Isn't it so cool to have folks around ready for unprecedented situations. Part of a van life though. You know have friends which is kind of securing and comforting.
I have never understood the compulsion to bring vehicles onto a beach. But if I were there I would probably feel the same urge. I also love seeing folks get un-stuck! Have Fun!
Some relatives of mine had a small resort up the coast, and we saw MANY a vehicle beat the driver to the claim and slowly take it down. Once the water's high enough to sift the sand out from under your tires, might as well just say 'good bye'...
A super exciting day all the way around .... Frank looked like he was in dog heaven ... lots of friends for humans and the animals .... what more could ya want? Getting stuck ... hey, it happens ... kind of makes life interesting ... one of those .. "Remember that time?" moments. Thanks for sharing guys.
What an adventure. Love watching all your video's. What I wouldn't give to be young again and be able to have a Van Life experience. You both are so amazing.
I love your videos and am thinking of doing a promaster myself. Ido a lot of beach driving and beach camping. I think you need to air down a lot more. Into the single numbers is common to get your tires to bulge a little more. A little more bulge is all you need. We have huge class a s that air down to 10 psi and are able to do it. They are much heavier and less maneuverable. People think the tires will come off if you go down to far. Not the case. Just keep going down till you no longer get stuck. It's a learning experience. Once you see what pressure to run at them it is a lot easier. The van should continue to move forward when you take your foot off the pedal while driving on the sand. If it instantly gets stuck then you need to go lower psi in your tires. The beach I go to has a mandatory 18 psi maximum. You get a ticket if your above that. Most 2 wheel drive vehicles go less than that. I would love to know what the psi was in your tires when you got stuck. I hope you don't give up on beach driving. It is a lot of fun and gets you out to some great boondocking spots. Good luck
What we may usually do to get a car's tires unstuck is to place a hard object, like an appropriately sized rock, up against the tires for them to grip onto and step over (rocks should be placed in the direction that the car needs to move, not behind because it might be useless or they could be shot back by the turning wheel and hit somebody/thing) works quite well
I've had success doing this in the past but this was a special situation where we needed to be towed out of the soft sand haha. Our van was just too heavy for the beach
Uggg, getting stuck stinks for sure. We have 26 miles of beach here in St. Augustine, Florida ( look it up kids, history galore and gorgeous) You can drive on most of the beaches here and I’ve been stuck more times than I can count. Sucks for sure. Have fun and be safe:)
Just found this video. I live on the Outer Banks and drive on the beach all the time. Airing down is essential. You create a bigger footprint so you can ride on top of the sand. 4WD at least here on the barrier islands is also essential.
So fun watching the say unfold all over again from your perspective! What a blast it's been hanging with you two and our favourite furry friend Frank XX
well your NOT from the PNW. if you were .it wouldn't stop you. from running.hiking, walking on the beach. and your van is heavy for the sand it's still really wet. with the sand being dark.still has lots of water in it!! very pretty beach. ... I love the beach. oh yes once the tide comes in .it's only mins... That is nice that y'all made new friends and everyone pitched in to help you with the van and dinner. I have only seen one other video of yours. Hazel from Seattle
We use to watch and laugh at people who would do this just to watch their vehicles go under. You were very lucky. Sometimes people won't help you, that is just classless, but you had friends there so I probable would have taken the chance too.
Im so in love with both of you... Every Video thus far has had a moment of prime laughter, feeling of being on your Adventures... Top 5 of my Fav video Editing.. LOVe Love,,, Thank you.
Fun video! I can tell you're not from Oregon because in Oregon if you let a little rain stop you then 1/2 the year you'd never do anything.😂 You've discovered perhaps the best section of the Oregon coast - from where you were at in Pacific City north to Cape Meares is wonderful and definitely the road less traveled. I hope you enjoy your time in my fair state!
Trent & Allie if you ever want to get some ideas about places to visit in Oregon, hmu. Sometimes I feel like an unofficial travel guide to my friends because my wife and I have been been all over the state. Safe and fun travels to you both!!
You know you could patent that and have a steady source of income? You could design them to lay back if they touch the tire well then open back up ounce the scoops scoop up some sand or dirt so you won't damage the tire well. 😊😉
Trent would u be so kind as to help me! We are building out our 2018 promaster. My question is how did u instulate the hole where the van lights are in the back? How did u finish off that same area in the back! I tried looking in your videos. I only see a black.
we used black auto carpet and spray adhesive. The cavity where you access the lights needs to be open in order to access the lights to change them in the future. Don't worry too much about insulating those cavities.
Come on guys, a little rain? I thought brave frontiersfolk like yourselves just bit the bullet and launched into the day. I think you're lucky the quicksand didn't get you guys. Maybe time to get some on board air fitted? And don't let the small matter of incoming tide stress you out. Remember the two rules - 1. Don't sweat the small stuff. -2. It's all small stuff. Stay safe guys and keep up the good work.
Wow that's scary I just built out my ProMaster thinking here in New York front wheel drive goes through anything. Snow ice, muddy roads. but seeing your ProMaster getting stuck that easy in the sand makes me wonder. It's usually the sprinters and rear wheel drive that gets stuck very easy just UA-cam it and you'll see. Did Eamon and bec even get stuck a little bit in their Sprinter. Anyways fun video guys thanks
I don't think Eamon & Bec get stuck with their Sprinter. And on the sand, rear wheel drive are better than front wheel drive, because of the weight repartition. With front whell drive, it's like digging a "hole" in front of you and driving into it. With rear wheel drive, you constantly "push" the sand and as all the weight is allready in the front of the rear wheel, you can drive more easily. On the other hand, on the icy roads, front wheel drive are better. But, in each case, you have to get your tire pressure really low like 10 to 14 Psi, and adopt a smooth driving at every start ;)
Etienne Bimier Yeah I'm used to snow and ice and slippery slopes. Which is where I'll be some of the time but yeah I better get some chains or definitely lower the air pressure if I want to play in the sand. Then again maybe four wheel drive van life not too expensive can't afford it.. Ha
Andys Van Adventure Yeah, sadly, here in France, we can't drive so much on the beach. I hope some day, when my conversion will be over, I can bring my Sprinter into USA/CANADA and have an awesome travel!
Yeah they got stuck too we had to dig them out but they don't weight 9,000 lbs like we do. it's not the vehicle that got us stuck it's the weight and length
Trent & Allie Wow, this is heavy ;) In France, we are only allowed to 7700 lbs... France vehicles laws are very strict, I have to pass homologation after having converting my sprinter van. Anyway, keep doing what you do, bye ✌️
Sorry off topic, have you guys done or will you do a video on how you went about buying the van initially. What made you decide sprinter and pro master.... thanks
I seem to recall that was covered in the early videos of the first van, which was also a Promaster. Just smaller and with fewer amenities, so they traded up in size but stayed with the Promaster. The Promaster does have some advantages, like a perfectly flat floor and front-wheel drive, so there is a lot less van hardware underneath it as well (no drive shaft). It's also the widest internally (just barely), and probably the msot square which makes building the internal easier. (Personally I'd still buy a Ford Transit - or maybe an Iveco Daily 6, in Europe at least.)
It's a basic air compressor that actually came with my van that has some sealant that you can pump in if you get a flat tire. Wakin up at the beach is awesome!!
Just started following you two and I've got to ask. What's with the axe over the shower? I think I need one if those for our motor home! Love your videos!
We take our RV to pacific city all the time. Love sitting on the ridge there and watch idiots get stuck. Not saying that your idiots, other people of course....
You all won't believe this but I am now almost Vegan. 1 year ago I stopped eating beef and dairy. 2 months ago I gave up pork and chicken. I do eat seafood. Do you all have any suggestions, advice, recipes, or reading material to help me futher transition my lifestyle? Thanks for another great video. ~Smile!
Hey Ciecie we are not actually vegan we just have been cooking and eating vegan so everyone can have some since the other two couples are vegan. It has been really good though. I think we could do it to be honest
I went Keto and lost like 20 pounds without exercising at all. Find whats right for you instead of following others. Generally speaking, sugar and carbs are much worse than fat. Besides, if you really love animals that much, stop eating their food. lol
Mike France That is awesome. My friends in Nevada are doing great with Keto. I did Keto, but this will sound weird, it gave me too much energy. I felt light headed. Maybe I wasn't doing it right. I feel awesome now with my plant base lifestyle. Plus seafood for protein. Weight loss is happening too, though that wasn't my goal. Great chatting with you. ~Smile!
That was fun to watch your beach adventure. I’d totally be the one for driving all the way onto the beach! I thought you guys weren’t vegan ( one of the reasons I first start my following you). Are you vegan or just cooking vegan so everyone could eat?
We are not vegan, just making vegan food so everyone can be included. it's not bad but we would be eating regularly if these guys weren't hangin out with us.
So this was the second video I encountered from this channel; the first being the build tour, which was awesome and inspiring. I am happy that you are not hating van life now (as suggested in the title and thumbnail). I also am happy that you did not have a big argument (as depicted in the thumbnail). Yes, I totally fell for your clickbait. This time. Feel free to laugh at me. This time. To be fair, this was a great video and I enjoyed watching it, but am very disappointed that you feel the need to stoop to clickbait for your videos. Have some self-confidence in your work!
We have fallen victim to the click bait from time to time. I’m sorry you felt stooped!! We really did have an argument but it wasn’t in the video just the thumbnail. Hopefully you watch some of our future videos to so we can redeem ourselves
Trent & Allie Sorry 'I' felt 'stooped'! Lol! Thanks guys, for the gracious reply. You guys are alright. : ) I hope you won't be tempted to create anymore clickbait though. Those kind of tactics are beneath you. Just keep being your genuine selves, do what comes naturally, and create honest titles for your videos. The subscriptions will come, I'm positive of it. Just be a little more patient. If you really need the cash, you can always create a Patreon account, you know. ~_^ Also, take some time and do a little research on Biogas to replace your propane. If you can do that successfully, you will be more self sufficient and will be able to completely eliminate the cost of the propane (I know that stuff's not cheap). You can sustain your supply of Biogas with food scraps! : D
I just noticed you drive through salt water. That is a HUGE never do and I really hope you washed underneath that van and got all the sand and salt water off it. Especially since it is your home.
I can't believe you guys made such newbie mistake as to do the drive on the sandy beach thing! There are "stuck in the sand and it's twin, mud" videos all over the internet. Sad, but I can't help but sigh and laugh (a bit). Sorry. Good luck as your adventures continue.
Don't tell me Eamon and Bec, and the MM's have converted the only van lifers who aren't vegan, to the lifestyle. Ha, just joking. Looks like a lot of fun.
You were dreaming that you woke up in a 4x4 Sprinter... and then you woke up and you were driving in the sand... and then you woke up and you were in a Pro Master??? Too funny!
You need some BF Goodrich KO2 tires on that rig. Hope you took the van to a car wash and had the underside cleaned. Salt water will ruin that beautiful ride.
Love seeing the old ones. You guys have come so far!
Have Fun!
Hard to see in the vid but there was a group of people cheering for us to get unstuck haha
YOLO
Some relatives of mine had a small resort up the coast, and we saw MANY a vehicle beat the driver to the claim and slowly take it down. Once the water's high enough to sift the sand out from under your tires, might as well just say 'good bye'...
I'm so glad that you were able to get off the beach before the tide engulfed your van! Awesome of those guys to pull you out! Fun party!
Yeah we were lucky!! It pays to have friends with trucks sometimes right? haha
Loved watching Frank having a blast running on the beach!🐕🏝
I’m new to the Trent & Allie squad! So glad the minimal millennials and Ehmon and Bec introduces us!!! Loving your videos ❤️🙏🏼
That’s awesome!! So glad to have you as a new viewer!! Happy to see you’re liking the videos 😎🤘🏼
I found this via Don't Stop Belizen. So THIS is why you bought the plastic tire tracks! Good job!
Sorry it took so many videos but this earned my subscription. That was freaking perfect.
Glad you enjoyed it Anita!! We had a blast. Thanks for watching
What an adventure. Love watching all your video's. What I wouldn't give to be young again and be able to have a Van Life experience. You both are so amazing.
Thanks Kathy!! we hope our videos bring you joy!! Also it's never too late to start van life :)

We are so glad too!! Thanks Debra

Yeah we learned out lesson my front tires were about 10 psi. But they're one ton tires that didn't want to bulge much. Oh well we got out anyway haha
This gave me anxiety. I am never taking my van on the beach like that. lol
Not the best idea haha
L W I learned to drive at Long Beach in, in Long Beach, Washington State
Hahaha that was a lot of digging! Glad you were able to power through the sand 🤙 Pacific City looks absolutely amazing!
It's such an incredible place!! We did have to dig a lot though. total bummer
Trent & Allie looks like it was worth it tho 😂
Classic. Thanks for rocking the MTB TRIBE PODCAST Tee. It looks great!
Thanks for sending them to us!!
Looks like Frank loves the beach too! I was on the edge of my seat when I seen the tide coming in! Lol!
It was scary!!! Frank was in heaven you're right haha

Yeah we aired down to like 15 lbs from 80 haha. The van weighs 9,000 lbs so that makes a difference haha
Haha! 😂that was great. I'm so jealous. Even getting stuck was exciting. Frank was having a lot of fun💓🐾. Love y'all, enjoy!😘🍷
Thanks Gibbs!! so glad you liked this episode. it was fun even though it kind of sucked too lol
One of my favorite things about the coast is the drizzle/misty salty rain especially if sitting in the hot tub ahhhhh
Gotta love a dirty Chia mmmm
Yeah the dirty chai was great!! We also love that ocean spray :)
Love Eamon and Bec I follow them too!
Frank was soooo happy...running his tail off
the beach is his favorite hahah!!
So fun watching the say unfold all over again from your perspective! What a blast it's been hanging with you two and our favourite furry friend Frank XX
We've had the best time!!! Thanks for keeping us full of good food ;)

5:17 is so funny hahaha. Allie is me when I see a dog
haha you would get along so well
Dat upload grind! Thank you for the grind
Yeah man We're pumpin them out haha. Thanks Bryce
It would NEVER SUCK waking up next to ALLIE!
Im so in love with both of you... Every Video thus far has had a moment of prime laughter, feeling of being on your Adventures... Top 5 of my Fav video Editing.. LOVe Love,,, Thank you.
I Always carry some roof shingles.... sand, ice, snow, mud... nothing stops me.
That’s a really smart idea
BFG Goodrich tires are awesome for sand and on the road. Allterrain tires.
Yeah that's what we'll get when we wear these out for sure
You guys should keep 4 planks of wood as tracks for when you get stuck in deep sand or mud.
How time flies. Now everyone has little ones. :)
Man do both! It to hard to go with out coffee. I can no longer drink coffe and I am a chi tea lover! But having both sound sooooo good!
Yeah both was very delicious
Oh time for a new van build the ford transit makes a 4x4 lol . Nice vid thanks for sharing your beach day 😃
I'd love to have a 4x4 haha.
That track playing during the yoga session was 🔥! Also spotted that backcountry.com tee. Nice.
That's my old company that I worked for!! Glad you liked the music too!
Get yourselves two track rails they don’t take up much room ..
Yeah we are investing in those for sure haha
Fun video! We have really had a lot of fun here in Oregon!! it's such a beautiful state :) True about the rain though. we should have gone out and went to do it
Trent & Allie if you ever want to get some ideas about places to visit in Oregon, hmu. Sometimes I feel like an unofficial travel guide to my friends because my wife and I have been been all over the state. Safe and fun travels to you both!!
Trent I would of pooped my pants with the Tide coming in that fast lol, love your videos.
I was about to!! It was scary! Lucky we made it out when we did haha
You know you could patent that and have a steady source of income? You could design them to lay back if they touch the tire well then open back up ounce the scoops scoop up some sand or dirt so you won't damage the tire well. 😊😉
That would be a crazy contraption haha
I live on the ocean beach in Washington state only drive on hard packed wet sand unless you are driving ATV.
Trent, your not a morning person, I can tell when you start your blog early in the morning, you breath heavily, deep voice, don't look to happy, etc.
Yeah I can be a morning person lol but naturally I am not LOL you caught me haha
Just subscribed and must say I love your van! If you ever get up to the Bellingham WA area I'll take you both out to lunch sometime.
That would be awesome!! Thanks for coming along on our adventures 😎🤘🏼
I miss Eamon and Bec so much!! When will they start 🎞 my again? And Bob, too!
That looked a great fun day 😀
It was soo fun!!
You looked like you were having a great time.
It was a fun day for the most part haha
Come on guys, a little rain? I thought brave frontiersfolk like yourselves just bit the bullet and launched into the day. I think you're lucky the quicksand didn't get you guys. Maybe time to get some on board air fitted? And don't let the small matter of incoming tide stress you out. Remember the two rules - 1. Don't sweat the small stuff. -2. It's all small stuff. Stay safe guys and keep up the good work.
Thanks for the reminder Pedro!! You're the man :)
PS..I'm finding my diet changing due to you all makin' yummy stuff!
Good!! Hope we're steering you towards the healthy side of things
Hell yeah Bonzi!!!
Next build: Four by Four! Check! #TA
For real haha
Oh man, you should have gotten a boat. wow
Have you ridden Blackrock Freeride Mountain bike trails near Falls City in Oregon? Not far from Pacific City my cattle dog loved both places
Never have!! We’ll have to put it on the list

watching this in 2020 and I have camped there. and rain? heh I am from PNW coast of washington..
How are the Ram Promaster performing? How many miles do you have on it? I am thinking of getting one too and do the conversion.
Ram promaster runs great. this is my second one and i've put 40k on the first and 20k on this one and no problems at all
Thanks, will get one.
Mr. Hair bun to the rescue.
LOL Ain't that the truth
Good times great memory making. 😎🤣
Yeah it was so fun!!
Just started following you two and I've got to ask. What's with the axe over the shower? I think I need one if those for our motor home! Love your videos!
It's a decoration that I use to chop down trees sometimes
良いなあー楽しそうこんなVAN・LIFEを過ごしてみたい。
Love you guys
:)
Look on the bright side. If the tide comes in you've got yourself a house boat. People pay good money for that!
Almost made a yacht out of my van haha
Haha, I might be willing to try the Chai AFTER I had my coffee ☕️😜
Great Friends, great time,AMAZING TRENT AN ALLIE+FRANK, LOVE LOVE, MMWHAA
Love your green wall clock, would like to know where you purchased it from, can you please share? Thank you.
we got it at home goods
Thank you, I will look.
What a beautiful cat face in your thumbnail.. Nice!

Yeah we saw a subaru outback floating away the day after this haha
I could think of worse places to get stuck.😎🏄♀️

is that Canon beach?
So this was the second video I encountered from this channel; the first being the build tour, which was awesome and inspiring.

Shovel, maxtraxx, snatch rope - AND/OR friend with a. JEEP

❤️
Put it in first gear & don't panic, etc...
even if i had 4 wheel drive, i wouldn't park on the beach with all that salt air. driving your van on the beach isnt good for your vehicle long term
Andrew Theodore - ah that's a good point. A good rinse down afterwards is probably a good idea.
True!! but how can you pass up the opportunity!!
very good idea
I just noticed you drive through salt water. That is a HUGE never do and I really hope you washed underneath that van and got all the sand and salt water off it. Especially since it is your home.
Cleaned it all very well afterwards!!
Allie, your accent is so cute. Chia is yummy
Thanks Lora :) chai is so yummy
NO. Please, just no more hipster crap. No more $6, chai-drinking, man-bun wearing, slack-line walking hipster shit. That guy is ridiculous.
🤦♀️
I can't believe you guys made such newbie mistake as to do the drive on the sandy beach thing! There are "stuck in the sand and it's twin, mud" videos all over the internet.
Sad, but I can't help but sigh and laugh (a bit). Sorry.
Good luck as your adventures continue.
Yeah we were foolish but luckily we made it out!! It was a blast overall though! Thanks Lori
One eyed Willie

Benjamin Briu possibly sarcasm? ...sometimes this lifestyle is idealized/glamorized.

It was an exciting day, it looks like - and hey it made you click on it like I did too!
Don't tell me Eamon and Bec, and the MM's have converted the only van lifers who aren't vegan, to the lifestyle. Ha, just joking. Looks like a lot of fun.
Nah we eat meat still. just not when we hang out with them!!! Vegan food is usually pretty good though
Vegan raised beef makes the tastiest steaks
hahaha

If that is not the whitest dancing I have ever seen.....
Toasty @ 12:52
‘‘Twas a great night!!
trent has a tongue ring!!! (Y)
You were dreaming that you woke up in a 4x4 Sprinter... and then you woke up and you were driving in the sand... and then you woke up and you were in a Pro Master??? Too funny!
Haha we wished we had 4x4 for sure lol
Oh my, so much fun, but man is it lucky there was a tow! It's so much fun to see you guys hanging out with peeps. Have a good one!
yeah thank god for that 4runner haha He saved the day
Time for a up grade on tires
for real!! I can't wait til these ones wear out haha
You need some BF Goodrich KO2 tires on that rig. Hope you took the van to a car wash and had the underside cleaned. Salt water will ruin that beautiful ride.
