At 38.39 in you walked past "Quentin" the 200 convertible but it was easy to miss in amongst all the cars. I think previous years it was a lot bigger but still a decent turn out considering the wet ground.
I cycled up from Selly Oak earlier in the morning, it was cold and wet.
My favourite of your vid was the white SD3 Vitesse, I always liked those.
I took both my MGF and TF a few years ago, makes me remember my car's. Mum bought a Mini Jet black from new which I later owned.
Some lovely cars there, so thanks for showing us all around the cars.
Yes there were 2 there but the other had a personal number plate.
It is a good day out but always makes me want another. Thanks for watching and your comment.
Cheers Paul, thoroughly enjoyed this. Great memories for me. So many favourites but I suppose back in the day it was always the Tomcat in the metallic blue(Tahiti?) and the 220 sli. Then later the V6 mgzt. But I actually love them all!!👍👍👍
Yes I would have been happy with any of them. The 216 GTi and 220s are lovely and agree a blue Tomcat would be nice. Wanting a Streetwise but currently have neither the space or funds… Thanks for watching and your support 👍
Great video & nice added drone shots, Including the factory gates. I had never been before, inspired by you, UA-camrs, great day
Thanks. The drone offers a better view… of all the walking 😁 really pleased you completed your first POL.
Nice video - The 1.4Si at 52:15 belongs to me. Loved your MG Metro, absolutely mint!
My Father had the same car in green. Thanks for watching 👍
I saw your metro aswell gorgeous car ❤
Thanks. What car was you showing. Did I walk past it?
@Live to Drive I was just visiting mate I don't own a classic 😪
@@jakemcdonnell9766 hope you do one day..l
Thanks for including my two Rover 75s in the video, mine where the Connoisseur SE with the Vortex alloys and the SKI Blue one with the Viking alloys as well, the one's you said would make a thumbnail of there own hahaha.
Those are beautiful and you have two! Some might say that’s just greedy… I say well done mate! I meant the reference to the thumbnail; it was only my current wanting of a Streetwise that won it. Brilliant cars you have there. I have a modest but great condition early Longbridge 75 Connoisseur registered January 2001.
Great walk around, and don't forget now is the time to snap up a streetwise, but just not a ski blue one. 🤣
I’m thinking maybe you are the one I was chatting with??? Found one I liked yesterday… sold today. Although I will need to sell something first. 🤦♂️
@@LivetoDriveUK yes it was me. I'm thinking if you get one, next pol we need to arrange a St. Photo shoot. As many as possible.
Good to see you and Millie again and great video! I promise to have more videos uploaded before the BMC and Leyland show 👍🏻
I did feel guilty saying that on camera as I know we all have lives to live… but definitely hope you get the videos going soon. ATB.
Not at all, appreciate the shout out!
I saw your Metro on the video for the classic restoration show at the NEC. Love it, its a credit to you. Good to see what's left of the old factory. What is left is the old showroom still there? Looks like it. Beware Rover disease 🤣Its a problem a lot of us suffer with. Michael Fish- i understand well. I was travelling down to London on the day following, boarded a coach at 7am to be told were going as far as Leicester and if the weather doesnt improve we will have to turn round. I said to the person next to me your joking aren't you its only raining! I was then told have you not seen the news? why what's happened ( I didn't do breakfast news (new fangled) to be told oh there's been a hurricane. Suffice to say our journey continued and it was an eventful weekend one that you never forget. A bit like 911 if you were around you remembered. The sd3 rovers are few and far between these days. Its good to see survivors . The early v/p and later versions were nicely appointed. I looked at buying one but like so many of them it had rust issues. They seemed to rust in some unusual places such as the door tops. The owners coming from Romania, Germany etc that's enthusiasts.(i think that's the right word )Good for them. nice to see some of the older cars 1800. triumph 1500 . 1000's etc. they tend to get drowned out with the cars from the 80's onwards. I think its amazing to see how many of the cars appear to have factory registrations.45.33-the wheels on the 75 are 17 inch start spoke(5 spoke). The 18inch are vortex 47.18 and have 7 spokes. I take it Reggie is a 75? The v8 has a roush supercharger. 52.09 Metro Van i believe this gentleman comes from Bury and i have seen this vehicle before. It was parked next to me at a show. all was not as it first appeared and there was some very clever metal work /customisation performed. Enjoyable video. Thanks for your time and sharing.
Thanks. I love the restoration show and was thrilled to be able to display Millie; and it meant I could film before the public arrived.
Yes the storms were extreme. If I recall it hit an area close to my parents home in Kings Heath, Birmingham.
Thanks for the info on the wheels. Yes I have a Pre-Project Drive 75; just 1.8 K Series.
It is so nice to see all the cars there and speak to some of the enthusiastic and passionate owners.
Many thanks for watching and your comment.
25:16 that was my streetwise there 🤣🤣
Ah yes… one that I wanted to take home 🤦♂️👍
I have done a few POLs. Think the last one 2019. Will be there next year hopefully
Yes I love the event and look forward to the next one if the weather permits.
I had a blue montego and I loved it
Had a Rover Montego 1.6 LX and loved it.
I was there and loved it I'm in two minds weather to buy an automatic 75 for the next pride of longbridge
The 75 is still cheap to buy at the mo.
hope to have my 114 gta there this year, just had the sills, archs n floors done
Great. We are also planning on being there.
11:33 Afraid not, its my 214S! The S came before the i and has an SU carb rather than fuel injection. ;)
Ah of course and I should have known… owned a H Reg Rover Metro 1.1… which was carb. A lovely car with or without the “I” 😊
Thank you!
Nice to see you to see you nice😂
6:46 Misidentified sadly. Its on a P Plate which means its a 1995 so that means its a 200 3rd Generation.
If it is the reg “PH54 MFH” it is in fact a Rover 25 not a 200. Registered 3/09/2004. Looking forward to your channel’s “Revamp.” 👍
