The ANC is irrelevant nowadays. I just ignore them and do what I please. We need to adopt this attitude with them going forward. There is no way they will be able to enforce any laws if we just ignore all the petty ones. They do not have the manpower to enforce this regulation.

This election coming next year is quite important just to see where the mindset of people are. I think the ANC will make sure load shedding is down to a minimum before the elections and also pushing NHI as hard as they can, as voters will vote on intention just as much as action even if the NHI never gets anywhere.

Most people earning the kind of money needed to live and enjoy life here already have assets in two countries and/or earn Dollars or pounds. I do Water Use Licence Applications for mines as a consultant. This proposed law will in practice exclude all the top tier miners like Anglo American and Sibanye Stillwater. I doubt even 15% of ALL mines will in future be able to obtain a Water Use Licence. The cANCer is eagerly destroying what is left of SA's once proud mining industry whilst illegal mining operations thrive!

Here's an idea. Get a community together, build a small desalination plant, then use common law and emancipation and ensure the business is placed in as a trust, or something along those lines, and the government cannot truly touch it. Just a thought.

Secondly, we've known what the anc is like, and what they up to and what their plans were from the start, there has been enough evidence over the last 15 to 20 years, and this could all have been started years ago. Thirdly, thousands of people are emancipating, and then fall under common law. It's not a new concept. Um, desalination plants are used to remove salt from water, i.e sea water, hence the name desalination. They will be pretty useless inland.

My father decided to leave S.A when I was 12 years old. I am so very grateful to him that he did. His father was British and that allowed him to get a British passport and his children too when he emigrated. They changed that law not long after we arrived. We got in just in time. I live in Wales now and I can tell you the Welsh only give Jobs in the councils, schools and government to people who can speak Welsh and believe it or not Welsh is one of the hardest languages to learn on the planet. I love Wales. As someone born in S.A. Wales is the best country in the world. Totally and absolutely the best in the world. You should go to Wales for a Holiday to see what I mean. It will blow your mind away. Free prescriptions. Free health care (not really as we all pay for it, but if you don't have money, it makes no difference. The poor all get treatment). Plenty of water. Plenty of electricity. Yes, it rains often and the wind blows up a good storm most of the time but really, that is not a bad thing when you realise the main benefit of living here.

We have a small business. We cannot afford to lose our business and then our house and other assets we have if our business has to close.
