- How to paint a model car body can be difficult. The first and most important step is to make sure you prepare the car body properly. I will show you how to prime a car body properly in this video. Scale models. моделизм
Thank you for a great video. Taking the time to prepare my model bodies the correct way before painting may be the biggest thing to take my model builds to the next level.
A very helpful video, this is exactly what I've been looking for! A nice paintjob begins with mastering the basics.
No worries mate
I prefer you do talk, many videos have no narration at all. I'd rather hear you talk than listen to bad music
I use 1000 grit sandpaper. Mild dish detergent and water with a toothbrush and then paint. Nothing more..
Great video, thank you. Very good idea with the box for drying
Thanks mate. Appreciate it.
Just come across your video thanks for sharing!!!!
Your welcome mate
The washing also removes any oily residue from the parts which are from your hands while handling
Nice tutorial. Thanks for sharing.
No worries mate
Good instructions 👍
Thanks mate.
Great tutorial video brother
Thanks as always mate.

@@nismojukerich2994 I know Okay!!! I don't. okay!
Can you tell me which sanding stick are you using to sand off the mold lines?
Im using ultimate modelling products sanders the multipack. The white sanding stick is a 100/180 grit. The grey one is 220 grit.
Why do you use a marker before sanding your models
Good question. When the marker is all gone after sanding this tells me that the mold line has been sanded down completely. Hope that makes sense
Ok thank you
Thanks for the tips! I’m new at this. How do you keep the sanding lines from showing up in the paint? Does the primer fill them in?
Most of the time it does.
Incomplete answer to your valid question. Polish out the sanding lines with progressively finer grit sanding. Leave the entire body very slightly scuffed.
OK!
What would be the result if I just skip the priming? I sort of short on budget here.
If you use enamel paint, it will work but even then paint will tend to come off the corners and edges.
@@ScaleModellingVideos hey, thanks for the reply, i decide to bought primer too, but I can't afford to buy the top coat. Can I just use some industrial varnish?
@@hovinke Hmmm, It depends. I would say dont use varnish at all, the results will be very inconsistent. Just paint it, and do not top coat it, till you have money for a good gloss coat.
@@ScaleModellingVideos thanks! I'll follow your advice
@@ScaleModellingVideos So you don't need primer if you are using enamel paints?
My Tusk 2 Abrams delivery arrived
How's my box review video ?
Sorry , I won't open the boxes yet until I build them
Thats great, have fun building it
I cant see it yet. Ill try again later today.
@@Karsoncommander I saw it, maybe get a better angle and make the video a bit longer. I would use something to hold my phone while I open the box.
I hear an aussie accent?
