I am not a 'star', sir. Just someone who shuffles around, mumbling to myself, trying not to fall over and avoiding cars with the engines we are unable to discuss on the channel...
Excellent MR Lloyd, Rover did some rather lovely colours, really striking and fresh compared to the rather bland colours we currently have on cars today.
When I display a car I leave the drivers side window down so people can clearly see in. I dont leave any valuables in sight and lock the doors if I am away from the vehicle. It is always nice to have a clear view into the vehicle. Weather permitting.
I think that a lot of people are quite security conscious at an event like Pride of Longbridge, and so although it makes my job harder in terms of diesel dodging, I do understand their decision.
Nice seeing you earlier Mr Lloyd, albeit brief! I look forward to the future parts. The turnout this year was absolutely fantastic, hopefully it's just as good next time around! I hope you had a safe trip back home! Incidentally while Rover was never super mainstream in France it was actually one of their strongest markets in Europe. The buyers out there were extremely dedicated. They even had several French exclusive special edition cars due to the popularity of certain models like the TF and Montego!
Sir, Parts Two and Three are ready to go up soon. There were a lot of cars there this time, which almost pushed the number of Slightly Shambolic Shuffle parts up to nine... My shoes were completely ruined, however.
Ok Sir, I'm 17,000km away and ready again to be transported to a whole car show review. Im partial to a Montego or Maestro, so your efforts are always greatly appreciated, especially as your under the weather.
Sir, somehow I completed all eight parts today and then did another three plus an episode of Sensible Secondhand Reviews today! We do like a nice Montego Vanden Plas, sir.
Great 1st part of shuffling sir, some nice tasty treats on show, I quite liked that modified 400 tourer and the 214 SEI, maybe one day I will try a R8 Rover.
Mine is the 75 Tourer parked next to yours in the hotel. It was mint but was bumped on the motorway last night on the offside front! Extremely annoying just before show day!
I like the MG TF in yellow, parked outside your hotel. The colour suited it well. The blue MG Magnette was very appealing, too. I was surprised to find myself liking the Rover Streetwise. I had always imagined that I would not.
Oh Sir. This is right up my street. All of those beautiful Rover 800s, especially the 827Si. Montego Countryman, Rover 214 SEi and a 216 Vitesse, no less. Sorry about that. Great to see French and German Rovers traveling and of course, the Irish Contingent.
Sir, you have jumped three weeks in actual time, but no time at all as far as your UA-cam viewing is concerned. We did like that SD3 Vitesse, and we may see some more tasty 214 SEis as well....
Unfortunately i wasn't able to make it this year and had been looking forward to it so its great to see the show through your videos. The Rover 200 coupe colour your were unsure about is Polynesian turquoise. Love that colour only available for a short period. It should have lasted longer. I prefer the look of the early 200's without the Rover grill they look sportier to me.
Thank you, sir, the early R8s do have something of a following these days! I have definitely heard of Polynesian Turquoise before, I just couldn't remember the name of the colour.
@@lloydvehicleconsulting I'm really looking forward to that, great place to host an event! I meant to go to that unfortunately my Pektron Unit decided to go on strike the following morning!
Great Show, I saw you beavering away, filming. I visited because you & your previous video’s inspired me to do so. Great cars & interesting people
Glad you enjoyed it, sir! I did indeed do a lot of walking this time...
Yes, very rare to see an SD3 on the road these days.
Actually saw a mk2 Ford Orion drive past today. Another rarity.
Sir, we did like those SD3s very much!
Eight parts. I suppose I’m in for the long haul. I did see you walking around filming as well as many other ‘stars’ of the UA-cam MG Rover world.

Yes, we do like the older colour range that Rover used to have in the 1990s.

@@lloydvehicleconsulting Yes my shoes also suffered, absolutely caked in mud by the time I left!
At least I didn't have any problems leaving the site, sir....
@@lloydvehicleconsulting Indeed. I got out okay, but a lot of people got very very stuck. The V8s in particular seemed to suffer quite badly!
Oh sir, ridiculous levels of power, a lot of weight and rear wheel drive...

Sir, there are plenty more tasty treats to come during the next seven parts. The 214 SEis have always been a bit special!
Excellent stuff sir

Oh my goodness me! That is such a shame. Sorry to hear that. I do hope that you are able to get it sorted without too much fuss.

Plenty more of those to come in future parts, sir!
@@lloydvehicleconsulting I am still only part way through so I may update my comment (again 🙂).
Seven more parts to come after this as well, sir.

Good Morning Sir!!
Playing catch-up 😊
Enjoying yourself, sir?
Oops. Went straight into pt 2. Love that blue Maestro near the start, the Rover SD3s and Tomcats. The latter don't seem to have dated.
Never mind, sir! Dan's Maestro 1.6 L always gets plenty of attention wherever it goes. Those SD3s were sublime.
22:04 - I was so ingrossed in a conversation I didn't even notice you passing on my 45 CVT :)
One part down, seven to go, sir, that was still very early on in the day!
@@lloydvehicleconsulting loving it :)
Filmed three more Slightly Shambolic Shuffles yesterday at the Wythall Transport Museum too....
@@lloydvehicleconsulting I'm really looking forward to that, great place to host an event! I meant to go to that unfortunately my Pektron Unit decided to go on strike the following morning!
There's a reason I didn't go for a post mid-2003 45 when I bought my second one, sir unfortunately... I hope that you weren't completely stranded!
We don’t talk about Diesel’s ?
All explained in the first part of the video.
The blue 75 in the hotel is mine and it is forbidden fuel…..sorry
No need to apologise, the Mayor of London and all his friends around the country are the ones who should be apologising!
And at that point I turned off
And I would prefer that you did.
