After almost two years development, numerous tests and improvements, we have reproduced the classical highly anticipated F7F! FMS 1700mm Tiger Cat is coming!
The FMS 1700mm Tiger Cat pools the best structural features from FMS’ classic works. It adopts the popular quick and easy assembly and disassembly structure. Screws can do all assembly and disassembly work. In addition, with the latest multi-connect technology, FMS has streamlined the wing system, eliminating the wiring problems, and making it easier to install and dismantle in a short time. The well-designed battery compartment makes full use of airframe space, allowing for higher-storage batteries and more flying choices.
FMS’ warbirds are always attractive, no matter from the perspective of scaled appearance, or from excellent performance. This also applies to the Tiger Cat.
The Tiger Cat features the latest locked-rotor mode E-retract system with overcurrent protection, the refined scaled CNC-processed metal landing gear set (Certainly the most notable feature is that this is the most accurately scaled landing gear set we have ever created) for resisting those not-too-perfect landings, a 62mm diameter front wheel and 84mm diameter rear wheels for taking off and landing on both paved and grass surfaces. The power system utilizes twin 4250-KV440 outrunner motors, twin 60A ESC (with 10A UBEC), providing surging power for scaled aerial combat maneuvers when coupled with a 6S 5000mAh 45C battery.
The Tiger Cat has the most scaled appearance, with scaled plastic parts throughout the body, e.g. landing gear door, cowl, artificial engine, and machine guns... Couple that with the detailed all-around rivets, panel lines, pilot figure, high bright LED lamps, a CNC-processed shock-absorbed metal landing gear set, the Tiger Cat is reproduced flawlessly. Moreover, 4 set decals in the package (blue color scheme only) allow you to make your own Tiger Cat and stand out in your airfield
It is more than an RC model. It is one for the collectors. Go get the FMS 1700MM “Tiger Cat” to experience its magnificence.

1.Powerful twin KV440 motors with twin Predator 60A ESC (with 10A UBEC)

THANKS JOHN FOR SHARING ONE OF MY FAVOURITE RC PLANES I OWN. SHE'S AMAZING 🇬🇧🇺🇲🕊️✌🏼🤩
That's an absolute belter John, can't wait for the maiden.
I flew mine with a 6s 6000mah and flew just fine and landed like a pussycat. Your going to love it.
This is my next plane. I love the tiger cat. Such a cool plane. I've always wanted it. Can't wait to see you flying this one. 😍 😊
BAD 😺 KITTY. NICE. YUP. I GOTTA HAVE IT. THANKS JOHN ✌️
DON'T CRY KENNY ✌🏼🤩
NICE BUILD JOHN !!
Such a sweet plane! Impressive!
Awesome build John.👍👍
Really appreciate this very well done video. It was very helpful. Thank you!
You're very welcome!
Nice Plane John !!! Great build video brother 👍🏻✌🏻🖖🏻
I told everyone on Kenny’s show last night about your discount code w/FMS👍🏻
a beauty !!! nice 😎👍👍
Great review John 👍. Always wanted this one but sadly it’s $1150 over here ☹️
John noticed in my instructions theres ment to be 2 carbon spars for the rear stab. I only got one like yourself
Hmm, I dont remember it saying two, one works great.
Agree, manual shows 2, 11/2023 I received only 1 and the stabs have only one hole, so evidently all that is required now.
Best foamy because it does not fly like one!
Going to find out tonight. Foamy hater. Haha! 😂
@@JohnVHRC like mine, yeah, foamy hater mostly…😂
Unfortunately the rivets aren't even close to scale accurate but that's ok. You can't expect to take a plane to Scale Nats without putting in some serious work anyway.
The full scale used flush rivets in any aerodynamically critical areas, the forward fuse and wings mainly. The cowlings and access panels used your typical cam locks and the aft fuselage and tail have traditional button head rivets.
Aside from the lack of cockpit detail I'm more than happy with the appearance out of the box. Mine got decals from Callie Graphics(Bad Kitty) and a few coats of gloss poly finish and she looks and flies beautifully, raised rivets and all. Definitely in my top 3 foamies, in fact it might be tied for first place with the new 80mm Freewing Cougar. I can't even tell you how many aircraft I currently own, after 3 decades of building and buying planes and helis... I stopped counting years ago lol. I still much prefer traditional wood but foam has come a long way.
There is an alternate source for additional decals , Callie Graphics...
Nice review. Flaps are on either side of the nacelle...........
looks great but the wingspar looks so short. and it seems to be quite a chore to put together at the airfield every time 😕
Spare is as designed, yes, if you had to assemble it every time you flew it, it wouldnt be fun. Maybe someday it will get upgraded with removable wing tips out side of the engines! I would buy another if they did.
@@JohnVHRC yeah, a 1.7m plane wouldn't fit into my car, around 1.4m is max i can fit completely assembled. i hope there'll be a v3 sometime with either different connectors so you don't have to plug in the esc in the rx every time or those removable wingtips. it looks so gorgeous but for someone with not much room for storage and transport it doesn't seem ideal
Wouldn't it be easier to put the decals on before the plane is put together?
I prefer its sitting on its feet and together.
@@JohnVHRC thanks for responding!
Good review John I want one that $600 is a lot of money my limits $400 on A foam airplane
Missing out then. Plenty of fantastic foam planes in the £600 price range.
