Rest Easy Mac. #92tilinfinity
Macadelic was his first project where he really started RAPPING rapping and people started to take him more seriously as an MC. Mans was spitting his ass off on that project. Highly recommend
You two are my favorite reactors. This is one of the bodies of work I listen to more than anything and I love that you reacted to this mixtape. Good energy and abundant intelligence from both of you.
Been a Mac fan since day one and never thought twice about his foreshadowing dark raps.... now I can’t listen to a single song without noticing it. I think he was the greatest lyricist of our generation. He had mad flow and intelligent lyrics. He was such a slept on rapper. He had skill. My heart aches to know he’s gone. Thanks for the awesome review, love it when someone can appreciate his art
Mac talked before about how at the time he made this project he was doing so many drugs all the time that he thought he was going to OD. The song Grand Finale was written with the thought that it might be the last song he ever released. That adds even more weight to the entirety of the project, but the line that really sticks in my head is, "And if by chance this is my grand finale, bury me in Allegheny County." Can't listen to that song any more without tearing up a little. Dope reaction. R.I.P Mac Miller
Yea man, and being from Pittsburgh, having grown up at all the same spots Mac talks about in his music, I can relate so much to it. It feels like I've lost a friend. Pgh love forever.
He even was buried there, ending everything where it started. Homewood Cemetery, really close to his childhood home and Frick Park (the Blue Slide Park). Rest in peace Mac, man.
Yes definetely react to more Mac projects. My favorites are probably GO:OD AM and Watching Movies With the Sound Off. WMWTSO is where Mac really got into that darker style so it's closer to Faces in that way and then GO:OD AM is like him waking up after the dark times and seeing the good in life. I did enjoy the Divine Feminine but it's definetely not as good to me as his other projects
You guys are the realest for having the only faces reaction (my most heavy listened to mixtape). I really appreciate this reaction and your willingness to dive deep into his masterpiece. I think you guys should do a reaction to Macadelic, if y’all liked faces you should like that as well.

@Dennis Reynolds because nobody I knew or came across fucks with his music, and I'd put him up there with the goats like in my top 5, people would be like who Mac Miller is in your top 5? Or look at me different or funny
One of the greatest things in my life was to see Mac evolve as an artist. I started following him in 2010, I was 13 then. Mac wasn't just a rapper. He was music. Then, now and always. I love Malcolm, thank you for everything. Your mom and dad raised a GOD.
Even after two years it makes me so crazy happy to see you guys enjoying Faces for the first time. I hope Mac knows how much joy his music brought people’s

"The day that I die on, will turn me to a icon" Faces and WMWTSO as well as his numerous underground projects, (run on sentences, home n' stoned, etc.) are about to gain the legend status they've deserved for years
Facts he is a legends its just sad that he have to die to be aknowliged as one... I remember back then I always told my friends that he had hella good music besides his party songs like nikes on my feet n stuff and that he evolved and even got better but most of em were sleeping on him
Would love to see a second “review” listen of this mixtape. Going through multiple times you’ll catch more bars than you did before. I love hearing what others have to say about projects I hold close to my heart. One of my favorite Mac projects for sure. I’ve watched this review at least 20 times lol
I went back and listened to this tape again right when I heard he had passed and it's nuts. On the one hand, it's an amazing piece of art. On the other hand, it's so sad because he sounds like he knows what's going to happen to him. It's just so eery to listen to this project now.
i mean yeah those are also foreshadowing but on the track i listed he literally talks about how he's gonna kill himself if he keeps acting the way he is with his addiction and he doesnt want his fam and friends to go through that.
I still can't really accept that he's gone, literally one of my personal top 3 of all time. It's funny, when other huge name people pass away and everyone cried I never understood why. I never realized how much music effects us. "How could he go? He was part lion..." RIP Mac, music will never be the same without your remarkable talent and message.
Man I started tearing up watching this. Seeing people appreciate Macs artistry always makes me melancholy and nostalgic for the old days .... everybody got dead homies
"God Dammit, It just won't stop, I know my father probably wished that I would just smoke pot, My Grandma probably smack me for the drugs I got, I'm a crackhead but I bought her diamonds, we love rocks!" *heavy sigh*
This was so awesome to watch. I know this tape really well and just seeing your guys reactions to it all reminded me of my first few times listening to it! Bumping Diablo forever.
I never see people talking abt the bar where he says "bad apple like an unemployed macentosh, we lost jobs" jobs like Steve jobs but also unemployed so lost jobs. Everyone I saw react to it only get the first bar but its such a sick bar that goes more than just the first one. Mac was so talented man
Jack Wade “sober I cant deal I’m in the corner with my head low, running from my shadow, never ending chase, ease the pain of the battle that’s within me, sniff the same shit that got Whitney” :(
This reaction is honestly the best. To see someone soo hype on his music like I am. New faces is my favorite song and this is by far my favorite album hes made. It's so vulnerable and real.
It’s a shame I never gave his music a chance until he died. But he left all these gems behind. It’s like finding a fire Netflix show that’s 6-7 seasons in lol RIP MM. Btw, this is becoming the best hip hop review channel on UA-cam. Keep it up, fellas
This put a smile on my face. It’s bittersweet seeing Mac finally get the attention he truly deserved for so many years. I don’t know where I’d be without him, and I really don’t think any of this will ever seem real.

@TheRealist 811 I feel the same but only to the fake ass people that called him trash but then call him a legend when he dies. When new people come to mac because he died, I like because I want his talents to be shown to the whole world. Legit top 5 artists of all time imo
Side note : The beats sound that good because he used untouchable samples on all the songs. Much of the samples on there, you can't even pay to use them. That's why Faces is a mixtape but is doper than most rap albums.
I had this mixtape on replay for almost a solid month straight when this came out. The production is flawless in my eyes, his cadence is so smooth, it all vibes so well. Once i heard Mac passed, immediately put this shit on to remember why mac was so great. Production, rapping, singing, and writing. I will never forget the impact he had on my life. I hope you find music that feeds your brain the way this mixtape feeds mine.
Doug Araugo does a pretty good one too, though he’s far less known than Jon Denton lol Bottom line this project is criminally slept on by the majority of hip hop fans
9:22 you guys missed a really big line. “A drug habit like Phillip Hoffman, will probably put me in a coffin, down the slope in my toboggan.” Hoffman overdosed on cocaine, a toboggan is like a sled, down the slope.. like that line sticks heavy.
Man I love how it takes years for people to recognize Mac and its becuase he died.. I want people to love Mac like me, and he is my favorite and always will be.. it's sad mac is just now getting the recognition he deserves.. He is the best to me I've said it for years Rest In Peace Mac Love you bro
my favorite mac project of all time. one of my favorite projects all time period. came out when i was in high school and really influenced me at the end of my adolescence. with that being said, there was STILL some wordplay that y'all pointed out that i hadn't noticed before. just goes to show how intricate the lyrics on this tape are. truly something you can listen to consistently for years and years and continue discovering new things about it. almost nothing has made me feel the spectrum of emotions that this project has taken me through. thank you mac. and thank you guys for appreciating one of the best to ever do it.
Favorite tape, thanks for the reaction, people say he was “hinting” at things that were to happen in swimming but clearly they didn’t hear this, good job for being the first reaction on UA-cam by the way 😁😁😁

i wish mac coulda seen this video. i consider myself one of the biggest mac fans and this as my favorite project, and half these bars went over my head. he woulda geeked watching y’all catch every single one
Mac thought Grand Finale was gonna be his last song before he passed, which is crazy
Jay FigureS he said in an interview that he had planned to take his life after that project but changed his mind. Super sad
Isabel Rivas can u tell me which interview he said that in I wanna watch it
@@pandemonium5557 I'm curious to I'm a huge mac fan and I've never heard of this before tbh. That's sad
@@tcoast1161 Dunno if you found it yet but there's a video on UA-cam where he shows the making of Grand Finale.
@@pandemonium5557 Where is that interview ?
I never comment on videos that much but I just wanna say I really appreciate you guys' analysis and appreciation for Mac's music. He will forever be my favorite artist his range as an artist is unmatched and lyricism is on a whole other level. Brings me joy to see others enjoy what I have for so long. Rest Easy Mac. #92tilinfinity
the cover was made by his brother miller mccormick. we lost our favorite artist but that man lost his brother
“Bring the joint together like a kneecap” is one of my favorite bars
Macadelic was his first project where he really started RAPPING rapping and people started to take him more seriously as an MC. Mans was spitting his ass off on that project. Highly recommend
He was spitting way before that.... nikes on my feet
GIBB G true. But he was still in that boom bap phase.
@@thatguybsmith I'm just starting and o love boombap
You two are my favorite reactors. This is one of the bodies of work I listen to more than anything and I love that you reacted to this mixtape. Good energy and abundant intelligence from both of you.
Keep listening. It keeps Mac with us.
When he first released this you had to make a sandwich on his website to get the download link lmao
Anthony Truman I remember that and all the videos he put on UA-cam with close ups of his face lmao I miss this dude so much
Thank you for reminding about that 😂 @Anthony Truman
I forgot all about that shit! Damn, faces dropped on mother's day I'll never forget that though
bruhhh i hella remember that crazy
Are you serious? That's dope I used to just play it on youtube
Your first reaction to Diablo was everyone’s first reaction when it first came out
Let's goooo. Fav channel right here
Been a Mac fan since day one and never thought twice about his foreshadowing dark raps.... now I can’t listen to a single song without noticing it.
Well they did bury him in Allegheny. ❤️
Diablo's reaction is the purest reaction I've ever watched till now. 23th time I watch this video
Watching movies please
Good AM really? That’s by far my least fav project, should I give it another shot?
Listen godspeed
ROS is in my top 5 tracks by him
those are two of my favorites, but macadelic gives WMWTSO a run for its money
@@matt4604 YES!
You guys are the realest for having the only faces reaction (my most heavy listened to mixtape). I really appreciate this reaction and your willingness to dive deep into his masterpiece. I think you guys should do a reaction to Macadelic, if y’all liked faces you should like that as well.
Thank you guys for making this video. Means the world to me
Everybody was sleeping on him... Its sad that he had to die to be appreciated...
Good video tho
Kaesekruste everyone does
Ppl we're sleeping but not everyone . was listening to him since senior skip day he was one year older than me when he passed. Followed him all the way even watched his mtv show . Hope he's at peace now 🙏
Not really a lot people loved Mac and listened to his music a lot
Ghost_rp my whole middleschool loved mac, i didnt, so i dont know which album specifically they loved but i think its called kickin dope shit or something im not gonna google
Ear Rapist yeah, I’m pretty sure almost every guy at my high school listens to Mac. tbh I really started getting into macs music a lot more last year, before that I only really knew his most popular songs
Macadelic is crazy too, released when he was 20
Shane Harrison
Yeah, I want this next if they're down

Ngl I still come back to this video at least twice a year mainly for the Diablo reaction. The car vibes made this video so much better too fs
Me too…for the same reason!
And for when they hear the B team bar
THANK YOU! And rest in peace to my favourite artist of all time.
Wish i had friends that listened to Mac

Definitely not a knock to you guys but I wish people realized how good Mac was before he died. His discography was insane & he was slept on and each have a unique meaning even after his death. Definitely review GO:OD AM next!
I was just thinking that, and I always wished people would hop on his wave way before he died but it never happened, I felt alone
You don’t realize how much I appreciate this video.
Even after two years it makes me so crazy happy to see you guys enjoying Faces for the first time. I hope Mac knows how much joy his music brought people’s
WARNING: GO:OD AM is full of foreshadows.
and idk how I just now realized that the name could be a play-on words saying "GO (or GOing to) OD in the AM" holy fuck.

Man that's tight people finally listening to Macs Genius. I mean it's dark and filled with life's questions. But I mean it's what people feel but to release it into music and get creative. That's what grabs us and keeps us going.
This and the swimming reaction from you guys are some of the most legendary reaction videos on youtube. Keep coming back to reminisce
I've been listening to this tape almost exclusively since he passed. Thank you for this reaction. Love your channel.
I been listening to this for a long time I was so hype when y’all got thru wedding, funeral, and Diablo. 3 of my fav songs ever. Bangerz
"The day that I die on, will turn me to a icon" Faces and WMWTSO as well as his numerous underground projects, (run on sentences, home n' stoned, etc.) are about to gain the legend status they've deserved for years
Its crazy how wise the fucking guy was. He called out so many fundamental truths. This is real artistry at work bro Im amazed.
Facts he is a legends its just sad that he have to die to be aknowliged as one... I remember back then I always told my friends that he had hella good music besides his party songs like nikes on my feet n stuff and that he evolved and even got better but most of em were sleeping on him
“I’m a magnet for them zeros call me Edward Sharpe.” The wordplay throughout this album is crazy

I do, like twice a month
Every single one. You ever listened to Delusional Thomas?

FINALLY... welcome to macs world.
I went back and listened to this tape again right when I heard he had passed and it's nuts. On the one hand, it's an amazing piece of art. On the other hand, it's so sad because he sounds like he knows what's going to happen to him. It's just so eery to listen to this project now.
I wish I listened and appreciated him before he died. He deserved more universal respect.
THANK YOU I BEEN WAITING FOR PEOPLE TO DO OLD MAC MIXTAPES
if you wanna hear foreshadowing by mac then listen to "Perfect Circle / God Speed", shit is so sad.
foreshadowing would be Self Care and So It Goes
a lot of his material foreshadowed tho...just no one paid attention
i mean yeah those are also foreshadowing but on the track i listed he literally talks about how he's gonna kill himself if he keeps acting the way he is with his addiction and he doesnt want his fam and friends to go through that.
Godspeed would mess with their head
GO:OD AM is full of foreshadowing man its crazy
One of my favorite tapes of all time bruh, god damn Mac's whole discog is so underappreciated
Damn I didn't even catch the industry (in-this tree) line until now. Mac was something else man.

Side note : The beats sound that good because he used untouchable samples on all the songs. Much of the samples on there, you can't even pay to use them. That's why Faces is a mixtape but is doper than most rap albums.
