I agree. I also own this plane for some years already and it's rock stable without any problems at all after I removed the problematic wingplugs. For grass ops the gear and wheels are the best you can get imo. Greetings from Belgium 🍻
I really appreciate your honesty about the minor issues with this model. Especially the landing gear. It's so detailed and beautiful. Then, they slap rock hard shopping cart wheels on it. Another YT reviewer had a pretty annoying nose gear collar issue with his. It seemed like a let down- considering how much money we suckers are going to plunk down on a big bird like this. And the stickers... ugh. At least you can choose to apply them, or not. Great review. Beautiful warbird. Awesome camera footage, Liz! Love the additional commentary, too 😊 👍
Great review on a stellar warbird, thank you! With counter-rotating props watch out that the starboard side spinner is on securely. The motor shaft should’ve been reverse threaded on that side. It’s not. I remove my props for transport so it’s always in the back of my mind the possibility of it coming loose. It hasn’t so far. But goodness can this plane present, stunningly so,flown scale. Love it!
Nice review! FMS F7F Tigercat is by far the best warbird one can fly, I prefer using the pavement at our fly field for takeoff's and the smooth grassy area along side the runway for landing, which is best in my opinion on all FMS 1700mm warbirds. this seam to work best for those hard plastic wheels
Amazing plane , great honest video ❤. Thanks John . This is at the top of my war bird list , it different and cool 😎. My piggy bank will have to fatten up a bit , but will worth the wait .
I bought one of these some time back the box is still sealed. I also have 1700 Corsair i have opened the box but not assembled it yet i have the big eflite t28 which i have flown a few times she is lovely if the tigercat flies as well as her it will be good. I. am addicted to large models my list goes on but i won't say any more.
Love love love this plane. I had the Freewing Tigercat and bought the FMS Tigercat and hands down the FMS outperforms the FW Tigercat. I have two now. My only complaint were the water slide decals. They are pretty much trash. I ordered Callie Graphics, perfect. Careful with the rudder. I know how you like to fly, that rudder is huge and has ALOT of authority. Also, it's the slight dihedral in the wings that you can do what you can do with it. There are some videos out there of the full scale Tigercat and FMS got it really close to the scale one. Now it will drop a wing really nasty if you are banking it beyond 75 to 80 degrees and giving full rudder (120%). I found that out and thankfully i had it high enough and recovered easily.
Awesome plane ive always wanted one but ran out of room. Damn. I would like for you to include the build process on your reviews. Some are not fun to put together as you know. Thanks again. Great filming and review.
Pretty sure it actually does have a UBEC if memory serves. The issue is probably just the sequencer getting caught up on itself if it's not allowed to finish an entire cycle.

We never ran into any issues with the wing plugs, surprisingly.
Such a fun plane! It is absolutely a fantastic touch 'n go machine!!

👍
Beautiful plane. Saw a full scale fly at an airshow. Amazing sound. Nice one Jon!
Haven't seen one flying in full scale yet - but if it's anything like this monster, it should be awesome to see!
That is a sweet plane, thanks my Man.

Those struts look terrific.
I love the Tigercat and your videos are great. I just need to save my pennies to afford one! 😁

Definitely use one of the discount codes if you can - it'll help knock at least some of the cost off the plane!

I love the review😄😄
So good

Builds aren't something we can cover - but for that sorta thing you can visit Brian Phillips. He's got the patience, time, and camera crew for that!
Doooood! Awesome video! I always enjoy your content! BUT! You need to buy some Carbon Z Cub floats and put them on the Draco!!!!!!
Draco was retired after its last vid. It died for the review.
Did FMS bring this back? Last I knew, it had been discontinued. I hope they did or are going to.
As always, great review!
Thanks
Shouldn't be discontinued!
I absolutely love mine. It was the 3rd plane i got amongst the many i have now, only I chose the freewing
Most if not all the planes from flightline at motion at wheel nice foam wheels that don't sound bad, imo at least.
Interesting!
How do the SMC packs compare to the Spektrum Smart batteries?
They're more powerful and less expensive. They don't feature auto-discharge, auto-balance, or auto-charge though.
@@TwoBrosRC Thanks! Are you running regular SMC lipos or high voltage batteries?
@@Truthstillmatters2 All of this flying was HV batteries, 4400 class.
beutiful
Add a UBEC and separate battery pack for lights and gear…?
Pretty sure it actually does have a UBEC if memory serves. The issue is probably just the sequencer getting caught up on itself if it's not allowed to finish an entire cycle.
@@TwoBrosRC Freewing sequencers need improvement?
FMS in this case, and sometimes yeah.
"Best Warbird we've ever flown". You boys have a lot more models to fly then!!
70+ airplanes and counting.
I just ordered the FMS tigercat with your discount code, thanks. I have the flightline F4U corsair and like it better than the FMS corsair
Hope you enjoy it!
3:05 much of the wing isn't stalled due to the prop blast...
Not at the throttle setting being used. That's all aerodynamics, not thrust overpowering it.
酷,
Foamy !
Come on guys build a Ziroli or equivalent for a true example of war bird flying.
Find something better to complain about. Nobody cares that you irrationally hate foam and love woodies.
