- This is Gagan, he has had 14 hours of driving lessons in a manual car and a few hours with family in an automatic.
This is his first mock test and his actual test is in a weeks time!
He was doing really well until the end...

At 7.57 I would have given a serious fault as his intention was to go ahead in front of the vehicle already on the roundabout, it was only the fact that he stalled that prevented him from doing so.

Regarding the situation in 11:30 of the recording, I fully agree that it's vital to be aware of such practices by pedestrians and, obviously, the responsibility for the safety of the meeting must rest on the drivers, but you can't help remarking that pedestrians have become quite spoiled by the new traffic regulations and they are behaving very reclessly. What was this guy doing? What was he thinking? Why, I bet if he was running really late and getting into a jog, rather than just a brisk walk, he would have probably also jogged right into and through that crossing. Ugh!
But, first and foremost, thank you, Aman, for another superb video! And, OMG, congratulations on your refexes what with a voiding the collision with the lorry! It's massively impressive how you managed to judge the situation so perfectly, so as to be able to lurch from the normal sitting position, grab the wheel, and turn it the right amount, all at the last moment and in split seconds. Wow!

When you have to take control in the meeting incident, look at the pupils eyes and body language, he is fixated on the person on the bike he looks hypnotised that’s why he didn’t adjust for the lorry , when you take the wheel he didn’t brake his stare or react to you taking the wheel .

8:57 I think he entered the roundabout on the wrong lane - you shouldn't be going over crossed out markings and stay on the lane next to the left - unless you wanted to do a u-turn. This forced you to change lanes seconds later shortly before leaving roundabout
In Australia you have to do 120 hours (20 hour at night) before you can do you’re actual driving test. How many hours do you guys do in the uk to be able to go for you’re driving test ?
theres no certain number of hours, just depends how ready you are
damn 120 hours?! i live in greece and here you have to do 25 hours(minimum) to be able to go for your driving test
It’s so much harder to pass your driving test in London, or in any big city, than it is in say rural Wales. I always found the British practical exam format a little unfair.
No one gives the poor drivers on these videos a second at roundabouts or junctions and people are constantly jumping red lights!
It is a lot more challenging to do a test in London, but it does make for the best kind of driver
This way they are able to drive safely after they’ve passed :)

Great Great videos. Have my test in April. Would just like to know, when you do the emergency stop, do you put back the gear stick to gear 1 after the stop?
Hey, I just passed my test just over a week ago- here’s the emergency stop run down- when the person says “stop” you press the break then clutch.. once the car has fully stopped you put on the hand/parking brake and put it into Neutral. Then when it’s safe to do so you get in gear one and get yourself ready to start off checking both blind spots and all mirrors (hope this helps! & hope your test goes well!!!❤)
Got a question the lorry incident if he moved too much to the left then he less than 1 metre to the parked cars is this bad?
That mirror was not going to come off. You were going to write off the parked car kn the left if anything 😂

Not telling you your business but that roundabout at Twickenham, he should be scanning his left side also, I would consider the same as not checking his blind spot, if you notice the cyclist that passed on the footpath, if he darted across the road, Gaggan only looking at the on coming traffic may have hit him....just saying?!

Should have had more minors than are noted, when doing reverse manoeuvre and the park up on the left he never checked all his blind spots. Sorry, anytime he's moved off he hasn't completed full observations with his blind spots.
