Simply the GOATS OF GOATS. There is before Elvis, then after him. There was the Beatles, them after them. There was Led Zeppelin, then after them! 😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Most of Jimmy Pages live guitar work was improvised, that's what makes it so great, the band as a whole rarely rehearsed and just bounced off each other 😊
Zeppelin recorded very little official live things. The one that they did do is from Madison Square Garden in 1973 and is one of the most iconic live performances ever recorded. So most of the official live stuff you see will be from this concert. However, there are some official live recordings from other concerts where they have individual songs. Earls Court from 1975 and Knebworth from I believe 1979. And there is a complete live performance from Albert Hall as well from 1969. The last three venue recordings were released in 2003 when Jimmy Page, the guitarists, gathered all the unreleased recordings he could find, many from bootlegs, and made a double dvd of them. It also has a few random songs on the dvd not from any of the previously mentioned venues.
First of all great reaction, and I think choosing Black Dog was a good choice. Led Zeppelin have many different types of songs, from hard rock to tender ballads. They are rock, blues, folk, and jazz influenced. Many of their songs reflect these influences. My personal favorites are their rock/blues songs and blues songs. In regards to your comments on the vocals, and guitar playing, they are improvised, and different from concert to concert. LZ never play a song the same way when performing live, and their live songs are different than the way they record them. So if your wondering how Jimmy Page remembers his guitar solo's in live performances, he doesn't. They are created as he plays based on recordings and prior performances. If you do more LZ reactions, I would recommend their song Kashmir live at Knebworth 1979 official video. It has amazing tempo and rhythm changes, amazing vocal adlibs, fabulous stage presence, and an epic ending.
Great choice , well every single song from this concert are a pure jewel.Check Whole lotta love , Rock and Roll , or the amazing pure blood Blues Since i've been loving you ( there's two vídeos from this concert , don't check the oficial one , it's much better the other one and you can see the reactions from the audience). Thanks and congratulations. Keep on rocking !!!
I'm glad this piece made the final cut of the movie because it really was outstanding work by all four players. It's a good example of how tight they were with each other.
First, this song had no name when Robert wrote it at Headly Grange. As the story goes when asked what's it called he said Black Dog. There was a dog roaming around the property while he was writing. This footage is from a 3 night stand they did at Madison Square Garden in 1973 and was later used in their concert movie "The Song Remains the Same" which came out in 1975.
i think they did 3 consecutive shows at MSG, and if you play one version of each song, there's versions of Stairway to Heaven that are better than others. even if the videos look the same
it's a bit sad that JPJ didnt want to come to the forefront, he could have made memorable Bass solos. Maybe it's standard for bassists to prefer to stay on the side. Like the Bassist in Grand Funk Railroad, the singer had to move behind the bassist to 'force' him to come forth :)
I do wish these reactors would wait until the end, & then sum up their thoughts. But then I don’t know why, most can’t go 10 minutes with drinking their drink 20 times, it’s distracting.
@@christopherone1no they aren’t, & they hated that term, so do I when it comes to them. Led Zeppelin is far better the any metal band, but then they are the greatest compared to any band.
Yes, you're right, that song is from the same concert..... it's from the legendary concert live at the Madison Squares Garden, in 1973....it's a movie, called: "THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME", from that concert at New-york, in 1973, but the movie was released in 1976! PEACE FROM FRANCE GUYS ✌️ 😂
do the original first if you do not know a song listen to the original that was what was famous not a live ruined by arena sound -DUMB DUMB YOU DO NOT NOT KNOW THIS FROM THIS VERSION THIS IS NOT THE LEGENDARY RECORDING MASTERPIECE THAT WAS SO FAMOUS AND IT IS STUPID TO PICK SOME LIVE THING WITH COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SOUND AND DIFFERENT ARRANGEMENT
They are magnificent live!! Yes same concert...Madison Square Garden 1973!
He is a good drummer. The world agrees.
Page was a studio musician for a few years before he ever started Led Zep.
He knew what he was doing.
He was the most sought after studio guitarist, & played with The Yardbirds, before creating Led Zeppelin.
Loved your reaction. Led Zeppelin best band to grace this planet. 4 master musicians. Jimmy Page best guitarist ever

The same song in each concert is always different too, the basics are true to the song, with great improvisation.
Always a pleasure to see Jimmy Page making love to his guitar!!!
God I love him!
iNDEED...BLUSHING
Yes he definitely knows how to too.

Don't forget Kashmir live at celebration day , 40 years later , they still amazing. 😊
I agree, but I think that is the second best option. However both of these performances have the best sound and video quality. @@jaumepiquebernaus1853

Greatest econic 4 musicians to ever grace this planet!!!! FACT!! (IMHO)
This song and the others you mentioned are from the concert film The Song Remains the Same (1976).

One kick drum. Jimmy is the best.
Big legged women is said by the English, referring to a gold digger! Nothing to do with the size of her legs😂😂😂
Footage was part of a film: “The song remains the same."
I like black dog but I’ve never listened to it to the end until today

You guys earned a sub from me today!
Rock and roll feeling??! Lol, seriously? This is Led zeppelin, the original gods of rock. Yeah, its rock and roll, lol

I think JPJ was more shy, plus when touring, he had the freedom to roam the cities.
@@sicotshit7068 maybe he had a steady girlfriend and he didn't want to look too rock star type of musician

This is hard rock proto metal!!
Or grooving blues rock.
proto metal? Led Zeppelin is so not a 'metal band'
