤ can’t wait to see your next one! Oh and get your finished pieces fully finished and hang more of your beautiful pieces on your walls! Happy Stitching!

I loved your first Flosstube ❤️.
I've been only stitching for about 6 or 7 months now and I'm super addicted. I'm also a "Pattern Collector "
I was also a monogamous stitcher, until I started watching Flosstube. It made me feel okay about rotating things in and out as my moods and attraction changed. No rules is the mantra which I love.
Thank you for sharing, you did great. And look forward to your next video!!!!

Sarah's Stitchy Spot sent us over❣ Seasons of the Heart is darling! I adore your little windowed room and the lovely view! We always love seeing pets and I sm a dog lover and pet sitter! So nice to meet you!
Don't underestimate your skills! I've been sewing since I was 5 and I'm 67. I have yet to make a project bag but I've bought a half dozen and gotten flosstubes on how to make. I like Vonna Pfieffer and her bag doesn't have the vinyl. The foot for my sewing machine was expensive so I haven't purchased yet to do the vinyl...
When you have a chance, look at your favorite colors. If there's one color in a design that doesn't work or you just don't like, try picking just one. There are wonderful color spectrums online you can look at for reference! If you're uncomfortable still, then do try a conversion. I think with time you will find it's easy to do. I always change at least one thing in a chart to make uniquely my own💕
YES ON THE FINISH PARADE PLEASE!?!

Hi Lauren I loved your video , I heard a shout out from In hand stitcher , she said she loved to watch you because you sewed the same type of patterns that she enjoys And so do I. I also love long dogs that’s all I stitched on for quite some time I have finished pandemic and also New World in the past year or so. I have huckleberry farm in the work I’m excited to work on it, I’m currently working on two of the year in the woods patterns for my great grand children and they are fun to do.I’m really glad that I found you and I will continue to watch you good job stitching! 😊

Hi Lauren, I just discovered you and have subscribed. You have done a fantastic job and I love how you present your projects and your smooth voice. While I love other flosstubers who are super energetic and tell funny stories (Tiger Lily Designs is one of my favorites) and make me laugh, I appreciate that you speak smoothly and don't say a lot of ummms and fiddle with your hair or clothes (it's a pet peeve of mine). Keep up the good work and I will click the notification bell so I know when you post. So happy to have you in this community!

Wow. Good for you!! Great first Flosstube!!
Impressive. I worked for years as a child on different Aida fabrics and stitching wasn’t what it is today. Have done some projects in more recent years. Getting back into it. Have bought some linens, but seem to be nervous and haven’t taken the plunge to actually stitch on them.
So kudos to you for being a fairly newbie and taking that plunge!!!

I just found your channel, so I chose to start at the beginning with video 1! I started stitching during COVID as well and went down the same rabbit hole of buying all of the things! I really enjoyed seeing your wips and you’ve inspired me to try to stitch on 40 count and to go ahead and buy the pattern and floss for considering the lilies. I’ve admired the chart since the first time I saw it, but never committed to buying it because I was intimidated by the size. Hi, Lauren. You did a great job on your first video. I was interested to hear you say you were struggling with your piece of Picture This Plus fabric. I too, have had to give up on two projects on PTP and have not been able to decide why it gives me a problem. I live in Ontario, Canada and thank you for patronizing two Ontario businesses - Shiba Designs on Etsy and Roxy Floss Co.

    • @newhampshirestitcher
      @newhampshirestitcher  Рік тому

I think for me the issue with PTP is the holes are just too small and it makes my thread tangle more often, which then makes me frustrated and not want to work on a piece! And I love love both Shiba & Roxy, Canada has some wonderful makers ❤

Look for number 10 tapestry needle. They have blunt ends and are great for 45 or 46. If you need a picture of them let me know

Lauren, you did a great 1st flosstube! 👏. I believe I have gotten to know your style and can relate to your many starts w/o many finishes. However, you have a plan & if you can stick with it (some what) we will all be able to celebrate your finishes in short time. Your project selections are terrific as is your stitching. Can’t wait for your next video. BTW, a “finish” parade would be wonderful! ❤

Congratulations on your podcast! Technically, I think everything you set up, lighting, foamcore, up-close photo and project progress, etc., the whole thing--just right. I love your esthetic and the designs that you chose. And, I liked your explaining why your sweet spot is 40 count fabric. I have a few kits that I have bought over the years but haven't started and you reminded me that I had a problem with the fabrics they came with. Being a sewist, the fact that the fabrics were either too flimsy or with an ugly weave stopped me at the start. I couldn't wrap my head around how it could produce something beautiful in the end and, did I want to put all that time in and end up with a yuck? So, I'll revisit them again when I have time. I'm going to check out a few of the designers you mentioned--I love their esthetic, too. Thank you. I'm excited to see your next tube and wish you all the best! 💖

I have noticed so much that the wrong fabric will completely stop me in my tracks with a project! Can’t even count how many things I’ve restarted.

Great Flosstube. You selected some nice projects with really nice fabrics. I also live in New Hampshire, specifically Londonderry. Do you know about the retreat at Stitch-Inn at the Farm? There is a Facebook group by that name. They have group stitching at different locations in NH and southern Maine. The retreat is at East Hill Farm. Check it out! I look forward to watching more of your Flosstubes. 😊
