Hello, is possible to insert a background image to show on preview but without print image? I have to print some text on a drawn sheet and I would like to have a preview on the screen.
I am trying to make a calendar using publisher 2019. I am using a friends computer which was very nice of him except he does not know how to use publisher and does not know where instructions are. What I am trying to do with publisher 2019 is turn the upside down pages right side up for working on them. With my old program all I had to do was “control/alternate/arrow” and it would turn the page right side up so I could edit it. Can you give me instructions how to do this in publisher 2019? I have accidentally pushed some kind of transformation key because my photos and text blocks don't come in straight. What is causing that? When I try to adjust them it's very difficult
the Navigation Pane or “Pages” section on the left. The thumbnail (tiny picture) of each page will appear in the Pages in PREVIEW PANE. I cannot get the TOTAL 100% preview thumbnail. The right side is NOT SHOWING in the thumbnail. I have pushed the arrow wide and narrow, but the entire picture is still chopped off on the right of Preview, in Normal & 2 page..chopped off on right side. help
In Word, click on the picture you want to crop. Click Format at the top middle of the Window on the Menu Bar. The word Crop will appear at the top right side on the Menu bar. Click the down-arrow and select Crop. The same should work for Publisher.
Viktor Jonas..... indeed there is much overlap in functionality, however the big difference is that Word is text oriented and Publisher is layout oriented. It is more difficult with Word to get to a very precise layout. To position text, images, lines, precisely on the page. When one does try this with Word, Word Will eventually take over and position pictures or text in its own way. So, if it is about the text, you select Word, and is it about the layout you go for Publisher. Or with Word you type text and look at the looks a bit later. With Publisher you look at the layout and position text blocks, pages, any components on a page first. A new page may have a different layout or one copied for another page... first... and then you file these blocks with texts and images etc.

When I turn on borderless printing in Microsoft Publisher it shifts the first page over 1/4 page.
Can someone please tell me how to find the crop tool in publisher and word in office 365.
