    I got one, and some wheels. Make sure you don't mix the spacers if you have both wheels off. Took me all day to work it out.

    You should take a small torch to brake rotor bolts and heat them up first then use hand tools.

  • @Airsofthelpvancouver1963
    @Airsofthelpvancouver1963 Рік тому +2

    Slight heat even though it won't be red lock tight just a quick hit with a torch to the bolt not the disk or it will warp quick this will help when warm to break the seal of the blue lock tight kk.

    Does the bike handle that much better and is the speed and the power-torque the same ??? What is the differance with this setup and can you set the traction control with those wheels on the bike?? Thanks for the videos..

    • @timgriffen5978
      @timgriffen5978 Рік тому +1

      The bike definitely loses the initial zip. Top speed drops by about 4-5mph. Traction control does not work(not that its any good anyways). The bike feels more centered, corners way better, and is way less jittery.

    • @Mrhyperelectric
      @Mrhyperelectric Рік тому

      Thanks for sharing I presume you like your set up!! Do you feel it is definitely worth it. Do you feel better tires will help the handling at all If I want to try that first?? For the rest of the bike how do you like it??? Thanks Tim good looking!!!!

      @timgriffen5978 Рік тому +1

      I can’t give you a definitive answer yet. Just haven’t put enough days on the 18/21. But it will be all about range for me, definitely performs better. I don’t need high end top speed(mostly do trail riding). So just need to really get a feel for the range hit. But its a fun set up!

    • @race-emoto
      @race-emoto  Рік тому

      its alot better especially on hill climbs. as Tim said there is a slight change in characteristics of speed but we did get the traction control working, but never use it anyway

      @Mrhyperelectric Рік тому

    Man, My rear brake has so much left to right play, I know some left to right play is normal but mine is so bad it is causing it to rub. How will I fix this?

    • @race-emoto
      @race-emoto  10 місяців тому +1

      Hmm, they should self centre. Check that the caliper is able to float left and right so it can self centre. If it's not moving you may need to take it off and check all the mounting pins.
      Has one disc pad worn more that the other? if it has, it means it's not floating

    My front caliper is closed to tight for some reason. Obviously I dropped my UB during this process, twice, so maybe I tweaked it. How do I open them?

    • @race-emoto
      @race-emoto  11 місяців тому

      If it is the pads that are closed shut, use a thin blade to slide in and carefully seperate them a little, then a small flat head to open all the way. Be gentle so you dont damage the pads.

    • @race-emoto
      @race-emoto  Рік тому +1

      90/90. We use it because it's more suited to enduro riding than MX, gives better braking force ect. We race hard enduro on it.

      The Ultra has unique hubs and KKE make rims to suit

    • @Some.Canadian
      @Some.Canadian 4 місяці тому +1

      Late reply, but to those wondering Honda wheels fit with a little modification. Just grab two rotor side spacers, rotor side is plug and play. On the other side you have to cut the 2nd rotor side spacer down to 19mm or Charged Cycleworks has a spacer kit (for me the shipping cost more than the part so that was a no go.) and just like that you have a relatively cheap 21" front. Just make sure the hub has the same bolt pattern for the disc and it should fit just fine. You can grab a used wheel for hundreds of dollars cheaper and it'll be bulletproof compared to these cheap (quality not price) kke wheels.

      @Some.Canadian thanks for taking the time to respond. Much appreciated, I will be using the information you provided.

    • @Some.Canadian
      @Some.Canadian 4 місяці тому +1

      @@chaossonar No worries, I used the same info myself. Important to note, this only applies to the front wheel. I've seen one instance that some fit a kawasaki wheel on the rear but they never gave out any info on the specs or process they had to go through to make it work. The best option if your on a budget is to stick with a 19 in the rear, with a rimlock you should be able to run a 100/90-19 without too much issue and that is still a significant upgrade over the stock rear tire. People have fit 110/90-19's but it seems like the performance/power ratio isn't worth it unless you beef up the battery and drivetrain which is a very costly way to go about it.
