Ran into Chris behind stage at a Brotherhood show in Dillon Lake Co. Said hi, he stopped and chatted with me for a minute. Told him I rocked out to his music a lot in 90s, he was super chill. He could probably tell I was fired up that he stopped and acknowledged me.
I'm glad you two are working things out. It's a beautiful thing. Time is precious........I am hoping I see you here in North Carolina and that COVID does not block your concert. Hugs and Prayers to you all.
When the Crowes came out, I was in my early 20s. Did not listen to the popular music of time. I was a James Brown, Muddy Waters, Bo Diddley, SRV, Stones, Clash, and Mojo Nixon guy. The Crowes were exactly in my lane. Southern Harmony is still one of my favorite albums, I listen to it for weeks on end.
Saw the first Shake your Money Maker Tour and just saw the reunion tour Last night in St. Louis. Loved them 31 years ago and love them now. I wanted to see them but never got the chance mainly because they broke up. Saw Rich Solo some were in the middle. He wrote some good songs he just needed his brother singing them.
@@mrsx7944 It was a good show in St. Louis The first time I saw them on 1st Shake your money maker it was a small venue that was packed and had lots of energy.
Always loved the Crowes, I learnt to play guitar in the early 90’s to their songs. I’m happy to see the brothers together, whether or not Steve is there... it’s still the black crowes. People make mistakes, and i bet Chris has gone through a lot losing his dear friend to suicide last summer. I’m happy him and Rich are talking again
Love them both , truly living legends . I listened to Steve Gormans audiibook and loved it but really hated how much he despised Chris and Rich, but at the same time I can understand , being in a band is incredibly tough . It's amazing any band can stay together as long as they did
It's a good thing that they buried the hatchet...but the sad part is they were apart for so long...I'm 60 years old now...and the one thing I do know for sure is that at the end of the day all you have is family...and that is really the only thing that counts and that will last forever....🎸🎸🎸
They are my Beatles , my Stones . But they were always more than the brothers . Steve Gorman is such a vital part of the equation. Over the years , Ed Harsch (rip) , Marc Ford where vital to some their best records , Southern Harmony , Amorica . I love Warpaint and Before the Frost . They need to do this right and make a few phone calls .. get Johnny Colt back .
Prolific, Amorica was a fantastic follow-up CD to Shake Your Money Maker or was it Southern Harmony. Any way you slice it. Every song on every album is solid. Their live shows are amazing. Nothing gets lost in the translation live. I hope they tour with the entire original band intact. it's funny once you say something you can never take it back. The person on the receiving end will probably never forget and you will have to live with it. It's not like you can just catch the hurt and bring it back. Fingers crossed.
I saw him with his solo band and he looked bored onstage! The smoke machine also totally covered the drummer so you couldn't even see him for the whole show... Totally Spinal Tap. The guitar riffs were solid, no doubt, great sound, but he's not a frontman...
When asked why they want this to work, the FANS, was never stated. That is sad. There is a reason you don't see M. Ford or S. Gorman which is also very, very sad.
Right there with you..money motivated reunion that's all it is...insulting to call it 'The Black Crowes'..load of BS. Tour wont do as well as they think either.

One of the best rock bands of my generation. I still listen....often and loud.

Did you get to see them?
@@rustynales6610 Nope. I chose to get the refund b/c of all the uncertainty with venues, etc. Hopefully I can catch them at a later date.
This was honest. I'll take it, cause right now these two are the only performing artists doing an art *I LIKE*
How could we ever forget about a band with a soul that appealed to so many?
..Oh, "CBS-Mornings," perhaps.
Truly love these guys
Mom and dad Robinson must be proud 😊

I loved Chris's voice from the very beginning
This should be called "The Robinson Brothers".
I hear you when it's a shame. I think the rest of the band is quite literally scared to be around such toxicity.
I'm 61, and they are my favorite rock band.
Miss Steve G. Perfect drummer for cows, unreplacable
Been singing their song "She talks to Angels" tonight
The Crowes without Gorman is like The Pumpkins without Chamberlain. Drummers matter.
Or Led Zeppelin. 💔
Gorman is talented but he's not a necessary component. Chris's voice and Rich playing is what makes the BCs.
Saw them last night and there was a difference but they still sounded great. 💀🔥

Great band! One of my favorite bands of all time. ✅🎵
I'd love to see Marc Ford tour with them again.
Won't happen since, according to Steve Gorman, Chris demands 75% of proceeds, including 100% from those without the last name Robinson.
Love the Black Crowes. But, they where hottest when Mark Ford and Steve was with them.
yeah and Johnny Colt too
Word
I'm sure they have their rea$on$.

The Crowes has 16 members over the years. As Gorman said: anyone that has ever worked with the Robinsons wants nothing to do with them.
Chris looks like he's 70 years old.....

Definitely
The most rock and roll rock and roll band in the world.
Used to be.
Now the most corporate rock and roll band
👍🏼👍🏼gormans 📕 book. Hard to handle.
Chris wanted 75% of the income, Rich would get 25%, the original band was ditched for hired backup players, but it’s all about the music man.
Why would chris get 75%?
@@smkxodnwbwkdns8369 exactly.
@@smkxodnwbwkdns8369 hes the songwriter. but yea i agree, that's an insulting ratio. he should've done 60/40.
I can see why Rich doesn't talk, Chris cuts him off constantly

Cash those checks, boys. Cash those checks from Live Nation. haha
Rich looks bored with these repetitive interviews
He has always looked bored in interviews.

Chris looks like Paul McCartney.
He does
Sure it's for the money but I hope as brothers they've worked things out.
They don't need the $
@@seniorreselleroK..lol They got back together because they missed each other.😂
Life is short fellows, work it out.
♥️
God....journalism has gotten so weak. After "Southern Harmony" alot of bad stuff happened that should be itemized here. You glossed over it. Weak
It is very clear they still do not like each other.
They didn't need to get rid of their drummer because of greed -
Those dudes got bad karma -

Not many real bands make music for anyone but themselves. If fans dig it,all the better. Not necessarily their biggest concern.
Seriously? Any musician who claims they do it for their fans is likely lying.
The brothers ego couldn’t stand that Gorman’s book was the final word and the Crowes were over. And they needed more ca$h.
😘✌💜
They sure wasted a lot of time and could have had much more success. Rich doesn't look quite as enthused as Chris. Hope it works this time.
Rich never looks as enthused as Chris to be fair. lol.
"In harmony"?
I wonder how Kate Hudson ever put up with that
She has 3 kids by 3 different guys and is raising her daughter to be "genderless."

Your loss. Dallas and Washington state were phenomenal shows. No doubt I miss Edie but the rest wrote their stories.
