Air Play Beats are the ONLY Reactors I watch on the regular❤ You can tell they know what's up- being musicians ✌🏼Also learned alot from ppl's comments- about music I've listened to for decades. 😎 COOL!
I saw them soooo many times in concert that I lost count but let me say that, they always played their songs just a little different each time, l couldn't and wouldn't miss a show and I did it each time for $5.50 but would sit in the $7.50 seats. Best times of my life 🤘🥰💖🎶Led Head for life 🤘
Emily, you are one lucky lady, lol! Happy for you! I would "count" myself blessed if I could only have counted even just ONE time seeing them live! Alas, I became a "Led Head" for life just around '78 - '79...
As our church organist did in the 70s and is done to this day and has been done for a couole centuries almost, the organ is equipped with bass pedals and carries the underlying bass part. I used to sit on the organist's bench as a kid with Harold (Mr. Line) and be fascinated how he was doing 2 to 4 things at once. His old hands turning the page, hands playing the keys, hands pulling/pushing the levers/buttons/stops, feet bouncing over those big pedals and him smiling at me as i watched. Mom was chior director and pianist and still teaches Advanced Russian Technique piano today at 88. In fact, she's napping after teaching 3 kids this morning. Great memories. Thanks for listening...
Ah yes... those memories. I grew up in a house with an organ played by the church's future organist (my sister). It was so fun to hop on it and try to play the music with my hands and feet... definitely paved the way for my drum skills when my sis moved out and we sold her organ to pay for my first drum kit
My dad (RIP) was the organist at our church, when I was groing up, and others as I got older. I wish I had appreciated it more when I was a kid. He was really great, though. I loved it when he played Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor, the "spooky music". Lol😊
I was fortunate to see them one time on Jan. 29th at The Coliseum in Greensboro, NC in 1975. I was 14 years old and went with my 16 old sister and some of her friends. Never would have thought I’d never see them again 😕. I highly recommend you watch the documentary film “The Song Remains the Same”. It was filmed in 1973 over the course of a three-night stand at Madison Square Garden.
The best rhythm section in music history! Bonzo on fire. JPJ plays the electric piano, playing the bass pedals with his feet on Misty Mountain Hop. Both song titles were inspired by Tolkien's Lord of the Rings which Robert Plant was reading quite a bit on tour.
Love how you give Jonsey the respect. You got ears tuned to bass due to your HipHop appreciation. It’s great to see as so many other reactors only hear and compliment the other 3, which is sad, as Jonsey does soooo much. I kind of wish you could tune out Jonsey completely as people would then realise how important he is to every song. An equal to the other 3 in every way. The mighty Led Zeppelin!
You Two,ARRRGGGHHHH. You have ruined, spoiled, mind F%$#^d me, and make me yearn for my youth. Listening to you two reminds, no. Takes me back to my youth. Any number of us sitting around, buzzed out of our minds listening to Zeppelin and just talkin about the music. I think that maybe you two are some of my dead friends reincarnated. Thanks for the memories.
Thank you for reacting to Led Zeppelin today. I’ve never heard this version. It’s fabulous! Jimmy really is playing from his soul. I like Robert’s vocal too. Of course JPJ and Bonzo are friggin awesome!!!! EDIT: JPJ does play the Bass with his feet.
Che and La another fabulous reaction. Thank you so much for taking the time reacting to this phenomenal live recording. Fasten your seat belts it’s about to get real loud up in hear. You will be blown away with the rest of the album Jimi, JPJ, Bonzo and Robert will take you on a trip of massive improvisation for the remainder of this masterpiece. Bonzo and JPJ are the band. Great bands have a great percussionist. The bass player is basically a percussionist with strings. That is what my guitar teacher told me 46 yrs ago. I started playing bass at 6 yrs old. I only played for 9 yrs. I still remember him telling me the most important person or persons in a band are the drummer and the bassists. With the Zeppelin machine you have that, and for the icing on the cake you have one of the 🐐 🐐 on guitar who is out of this world. Then Robert probably one of the 🐐 🐐 as a front man this band was very special. I would have loved to be at this concert. Gentleman thank you for your expertise reactions keep up the great work…
JPJ is playing bass pedals. He does this on many songs live including Since I've Been Loving You and Stairway to Heaven. Like great drummers, great keyboard players have total limb independence.
Love the channel and all the love you give Zeppelin. Check out The girl I love she got long black curly hair. The story is that this was written and performed impromptu at a BBC session in 1969. Worth a listen.
They were kind of a jam band live. Long solo's, different vocal melodies, so different from popular acts now where everything's perfect or autotuned or pre-recorded or whatever. They never used other musicians onstage, the 4 of them just played their songs really live. And they liked doing it, that's why their concerts were 3+ hours so often.
Guys... You should check out their live album Celebration Day from 2007.. it was the best reunion show where note for note they showed they still have it after All these years!

I love you guy's & your reactions. You're obviously musicians who hear all the details & have great insights. To me, this year was a peek for their live performances.
This is one of the best recordings of Robert Plant singing. He sounds real good here. I have heard live in other concerts where he sounded flat. I was a singer in a chorales for many years, so that is where my background in music comes from.

Speaking of Early Zeppelin, AND JPJ in "Octopus Mode," LOL, there are two killer live vids I see you guys haven't hit yet. Both from 1970 Royal Albert hall. Both feature JPJ, like, practically dancing with his bass while trading head nods and stank faces with Bonzo as they lay down the killer rhythm. "I can't quit you baby" (Same live audio from "Coda" u guys reacted to recently) and "Dazed & Confused," which clocks in at 15 minutes, and is even more kick-ass than the quarter-hour you just gave yourselves, and us!
Led Zeppelin II was groundbreaking at the time, but unfortunately remained commercially in the shadow of IV and because of some popular songs from IV, it works at least as well as a whole album. Misty Mountain Hop live here is just awesome. For completely different reasons, I love the bluesy+innovative LZ I and don't like rankings I-IV at all. The sound via the internet is just good now. Thanks!

Compare this to the studio version - the change in singing / production is so interesting. He uses his voice in really different way. Both amazing but a bit of a different feeling in the emotion.
I got this album for Christmas in 1976 when I was 14. I love it, BUT - I think, for a first listen, you guys would be better served to do the "studio" versions of these songs. Their studio production values were very high, and you just don't get the original mix with the live versions. But yes, the live energy is awesome, even half a century later...
JPJ plays the bass on bass pedals while he plays the keys.
Yes!!
The secret sauce to Led Zeppelin
Not uncommon in churches everyday
Seen them live in 75, first concert , I was 8 yrs old.
Like Geddy Lee and Ray Manzarek. And it blows my mind.

Awesome!!!

Led Zeppelin arguably both the greatest band ever and the greatest live band ever.
