Actually this show is not. Queen has producers and audio engineers pitch correct Wembley the Hungarian show And rock Montreal but not this one

this is how heaven sounds like.
When Freddie gets up from the piano and gets his mic, you can hear what the chorus sounds like for a couple of seconds with just Roger and Brian....then Freddie kills it and leads the band. There are no overdubs here (for all of you overdub conspiracy theorists). This is how good they were back then. I was fortunate to see Queen live four times during the 70s and 80s, two of which were close to this era. Believe me, they were incredible live.

@alexln4 Dude, they were awesome. I've seen countless bands over my many decades as a rock & roller and I can tell you, nobody compared to the Queen of the 1970s - NOBODY.

Believe me when I say, I love Queen, and I really do think they are as good as you say, but we gotta get in touch with reality that Queen Productions were really blowing this up in proportions. They didn't treat this concert like a Live Release, they treated it like a studio album, fixing every tiny minor detail/mistake that shoudl'nt have been fixed, editing everything that makes this concert LIVE was just ridiculous, because the non-overdubbed recording is just as good.
Im pretty sure their is some pitch correction tho

Not good as the version in Wembley 86...that was absolutly incredible and powerful!!!!
There is something strangely suspicious about the background vocals in this song when compared to other queen concerts around this time. Sounds like at least 3 Freddies and about 6 Rogers during the chorus, and before you yell at me, check out Hammersmith Odeon a year later. Sounds WAY less fishy than this. Queen' still amazing... but I''m not crazy, there's something up with the background vocals being doubled, perhaps even tripled, here.

behind the scenes of every concert there's an engineer behind a mixer board to help out during chorus's and more to make the sound better, wider, etc... even your local church has this lol. nothing to worry about. not all of this makes it to the final mix which is what you hear in your headphones. so, some live performances you'll hear it back in recordings & some you won't. this is basically mainly just for the live performance unless they are also recording for a "live album" or something similar.

@@dillerson6681 also, the 2014 version is actually closer to the live version than the vhs. Almost all of the vhs was overdubbed in the studio while the pitch correction actually removed all overdubbs and only fixed some vocal mistakes.
