I love watching how you take care of your natural hair, I have naturally straight hair that is bleached, and it is hard to keep healthy, I love using products that are more suited towards curly hair becuase my hair is dry and needs lots of moisture to keep it healthy. I also only wash my hair once a week so washing days are pretty intense for me as well. I think the reason why a lot of curly haired girls are afraid to go natural is because there's so much work involved just to manage it and they might not know how to keep it healthy, I very glad you take the time to show us everything that you make yourself or use so hopefully more curly girls will go natural instead of putting in weaves that damage their hair, even with my straight hair when I used to wear extensions my hair would get so damaged, o would never wear them again, so I can't imagine people constantly getting hair glued in, that would be so damaging and costly.

oh wow Whitney you look beautiful and i'm glad you included the "Fulani inspired", i'm part Nigerian and lived in Nigeria and all over West Africa the first 12 years of my life. The Fulani ethnic group for me always had the best hairstyles, they always stand out compare to other ethnic groups when not covered with scarfs. Your hairstyle brought back good memories of my neighbour who was Fulani, random the Fulani/Hausa ladies were the few I never really saw with weaves/relaxers. hmm I might just check out the Pantene Line if it ever arrives in the U.K

When I began to learn about West African I started learning about the various Wodaabes/Borro, Peul, Fula, Hausa-Fulani. These tribes have the best hairstyles. I like the fan-li like hairstyle with the braids all around and the style they do similar to Alicia Keys.

Thank you so much for this hairstyle Whitney! I don't attend any festivals but I love festival hairstyles and I copied this look for a formal banquet that I attended last night. I got so many compliments, everyone loved it. Also it's a relatively quick style as it only took me around an hour and a half and most of that time was spent detangling (my hair wasn't blown out like yours). I really love the braids and beads look but my face is really round so I don't like doing the styles where ALL the hair is braided up. This was perfect! Thanks again 💕

My mom would just twist up my hair at the ends and thread it through like a needle.

Yes, absolutely. My Mom always used aluminum foil to secure the ends. How she got them to stay in place is beyond me. And she never used a tool to put the beads on, she just pushed them up the braid by hand one by one. Thanks, Sis, for bringing that memory back. Rest In Peace, Mommy. I truly appreciate the way you loved and cared for me. I Praise Almighty GOD for your life.

Everyone take note. Cultural inspiration done the right way. We don't mind you borrowing the style but please give credit to the original creators, just like Naptural85 did. Don't come on here telling me Kylie created this lol. Nice one. Fulani girls are naturally very beautiful and so are their hairstyles!

I went to school in Bauchi, Nigeria. All the Fulani girls had great hair styles and always looked beautiful. They never did much with their hair. No perms/ relaxers that I recall and had luscious hair. They also used natural products.

Your hair looks so healthy and moisturized!! I recently colored my hair and I regret doing so because now my hair is dry and brittle and is breaking off pretty bad. Watching your videos help me to better take care of my hair!

You look like my favorite childhood babydoll Kenya. Y'all remember her, she was a black doll that came in all shades and you could straighten her curly hair, wash it and it would be back curly. She came with beads and I remember doing her hair just like this. She was actually he reason I fell in love with doing my own hair. But you remind me of the one I had so much. This is so cute and nostalgic.
