I left this game two days ago because of the boring endgame. It makes you feel like an uber eats delivery, carrying all day the eight coins from spots to the cities.
My opinion honestly about the endgame coin collecting. They should just keep that strictly PvP like the wager. If you’re not doing wager PvP you should just be able to collect them all from the menu. 100% would make that better.
Fully agree with you, Benji. The game would benefit by dragging out the leveling longer and making the better ships and weapons harder to grind. I played casually in the open beta and the first week and was already maxed out. I don't care much for the Helm grind at endgame, and there's nothing to explore. S&B has made me realize that I'd love to play a fully fleshed out pirate MMO though.
I hope the devs up the rewards (add helm resources as reward) and with certain pvp events disable fast travel when you start participating. Lets see what the devs can do now the game is live and there getting more feedback. I played the Division 1 and 2 for a long time and this game had changed a lot over time.
can you name a game that whas great at launch? Game releases for the last 4/5 years are so big and need to carter to a wide spectrum of players (playing 16 hours a day or playing 30min a day) that is take time to make it good because playtesters are just finding bugs and not testing gameplay if its fun.
Also discord is great for finding other solo players to teamup for certain events. I just hope the devs starts making changes to pve, pvp, etc. At least this game has launched and not died in dev hell.
Season 1 is very lackluster, unfortunately. The Dev team are catching hell, already. No one can loot water from the barrels anymore. People getting kicked, frequent game crashes, network issues like "can't matchmake," etc. The game is on life-support currently and they need to fix it soon.
my biggest cork with the game at the end game is your capped at rank 11 when you get gear that could take you to level 12 or 13 but you only go to 11 and there is level 15 forts with ships that will near one tap you if you don't brace right and you have all the best weapons in the game like and there's damage caps on the AI ships, ships you should one shot with any weapons or one volley you don't that's what gets me

Been using your vids as guides and got to end game, and I’m at the point I’m just collecting coins. Lol I farmed the ghost ship, do the daily quest for the sea monster, and that’s it. Their future content looks nice tho. Not to mention, barely anyone does the coop aspect at least the current legendary activities.
Someone woke up in a mood lol. Anyway, I enjoy the game for what it is. Not for what it should have been. It's the perfect game to casually play, nothing matter, nothing must be done, it's all optional and I can just sail and do whatever I want. When I eventually reach the point I collected everything, I'll just uninstall and play something else. 10/10 game.

I'm in end game without the top gear and don't even want to grind to get the top gear. I don't see a point to any of it. And season 1 has no appeal to me right now. It's to bad since i got the deluxe version of the game since i had a bunch of fun in the beta. I was hoping this would be my next Division 2 for which i have almost 3000 hours invested and still play with friends almost every day. Sadly i will be done with this game before i even reach 100 hours.

What do you mean a paywall? You can't pay real money for weapons unless you mean from other players. It's soverigns and pieces of eight are the only ways to get the juicy end game stuff. So yeah, 20 hours to grind out one purple bombard cannon till you've got a massive empire of coin farms which is a whole week of investing.

Yep, your review is deadly accurate and I am not sure how the devs are going to turn around\improve the end game. There wasn't a single point I could disagree with - unfortunately. Once they decided on this fast track with infamy, too quick to Kingpin, I am level 21, then they lost sight of the fun to be had with linked main missions and linked side quests, that are way too few and over in too short a time. Then on top of that, they have locked us into an endless merry go round of visiting the manufactories to collect the pices of eight. But what now, and in the coming seasons, do I spend it on to upgrade or modify my weapons, like in Division 2 say ? I already have the weapons I need and want. Nothing is in the game for that. Hopefully they will come up with something but if I make it over the next 86 days and the season reset, with having to start all the manufactories again ( I think it's so ) It will be a miracle. Which, is what the devs need for this game.
Helldivers 2 proven that even repetitive gameplay can be fun, unless you make pirate ship sailing combat into fing FPS, without any depth. Just spam repair, stamina food and pew pew pew 360 degree of your ship. Wow. How much you can get lost when forgetting why you started in the first place (naval combat from Black Flag)
The freakin issue is the constant 8 man zergs teaming and guarding people with not even being in PVP mode and just ramming and blocking canals during wegers
I like the game but this game has by far the worst mapping and directions for any game I have ever played. Just trying to do a smugglers contract and it doesn't even say or show where to go, there is no highlighted icon on the map among the 100 other icons.

I have played the game at the beta, then at release... but the progression is always messed up! I ma not really motivated to go for deep invesment in it when there are so many other good options for PvP and single player, I still have the hopes high Ubisoft will fix it as they have done with other titles... besides this is a AAAAx10 game :3

I've heard they are thinking of having PvP and PvE servers but honestly what they need is solo only servers
