Love it Chopsy - no doubt that is a special bike and I entirely get the joy of ownership thing relating to the engineering within the bike, I so hope you keep this one for long enough for it to become a classic......one of those bikes that has grown on me, I didn't like it when it first came out but the more I see yours the more I like it - and of course it's much better "in the flesh" than even your superior editing skills make it look. Good to see the white van boys make an appearance half way through, didn't seem to present too much of an obstacle to the mighty H2 though! Ride safe mate!
Talking about bikes we never thought we`d own.... 10 years ago i lived in a cardboard box with a €150 pr day heroin habit. Long story short, alot of good things (and some bad) happened and now i`m 9 years clean and just bought my dream bike, a Yamaha MT-10!! It`s not new, it`s not the SP, it`s a 2016 with 8500 miles on it but still... I OWN A YAMAHA MT-10🤩 Life is good🙂
I've been offered a Ninja H2 too by a dealer here, the thing is I'm in Asia but I'm really obsessed with this bike, I may may not drive it to its full capacity(roads here ain't that good compare to Europe and the USA) but i think everyone will be happy if they always see a garage queen. This bike is a heritage and wouldn't depreciate. H2 SX is good too but nothing will beat the joy of those who are driving the original H2😎 more power to you chops!
@@LambChopRides mate maybe you need a last upgrade, a complete Black Diamond fairing kit from "webike" in Japan, they have belly/rake cowls and even fairings that wraps the tank partially, the most expensive fairing kit is the one that got carbon composite on, they also have pure carbon fiber parts but it's so expensive. So you can preserve the original parts and it wouldn't hurt your feeling if you will accidentally drop that beauty again.
Now this Bike really is something special 240 BHP at the rear wheel 😲 incredible !! Also looks better with the wheel rim tape in my opinion. Stay safe and take care !

The tape looks ok - the green looks very Kawasaki - but I like the 'no tape' look more. The all dark look makes it look very "stealth", or it looks all business. I agree with you about the gauges. The analogue look is classy. I think people get gaw gaw over the TFT just because it's new and high techy. What an awesome machine ! I've had Kawasaki's mostly and you say that it weighed 240 KG wet. My 1994 ZX9R B1 weighed 242 KG wet in stock form too. I like the feel of a slightly heavier bike as it gives it some road holding stability. I wish I could own that amazing bike someday !
Great video Chops... awesome bike... can’t wait for Kawasaki to do a next gen but as a proper sport bike with lots of weight reduction. Note... It’s not the supercharger impeller breaking the sound barrier, that’s just marketing speak, Kawasaki engineers will shake their head.... when does it happen... when you shut your throttle after using some boost.... it’s the blow-off valve releasing the boost pressure... blow off valves can be silent but you can also chose the sound volume and note to suit your preference. Brock performance talks about this in one of his videos on the H2. Blow off valves are not strictly necessary on a supercharger bike as the impeller is mechanical driven. Turbos need a blowoff valve as stalling the impeller/compressor wheel can shear the shaft. Again the blowoff valve is their to everyone knows this thing is supercharger... marketing in action not just in sound but also in (incorrect) blurb for sales people to repeat 🔁
I think with the paint being either reflective or dull relative to light conditions the rim tape helps add a splash of colour! I raise your dog bed, I had some spare piping that had been in the beams for eleven years and it fell out one night: hit the bike on tank and left hand fairing. Then when it hit the floor it somehow managed to take out the side stand. £3k out of pocket... I’d been saving for some mods and ended up buying more OEM gear!!! Still at least my petrol tank wasn’t 2k - I’d have had a heart attack!
Think you should get the proper Kawasaki H2 rim tape, brilliant quality, only down side is, if you put it on and don’t like it, it’s a complete arse to remove!!😉
In 97 i had a new Blackbird. At low speeds/traffic the tiniest throttle would leap you forward ...and spin the rear tire when very slippery. Solution. I braced the throttle by kind of holding the grip high up, so also holding where it met the throttle mount ...thus braced i could open the throttle micro amounts to suit. Accelerating sometimes was just a thought - id think accelerate and my wrist would turn inperceptably body wise, but i know id done something cos the bike speeded up. Madness.lol. it was a grey import - maybe that's why . Personally i wouldn't tinker with your H2 mapping endlessly- just leave it in a "normal" road mode - its not trying to kill you like the 1970s bikes were(!)..you'll get use to it.
About the chirping noise stemming from the impeller breaking the sound barrier, I think that is absolute BS. As you surely noticed, it happens when you close the throttle, so it is the boost generated by the compressor escaping through the blow off valve to avoid damage to the compressor blades or the throttle bodies. See pages 1-12 and 1-16 in the H2's service manual. The H2 is a marvelous bike. I currently own a 10R.
A commendable job at reviewing a modern icon of two wheeled engineering. I hope to look forward to seeing a long-term ownership experience at some point. Ride safe!

As for the rim tape, I would say yes with the following suggestion. Match the green color on a couple, and I mean JUST a couple of bits on the sides. I believe it will balance out the green detail on each side. As in the fork caps, on the top of your front forks. Damn, I was thinking about buying a Z900RS, but now I need to see if the local dealer still has last year's sitting on his showroom floor on sale!
Gorgeous machine Chops. Love the engineering myself as well, and only wish I could afford it 😂 My vote goes for no rim tape. Just makes it look cheap to me.
I loved the old Kawakers back in the 80’s and 90’s but the newer ones never really did it for me but I have to say the H2 is looking good and your bike looks and sounds fantastic Choppsy! 👍🔥🔥 and I like the rim tape.
What a beautiful machine. Would never get one myself even if I could afford it (which I can't) because it is not practical. But what a machine. Lovely camera work too Chops.
Hi Chopz, love the vids! I’m 6ft 2, 15.5st looking at my first sports bike for weekend use from spring. What would your Top 3 600 range recommendations be? Cheers!
G'day Mr Chops. Super video as usual. It's not a pretty bike but what a monster. How the chassis can handle the power without twisting itself into knots is beyond me, and the transmission will be taking a hell of a hiding from the engine torque. Having said that. I would tuck her up and put her in hibernation for the winter. The wheels should be lined but with real paint, get a pro to do it.
Great vid chops you go from strength to strength, didn't know the story of the H2 so was excellent, not been with the channel long 4 or 5 months watched few of you back catalogue ho how you have changed .. great future coming I think ..
Love it chops!!! I'm still gutted you sold Suzi but hey ho 😉 Please tell me how you find shopping with the USA? Is there more tax to be calculated or is it sold as seen? Cheers fella 👍🏻🍻🏴
Hi Chops, Simply an awesome motorcycle. As you’ve said a definite future classic. With rim tape 👍. Sucking a 100 litres of air per second left me drop jawed in front of my TV 😲...unreal. Thanks for bring her out for a little show and tell ♥️🏍. Cheers.
Chops we do have ethanol fuel here and have done for a while. In fact it’s law now it must have at least 5% in as of this year. It’s not “shit” though as every UA-cam “expert” seems to think. Like any fuel it has its drawbacks but it is actually cleaner burning (and helps remove the carbon deposits) and it’s higher octane than the regular petrol so gives a bit more power on the H2 and other knock sensitive engines.
I'm just a dude so idk, but imo the sound that the supercharger makes is caused by air hitting the closed throttle valve and bouncing back and hitting the impeller, otherwise you'd be able to hear it at higher revs and not just when you close the throttle
I had a Kawasaki with forced induction..30 years ago, but it definitely did NOT have 300+bhp!! Yep, a GPz750 Turbo.. & if it made more than 100hp I’d have been amazed lol The digital boost gauge was fun though :) Your bike is something else.. I think I would hurt myself on that!
Danger-Noticed a lock nut has fell off a cable @ 21:45 in & definitely worth telling you mate!!! 👍 My eyes are just ridiculously good for a 42 year old!!! 🤣
Good morning Chops. Regarding the ethanol subject, I was only looking into it yesterday. Seems we have it in some fuels ‘The majority of unleaded 95 Octane petrol sold in the UK contains up to 5% ethanol as required under the Government's Renewable Transport Fuels Obligation (RTFO)’. There are some without, Esso I believe is one with their higher octanes. Great channel bud, keep up the good work.
Im not one for comparing Fuels,i have two Major Brands ( Esso & BP ) local to me,but this year on one of my rides i filled up with Shell V-Power,ran it for a couple of Tanks worth and my Bike had lost a bit of Sparkle and Smoothness.Went back to Esso and the difference was quite noticeable.
My 2017 numbered Carbon has 20km on it, the ECU is not Mitsubishi but Bosch, 2017 the year they changed. The chirping is not the impeller breaking the sound barrier but the blow off valve working which gets a little quieter with km's. Yes lots of weight saving to be had, I fitted the 'Austin Racing' muffler which made a bit of a difference.
Lovely bike Chops but maybe gunmetal grey rim tape would look cool to match the frame.Great idea for a video would be a top speed run at Ellvington with some cheeky wheelies thrown in for good measure.
Lamb Chop Rides That's good news . Top man . Really tempted to get an H2 as I think it maybe the apex of the hyperbikes as we know them ,before it's all electric 😢
What a fantastic piece of engineering. I can't see where anyone can use that kind of power on the road though. It must be so challenging to resist giving it the beans.
dang, 2 years and less than 3k miles.... That is wild to me lol.
Less than 3k on an H2R that costs 55,000 US dollars. It is the most expensive motorcycle made by any of the major manufacturers on their websites.

Astonishing bike, those noises from the supercharger are gorgeous. Chirpy, Chirpy, cheep, cheep 😂
That is one bad ass bike. Great video. Green tape on the wheels is awesome.
Oh blimey that sound absolutely horrific! Nothing worse than seeing your pride and joy on its side 😥
What a great bike. Really enjoyed hearing about your experiences of riding it!
Thanks 👍👍
Definitely keep the rim tape looks amazing with the other green accents!
Think you should get the proper Kawasaki H2 rim tape, brilliant quality, only down side is, if you put it on and don’t like it, it’s a complete arse to remove!!😉
The antithesis of the Perodua Nippa, I salute you for having the cherries to pick up the keys and get stuck in!
Hard to believe its been two years you've had this already chops! Can't wait to hear what you think about the new zx10r when that finally releases
Lovely machine chops. Definitely looks better with the green rim tape. She's a keeper for sure.
A commendable job at reviewing a modern icon of two wheeled engineering. I hope to look forward to seeing a long-term ownership experience at some point. Ride safe!
Thanks Sunny
deffo without the rim tape. keep that classy look and stay away from standard sports bike look. makes the chrome stand out more
Don’t go carbon fibre wheels. Gordon Murray said carbon should not be used for wheels as the smallest chip can result in catastrophic damage.
Stunning bike choopsy, definitely going to be a future classic 😍 nice to see it back on the channel
Great video Lamb Chop. The bike is looking very nice and it does look better with the wheel trim.
Cheers Chops love the passion. Into another 3 week lockdown in Italy thanks for keeping me sane.
H2r: Drag strip all day
H2: Make sure there are no cops then send it
H2sx: You want to go fast but have a child and wife
Z h2: Wheeling machine brings out your hooligan
Without rim tape looks much more classy and clean. Really awesome bike man!
Hahaha such an great bike review! They way your talking about it and still so amazed by it says it all.
Cheers mate
Gorgeous machine Chops. Love the engineering myself as well, and only wish I could afford it 😂
My vote goes for no rim tape. Just makes it look cheap to me.
Thanks 👍👍
Doesn't time fly......I remember when you bought the H2, only seems like yesterday!!!!
Sure is a bike of beauty on many levels. Stay safe mate
I loved the old Kawakers back in the 80’s and 90’s but the newer ones never really did it for me but I have to say the H2 is looking good and your bike looks and sounds fantastic Choppsy! 👍🔥🔥 and I like the rim tape.
The chitter from the SC is the pressure bypass valve opening.
What a beautiful machine. Would never get one myself even if I could afford it (which I can't) because it is not practical. But what a machine. Lovely camera work too Chops.
H2 SX might have been a better buy...always nice to have that amount of power and be comfortable as well......Brock Davidson got 250whp out of an SX
Yeah agreed, plenty of power available on the SX 👍
Hi Chopz, love the vids! I’m 6ft 2, 15.5st looking at my first sports bike for weekend use from spring. What would your Top 3 600 range recommendations be? Cheers!
G'day Mr Chops. Super video as usual. It's not a pretty bike but what a monster. How the chassis can handle the power without
twisting itself into knots is beyond me, and the transmission will be taking a hell of a hiding from the engine torque.
Thanks Mark appreciated buddy 👍
Love it chops!!!
I'm still gutted you sold Suzi but hey ho 😉
Please tell me how you find shopping with the USA? Is there more tax to be calculated or is it sold as seen? Cheers fella 👍🏻🍻🏴
That's got to be one of the best looking H2's I've seen.
Awesome job Chops 👌
Hi Chops,
Simply an awesome motorcycle. As you’ve said a definite future classic.
With rim tape 👍.
Sucking a 100 litres of air per second left me drop jawed in front of my TV 😲...unreal.
Thanks for bring her out for a little show and tell ♥️🏍.
Cheers.
Nice vid as usual! Does it have an "Exup" valve in the exhaust stock? Thought i saw some wires dangling about.
Yes indeed, that's what the cables are for 👍
Excellent H2 review, 2k 60 fps quality🤩: you are the best Lamb Chop 👌
4:53 Holy crap those are the best downshifts I have ever heard
The rim tape is a winner. Crack out the tape and jazz up the other side 👌
Great video, really enjoyed that. Love that little chirrup when you come off the throttle!
& if it made more than 100hp I’d have been amazed lol The digital boost gauge was fun though :)
Your bike is something else.. I think I would hurt myself on that!
Danger-Noticed a lock nut has fell off a cable @ 21:45 in & definitely worth telling you mate!!! 👍
My eyes are just ridiculously good for a 42 year old!!!
Ah ok interesting indeed.. that's really good to know 👍
Im not one for comparing Fuels,i have two Major Brands ( Esso & BP ) local to me,but this year on one of my rides i filled up with Shell V-Power,ran it for a couple of Tanks worth and my Bike had lost a bit of Sparkle and Smoothness.Went back to Esso and the difference was quite noticeable.
Yeah next year it's going on the runway for sure! 👍
Lamb Chop Rides That's good news . Top man . Really tempted to get an H2 as I think it maybe the apex of the hyperbikes as we know them ,before it's all electric 😢
yes to the rim tape , and a bit of pin striping on the tank . i almost bought my self one of these bad boys
The EPA kills on fuel quality , our octane max is 93 with the best fuel available
What a fantastic piece of engineering. I can't see where anyone can use that kind of power on the road though. It must be so challenging to resist giving it the beans.
