I thought I knew what I was doing on Publisher but your excellent video taught me a lot. Thanks!! Brilliant production and presentation. Obviously I have subscribed and will be seeking out your other tutorials.
I been using publisher.... trial and error..... I am so happy I found your channel. Did you hear me say out loud, OH THAT'S HOW TO DO THAT ! Thanks. Will be searching for your other tutorial videos. This is the first I saw. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Thank you for going in-depth and showing examples as well. I encountered some problems at first in a project, but I was able to fix them now because of your tutorial
Hello, is possible to insert a background image to show on preview but without print image? I have to print some text on a drawn sheet and I would like to have a preview on the screen.
Good question but no I don't know if you can do that in Publisher. You could insert the background image, then drag it off the page into the scratch area if you don't want to print it.
So glad to have found this video description. Thank you and it is joyfully presented. As for my effort at producing a booklet though I am confused. I followed your method except for only a single sheet folded for a 4 page booklet. Unfortunately, the single A4 page printed double-sided and ended up with page 2 following page 3 which followed the cover or page 1. (i.e. 1,3,2,4after folding ) More dof a problem was the fact that pages 2 and 3 were upside down. Any ideas on how to correct my effort? Thanks in advance.
Glad you found the video helpful. I will admit I had a different printer when filming. I also remember I had to change the printer settings a lot to get the right layout.
Thank you so much for your tutorial .. I have learnt a lot. I am trying to add another page to the booklet and all the other pages have gone out of sequence. HELP :)
If you send a document to a printers for printing how do you setup the page order so they print it in the correct order (40 pages) - nightmare? PDF will have the bleed and cut marks on them. Thanks.
Hi yes this can be fiddly. The logic in this tutorial should work, also worthwhile check tutorial on how to add bleed marks ua-cam.com/video/WpPNUP0rELE/v-deo.html. Obviously ask your printer for a proof (Sample) first. Hope this helps, I feel your pain.
I've been trying to do this with 10 pages and I can't get the back page to print on the back. No matter what I try it ends up in the wrong place with the back page being blank. Help!
Help. on word I created a family history page using boxes with lines connected to other family members and text in box. But when I tried to insert the file into Publisher it will either only copy in a crunched up manner. Boxes overlap?? Any help from your expertise is greatly appreciated. Thank you
I found this to be very helpful, but I was wondering why you didn't use the booklet setting when setting up your pages in the beginning. Is it just not as effective? Thanks
Thanks for the tutorial! I didn't really understand the Master Pages section, but I'm hoping that is okay since I don't want page numbers. Or, are they necessary in printing the booklet correctly so it will fold like that?
Good question! I take it you're taking about reducing the file size in publisher? You could go to the picture format tab, then click on the Compress Pictures button. Might reduce the size enough. if you have Adobe Acrobat Professional you can change the export settings, that would be the best way.
Not only is he helpful, but he's also really cheerful. Thank you, very useful tutorial.

Help!
Sorry to hear that I'll try it with more pages and see if there's something more we need to do. Let me know if it works with less pages.
@@computertutoring It works with fewer pages! I don't know if I need to reorder them or what.

I feel your pain, bringing the file into publisher will do that. I'm afraid you'll have to do it a box at a time. 😔
I found this to be very helpful, but I was wondering why you didn't use the booklet setting when setting up your pages in the beginning. Is it just not as effective? Thanks
Glad it was helpful didn't know about the booklet setting but thanks will check it out now see it's easier watch this space could be another tutorial
Good point. I appears alot easier to use "Booklet" folder.
Then how can i make a project booklet with portfolio
Thank you
You’re welcome

Not necessary for the folding don't give up on Master Pages
@@computertutoring Great! Thanks for replying! :)
I did all this but but it printed out the pg # were out of sync. What did I do wrong?
Thank you for the tutorial.
When I turn on borderless printing in Microsoft Publisher it shifts the first page over 1/4 page.
How to downsize a brochure that is 5MG for emails?
Thx

I have found this so complicated Im not interested in page numbers so did it without and still it does not come out properly
Yes it can be fiddly especially if you don't have a duplex printer. Hope you get it sorted.
How to make and print A4 booklet?
Not too sure but with this method you would need an A3 printer and enter in the dimensions for an A3 size of paper.
15 minutes to get page numbers on the pages? Jesus!
Yeah gotta get those ads in. Thanks for bearing with it.
Thank you very much
You're very welcome
