- Here is a How To: on doing decals. I will probably do a few different ones like this as each subject has its own challenges. This one is using setting solution with aftermarket decals. This particular build is a GT40 Roadster called Big Ed.

Not only do you build some of the nicest models I have seen. Your videos inspire me to keep working on my kits and help me out of slumps. These how to videos are great and I hope to see more. Thanks and keep up the great content and work. 🙏.
Wow, thanks!
Very nice tutorial on decals. I totally agree, you must be patient when working with decals. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
Great tutorial, I need to create a catalog of all the tutorials people do.
I think you can save them to a playlist of your own. I have these in a playlist also on my channel.
I've had the offside decals move too, so I do one side, let them dry then do the other side. 👍
Some of us have to learn the hard way!
Been watching. One of my Fav cars. Great how to vid Thank You for making it for us
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for all your tutorials you've been doing really informative. Was wondering if you'd show us how to pin a mirror on the side of a car after its finished?
I did one on pinning mirrors. Best to do before paint though. You could do after painting but if you drill through or crack it. You will have to repair and repaint. ua-cam.com/video/BNr78hzlD2k/v-deo.htmlsi=-10iU7NzenWquffB
Great trick with the quarter! Thanks for the tutorial👍
Glad you liked it! Thanks!
Nice tutorial decals are my major nemisis. Thank you
Thanks. They can be a pain sometimes.
Great tutorial! Nice trick with the strip. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
Nice work Raoul! 😎👍
Thanks 👍
Appreciate you spending the time to put this together. Most informative. You are pretty liberal with the setting solution compared to others I've seen, but your results speak for themselves. Well done. Are you ever tempted to run your knife down the door jams to make a clean break where the doors would open ? Seems that would be necessary if you want to add some panel liner to the door jams. Thanks again. Always enjoy your videos.
Thank you. I have done that with the exacto knife. It works pretty good but sometimes I just like it sunk in and uncut. When it comes to the setting solution about. I should have mentioned that I do gauge it on how much the decal wrinkles on the first dose. If it wrinkles a lot and fast, I use a small amount. These ones took a lot for it to mildly wrinkle so I was not worried about using too much.
Yet again another awesome video!
Thanks again!
Good stuff Raul…
Thank you!
Do you use straight water?
I use 1/2 drop of dish soap in a pint of water.
Yes. I use water only for decals.
Shouldn’t you put the lower stripe on first?
You could if you wanted to.
Sorry about my previous comment.😢 Should have watched the entire video. I’m bad.😊
Now you know why I did it that way.
