OUCH! I have my headphones on as he [backup beeper] passed by ya on the second destination. Yep, I miss it. I was one of the first few who qualified to drive the double busses.
I am a line haul driver for Estes. I was a P&D driver initially for 21 years then switched to line haul. Been doing this for 20 years now and am about to retire in a few months. I like your videos and of course can understand what you are doing and saying either for P&D or linehaul.
I definitely enjoy both maybe LH a little more but I’m always here to help my terminal anytime they need me. Thank you for all your years of service

Hey Chuck. Been watching your videos a lot. One question. How do you know what docks to pull into or do you have to get out and ask? I figure you don’t go to the same places all the time
When I go somewhere for the first time I have to get out and ask but after that every time you go back you know what to do.

Good thing about your job is you don't have appointments and you don't have to sit and wait..just saying. Unless I'm wrong.
We have a few appointment customers but for the most part we are not waiting around. In the LTL world time is money unlike OTR where your time means nothing to shippers/receivers and companies
Kenworth makes some of the finest trucks on the road today. This I know from driving one all over the United States. I won't say what I think of Volvo trucks.

I did 20 years peddling for the big E. You're giving me flashbacks. Lol. We really used to have a good time out there, but all the "babysitting" electronics and penny pinching attitudes made it not so fun anymore. You really have to love the residential deliveries. Kayaks, zero turn mowers, patio furniture... Hardly anyone would help either. They always had a bad back, so I would show them the nice scar on my back.

Props for making the reverse look so easy. Takes you 2 mins and no damage, would take me probably 4 hrs with plenty of mayhem but you do this all day.
Can’t do much with 14k lbs on a pallet jack!

I'm a city driver (that's what we call p&d) for FedEx Freight in PA. Been doing it 7 years now. My pallet jack has had a rough life as well. Its been ran over, dropped off docks, and rolled around in my trailer. They just recently "splurged" and got us an electric pallet jack. They got us ONE and there's 11 of us. We let the older guys take it most days. If us younger guys have something we could really use it for we'll take it. Anyways, I enjoy your videos. I like seeing how other guys do things differently.
From what your describing about the clutch pedal ,if there's no free play then the clutch needs to be adjusted, should be at least 2" of free play on the pedal. If you keep driving it like that you can possibly burn out the clutch. If it's a auto adjust , then will need a new clutch soon , unless auto adjust is stuck and not adjusting correctly. I however do not drive a semitruck I am assigned a Volvo FH 500 with 7.2 meter cargo hold with dolly and a 13.4 meter trailer both with doors for side loading on the left side

Great video as always Chuck. When you pulled up to that dock at the bus place and i saw that peterbilt i wondered if it was a friends old truck, when you backed up next to it and saw it was the same company Larry williams Trucking. I think it was my friends old truck. He is retired now.

I’ve noticed from a lot of videos even before you went to linehaul that around Tulsa or the areas you’ve covered in them that there is a lot industrial areas that are more semi friendly to allow for driving through or back in easier
In most cases they are truck friendly, there are older parts of town where it’s not so much.
