In 2019, Ryan did this homage to the H2 with references to Top Gun. Fast forward to 2022, and Tom Cruise rides the H2 in Top Gun Maverick movie. Perfect!
I farted in your grandma's breathing machine
He doesn't ride the H2
@@LanaaAmor Yes he does Karen, it's an H2 Carbon.
@@LanaaAmorits quite clearly an h2 in the new one lmao😂
In the first top gun tom cruise rode a GPZ900R which is considered the first ninja
How the HELL do you get this creative?!
Not saying bad word be good start!
It's just a movie parody bike review, calm down lol
Gears and Gasoline it’s unbelievable isn’t it? Whole different level.
it is all that Canadian weed:)
Motorbikes baby!
A true polymath: marketing, finance, riding, biting sarcasm. No debate, he's too smart to lead a government
True, but I don't think Canada is ready to roll the dice on a female prime minister again yet.
Maybe he can work part time, on the down low, and lead the Canada moose brigade invasion of the Chugach National Forest to secure a strategic pine needle reserve?
A government, yes......the people, no!
Too bad - the current Drama Queen in Ottawa is killing us and embarrassing!
You forgot Physics Teacher...
i think a drag tourer is exactly what a lot of riders want. they arent hitting the track but like to blaze down a straight every now and again or drag race their buddies on the highway and then have a bike that is comfortable enough for weekend sorties and cruising around .
I mean the busa and zx14 are drag tourers!
@@jonmeray713 Busa nd ZX14 have little to no luggage capacitiy and are way too uncomfortable to ride long distances on. The H2 SX is more Busa fast in 50% of the Concours' body.
Yes, but that takes points off the touring factor. Either you have a bike that's comfortable on long roads of all sorts and altitudes or you don't. Having something that probably won't understeer every corner thanks to lots of computing power but still leaves you unsure if the electronic gods are in your favor the next corner isn't really what I'd call "comfortable".
The "drag tourer" line has me cracking up...
Then, 1 year later, Top Gun really feature the H2 in its trailer. Coincidence? Ryan's a time traveler?
Indeed. I also noticed that.
Kawasaki Ninja GPz900R was the bike in Top Gun 1. I think Ryan just knows his motorcycle history really well.
@@davetaylor2124 He's a genius
@@JH09SUMIT it's niche knowledge
The only reason I didn't like the comment was to leave it at 420 likes.
Can we respect the editor for doing this amazing Hollywood level editing for a motorcycle review on UA-cam?
Oh god, the android sent by cyberlife
Check out powerdrift review of kawa versus 650
Agree!! This channel's cinematographic is very beautiful and kinda feels like jeremy era topgear ish.. which is a great thing
My name is Connor no
Yes
I really don't know how to stop watching your videos. FortNine's team is just too good. The scripts, the jokes, the narrative, the beautiful amazing godlike editing (yes that's my fav) and the great shots. Simply amazing work. Well done, everybody!
I don’t own a motorcycle, but I like to watch his reviews! Am I alone here?
Yes you didn't
@@JohnWayne110711 years ago I was just like you ... I am on third bike now and thinking about a new one for next year ;)
Owning a bike isn't hard, as long as you go for a bike that's right for you and not what you think will get you brownie points with the local riders. And as for fun, a mechanically sound used Ninja 250 is 90% as fun as a new R1. Spending more don't buy happiness, it just makes you poorer.
@@twotone3471 ahah yep you are right the ninja 250 was my first bike and I could push that little thing behind 600 and 1000 cc they were all amazed how a 250cc could keep them with up ;) I ride a vstrom now stay safe on the road buddy
@@GilbertCarosinPhotography You were able to keep up because the Ninja 250 allowed you to learn the skills without killing you. Learning on a 600RR might be what people think they won't "Outgrow" but how many will not use the bike's acceleration as a crutch for poor cornering skills? Far better to learn how to corner fast early on in a rider's experiences than have a bike that you can "get on it" on the straightaways right off.
I was lucky to run into "Twist of the Wrist" fairly early on when I was learning to ride. Still go back to it to check what bad habits I pick up now and then. The movie is pretty corny, but excellent for describing the basic mechanics of riding.
I lost it at "A dumpster fire is 25% more efficient than the regular H2"
Damn it I wish I hadn’t scrolled down and read this right before he said that!
Did you find it later
I lost it @ 8:46 - volleyball oil. Big LoL for all that watched Top Gun.
I need to get myself a dumpster fire than.
Then you did not watch it attentively. He is talking about fuel efficiency. I guess you lost it way before he mentioned dumpster fire.
I like watching Fortnine reviews even for bikes I have no interest in.
I like watching Fortnite reviews even If i can't afford any of these bikes :(
I second that
I third that shit 😏
esoteric video
You must check out PowerDrift!
I can’t believe how great this video is. One part homage to a classic movie, one part thoughtful review, and one part love letter to video making itself. Star, writer, editor, producer - you all deserve enormous kudos for bringing this into the world.
This channel is getting more love than I think I've ever seen heaped on any other since I've been watching UA-cam! I am gratified to see so little petty jealousy or rude comments just to be nasty.Good for you everyone! And I'm being serious here not facetious. Well deserved praise.
I can't believe I just found this channel. This is genuinely some of the best moto-journalism I've EVER come across from top to bottom. This man deserves an award for this content if he doesn't already have one. PLEASE keep it up!
Ohh yes. Top quality production. Welcome on board :-)
The photography and production qualities of this episode are just outstanding. Far too easily taken for granted but that's what exceptional work does.
I don't even understand how he got such beautiful footage of the mountain road. It's literally better than Hollywood movies, just amazing.
@@Ritalie all the on bike footage where he rolls and rotates the frame, are shot on a spherical camera, which records literally everything. Then in post production you can "punch out" a rectangle of footage or warp perspectives, you can spin the shot, do "barrel rolls," zoom in and out, and do all kinds of creative stuff. I'm the lead quality engineer for GoPro's newest spherical camera (he's using our previous model the Fusion in this video), so I could go on for a while about it haha.
Anthony JS Go on then, please.
@@anthonyjs8048 What is the go to Camera now? Aug 2020. I have been looking onto 360 for some of my tours and can't decide what to get. How does the Fusion stack up? I might go for an older model to start. The footage in this video looks really good. Cheers
He wouldn't know how to turn down the engine power to tune for track positioning in corners.
He's dangerous and a danger to other people.
Listening to male gossip like this video can side track your life for 20 years.

the editing and camerawork is amazing. This costs a lot of time and effort. Respect.
Love it! So many cool and fun references, it was almost like a combination between a great review and a nostalgic stand up routine :) probably the best motorcycling video I've see yet :) Love this channel and all the reviews and insight, keep up the good work!
Fortnine makes the best motorcycling content in entire UA-cam 🙋
Mototzigane is this his best video?
so agree with that!
Stark Parker
This is not, there are few better than this.
No one is more creatively funny.
Mototzigane .... Really which? ... easy to make a statement without giving a proof ..
This is over the top and cheesy AND I LOVE IT! Well done! This channel is continuously setting new standards for a what a motorcycle review should or could be
max wrist is the best motorcycle editor? bitch please its the guy from fortnine
please make a video about how can we increase the pickup of bike
The amount of effort review a motorcycle is crazy... Definitely an inspiration to give your best in whatever craft you take part
I absolutely love how you find an analogy for all these bikes and then lean in hard. Just like the classic British theme for the continental 650 and the chicken delivery for the z125. That makes these videos better than other bike reviews. Well done Ryan
When the quality of your bike reviews puts all other bike reviews to shame, you know you're doing something right, but when the quality of your reviews also puts most hollywood production houses to shame, you know you are on to a winner. Keep up the great work FortNine 😀👍
Quality of his bike review put all others bikes review to shame, even i had been thinking same then i watched

Sooo non turbos at altitude are .... Naturally gasp-irated.....
I'll show myself out...
LOL! :-)
I’m so tempted to be that guy with adenoid saying ‘oh actually..’ but I’ll like your comment and laugh instead because that’s a good one 😂
@@AlphaQYT I’ll do it. Naturally aspirated is a misnomer. The real term is normally aspirated
Because the horsepower turbos give on that altitude won't reach its peak.
Mad respect for such a detailed TOP GUN motorcycle remake. I'm more blown away by how you got all the micro details from that movie right than anything else. You're review is already amazing, this video is that much greater with the creativity and editing behind it
My thoughts exactly 👍
Wow, I can't believe this was from FOUR YEARS AGO????? I JUST watched the Top Gun sequel at the theatre the 3rd day it was out last month in 2022. Just timeless.
Really outdone yourself with this one lads. Give your editor and camera guys a cookie each
'Tis the same dude. Two cookies for Aneesh, then. ~RF9
@@FortNine you guys are awesome. Thank you for the fun nostalgia, the quality and the honesty about the bikes! Top Gun was a huge experience back then. Still a classic.
I hope you are getting ad money and I hope you get biz offers etc. But if you do something else, you gotta tell us so we can follow it.
that is honestly the best camera work I've seen in a motorcycle review for a while. absolutely love it
Now that’s a good review ! A touch of comedic value goes a long way.
Thank you very much!
Such a great team you have Ryan.
Very evident in this review. Love it.
It’s just him and Aneesh
How is it possible that every F9 review is better than the last? Will we ever reach a pinnacle? I am thinking no. Soon minds will be exploding due to the sheer awesomeness of these videos. Watch at your own risk....
Xterrential lolol
There was an exception to that, with the BMW 310.
A perfectionist's next project is always better the previous...especially if it is passion driven
True
@@elliottg5987 I thought so too, but then i realized that the whole 310 review was done in rhyme, and the creativity needed to do that just blew my mind.
These are quite easily the best bike reviews on youtube. It'd be cool to see you start reviewing older bikes instead of just the latest machines.
Shooting a review (ish) of our 1970 TC90 next week! ~RF9
Review a children’s tricycle with these cinematics and I’d still watch it
These are quite easily the best reviews on youtube.
FortNine some average classic though like the CB series or XV series. I know we all kinda hate cafes but those bikes can be used for so much more.
RF9, review a Royal Enfield... even though I love mine, I'd love to see how clunky you find it.
I find the quality and entertainment from your videos to be as good as Top Gear originally was for cars. This coming from a guy in youtube with a much lower budget is just incredible.
The quality of the fine humour, informed comments, and quirky bits make you resemble a young James May.
Love the content.
Genius, just flat out the best reviewer in every category. My helmet is off to you sir. Always awaiting even your smallest suggestion. dp

Yes instead of all this other crap that UA-cam pushes on you. I don't even own a bike but from a purely technical standpoint it's outstanding.
What do you do when you see the price tag?
Immediately calculate the duration of a "Ramen Noodles only "diet required to back fill the hole in your finances.
I mean to be fair, people buy cars for 30 grand and houses for way more.
Just live in an apartment, and dont buy a car.
Done, supersport bike financed.
This is why i love bikes, you actually CAN manage to own the top of the line supervehicle, but try to own a top of the line Lamborghini. Bikes are the one thing left where we can partake in the pinnacle of excellence without being millionaires.
@@Baleur also top go karts are affordable
John I laughed out loud at your original comment here. Omg. Hilarious.
@@Baleur living in an apartment will compromise on your bikes security a lot. In 80% of the world. But yes your point is still valid, bikes are an area where a lot of people in the world can have top of the line excellence and it's sad that many governments stringent emissions regulations are killing off so many superbikes in their respective countries when they dont give a shit about emissions from their power stations, Meat industry, waste industries and many many more.
@@Baleur Good points.
This has got to be by far one of my favorite videos you've ever put out.
From time to time I came back to this video and I cant stop thinking about how perfect it is, really fun to watch
I feel like i'm watching a movie. Superb production quality!
Your review actually made me watch the whole Top Gun movie, and I gotta say I'm simply blown away by all the little details you added! From the looks of the volleyball shots to the styling of Ryan's hair.. absolutely amazing!
The second fortnine vid I've watched today. The photography and filming in both was incredible. The editing glorious, and the content informative and entertaining. What more could you want.
This must be the greatest bike review video of all time for one of the most under appreciated bike models of all time. Probably the best all around bike for all tastes ever.
You could review a washing machine and I'd enjoy it. 👌👌👌
This is so much better than most reviews on the same bike.
I started watching this because of the bike, but then I forgot about the bike and enjoyed the amazing editing and scenery in this video! Kudos to yourself and all the creators. What an amazing job!
OMG this is incredible video production quality. So many well played reference
First off, great job. So Mav was riding a Ninja GPZ900R in the original movie, and is riding the Ninja H2R for the new Top Gun movie. Brilliant job connecting those dots for a great review. Also, Ryan, thank you for not going “towels only” in any locker room scenes.
oic ur juss waitin fer him to be jogging slo moe on the beach in a mankini wit corn rows
There was a new top gun?
Jolly Green Biker I think it was a Yamaha FJR.
Outstanding. Brilliant. Fun. Interesting.
Great seamless storytelling, editing, filming, etc. So much better than a normal motorcycle test.
Thanks and keep doing these videos.
This is hands down the best bike review I have ever seen
This is Top Gear quality right here
@FortNine much love from Trinidad and Tobago. Dude, your videos are so good, they are welcome anywhere around the globe. You put so much effort into making videos that are factually accurate and factually inclusive, and factually comprehensive. And on top of that, you make it contemporally relative, and timelessly persistive.

Lmao, I had to go back and expand. Good catch.
Lol I didn't notice that
Keeping up domestic relations.
LoL... for sure that was hilarious but even on my Kawi I flip the Kawi dealer a town over Everytime I pass by... even do a little burn out through their parking lot on my Kawi from time to time... the owners, sales staff and parts folks are knobs beyond belief (the techs are awesome though!! A guy I know is a tech there and that's the only reason I was going to deal with these shit heels)... went in one day to order my ZX14R and I was looking at bit ratty from having just come off a mountain having helped my buddy get his pulp truck working and me and my Versys650 looked a little worse for wear... I was prepared to write the cheque and order right then and there and those assholes treated me like a homeless man... so I ever so politely told them to get fucked, drive 110km to another Kawi dealer I've dealt with.. they had what I wanted still in a crate and we hammered out a deal and 3 days later they even delivered my baby free of charge... Now I'm contemplating this bike or a Versys 1000 and guess who automatically gets the sale????
Yet he has a Honda ad on this video, made me chuckle
Just so creative, I now hear Ryan in my head narrating my ride.
Intelligence + creativity + a whole lot of fun/every day = Ryan’s life. That is how it’s done sports fans. Thanks Ryan!

Best motorcycle reviewer on UA-cam!
I like the Kawasaki Versys X better but amazing as usual :) they have no competition
Love your videos!! They are the best anyone produces and have more info than any 5 other videos put together.
I had to come back one more time; made my day, week, month watching this gold content!
It comes full circle cause this bike is in the new Top Gun movie. Spot on bro.
Maybe far fetched, but this comment is funny cause Rambo (full circle reference) and Top Gun are the two movies parodied by Hot Shots.
The production on these videos is just unmatched. and although i certianly enjoy them VERY much, I am sad it makes these videos far apart. cudos for making them, and thank you FortNine
sadly, there's a part on one of their videos that its hard to get a motorcycle review as the company doesn't lend them one
Froilan Salazar yeah I remember. Weird and very sad.
I've watched this 5 times and I laugh every time. Plus it's super informative and very entertaining!! Love this guy.
It’s not just a detune, the ecu also rarely gives the rider 100% throttle and forces the bike to stop making power prematurely at the top end. Great info about the super charger differences
Can we just appreciate how good the production is on this video
I appreciate the work that went into this one! Especially the volleyball oil!
Great review I bought 1 on the back of this, I've covered 7000 in 5 months and love it, I use it to commute around the UK. After your review of the dl1000 I'm close to picking 1 up for a spare bike to share the miles. Keep up the great reviews I just wish we had your roads and off road areas.
we need more info fam! Share ur experiences with the bike. Id love to hear about it, since its rare to ownone for many reasons!
Great review. Very moving. The whine is fine. I love that sound. Gear driven supercharger. WOW.
Guys genius as usual. Dunno how many grew up as i did with top gun and managed to get all the jokes but to me it was just freaking amazing😅👍🏻
