Hopeless MX-5 Paint Gets A New Lease Of Life

- When we collected Jake's new-to-him Mazda MX-5 from Cornwall the paint was in great condition. However, a year of neglect had turned the MX-5s deep gloss into a matte mess that was crying out for a deep clean. In this video, we use Squid Ink's range of powerful detailing products to restore his grotty Classic Red paint.

Goodness BOFI getting bufty !! Car came out well, but that's also a brilliant advert for Mister's & JR roll bar's as you could film without rattling or bouncing around and that exhaust. ..Sounds like a little Ford BDA. 💕💕💕
These days we fit Whiteline ARBs as JRs are hard to get, and the WL come with a pair of droplinks so you can corner weight the car.

Paint as old as this one I would just sand with 1500->2000 grit and then polish with sth like Menzerna 300 -> 1000 -> 2000 and (perhaps) 4000 for omega bling. Paintchips you can fill with touchup paint using toothpick prior to sanding, it doesn't even have to be exactly the same color, let it cure for a day or two then sand and polish. Easy. Have fun.
I think the paint would come up easy even without a wet sand. Just ran out of time and clean pads sadly

Yeah it was a little dirty between filming. Hit it with some QD and it looked beautiful!

I got wired question what tire pressure should I run on my tires I got mx5 from 2006 what pressure on track and what on road?
30 PSI hot tyre pressure is a good starting point

Best tip for foot position while driving ? should be straight on pedal or angled ? toes only or toes and bones or mor like half of the foot ? im uk9 size any tips Mate ? or can you make short video or something or just describe .
