As someone who has struggled with anxiety, thank you for sharing. It helps us "regular" guys see that yes, even a man that is an accomplished athlete, former Seal, successful businessman, etc like yourself can have anxiety. I'm glad you were able to get it under control. Exercise, diet and maintaining a better work/life balance has helped me get mine under control. Keep the vids coming!
Please never stop making content, day in the life’s, diets, workouts, stories, anything brother it is always so refreshing to see people like you still getting after it with yourself, your family, and other people you influence!
Looking forward to the lunch and dinner. For an ageing military man from across the pond, all your tips to stay at the cutting edge is appreciated 🇬🇧🇺🇲🤝🏴☠️
Josh, this video brought a smile to my face. Can’t tell you how much I resonate with everything here from going Carnivore-ish recently, listening to Paul, being very habitual in how I eat my meals, not drinking enough water, and my wife and I have been switching from plastic as well. Thanks for being a good dude and positive influence to follow. Glad I’m not the only crazy one out here, 😏. #LFG, #paytheman
Good content Josh. I've been physical for my whole life (57yo / 6'-1" 220lbs) and in the CrossFit scene since 2018. The last couple years my osteoarthritis has really payed the toll on my joints (knees, shoulders, elbows, hips and wrists) and my performance had dropped dramatically. Since my performance had dropped, but I didn't adjust my caloric intake, I picked up 20 unwanted pounds which only compounded my problems. I went from a 355lbs back squat PR to struggling with 135# because my knees hurt so bad. Then just over 2 months ago, after researching the carnivore diet and watching watching hours of content by Dr. Ken Berry, Dr. Anthony Chaffee, Dr. Shawn Baker, Dr. Lisa Wiedeman and many more, I decided to jump in on the carnivore diet with hopes that it would help me too. The first day I only ate ruminant meat, butter, eggs, salt and water but I also had 2 protein shakes just like I had been doing for the past 8 years. On the second day I decided no more protein shakes, just the carnivore stuff. On day three back squats were on the workout and to my surprise, I had ZERO knee joint pain and was able to push the workout. At first I notice I had lost my gas in the tank during the METCONs, but after about 2 weeks it noticeably started to increase again. By week 3 ALL of my joint pain was gone and today not only am I pain free 100%, I'm well on my way to revisiting some old PR's from 5 years ago and this morning I walked away with the METCON! Up until a couple weeks ago, I hadn't run in 2 years. I didn't even run MURPH this year because the post run pain was so bad it would knock me out of the gym for several days. Running is back and no post run pain. In fact, although I have been pushing the weight training hard, I've experienced NO lactic acid pain the day after. And by the 2nd day after I'm ready to go again. To recap my diet, I am eating animal based proteins (primarily beef), eggs, butter, salt and water. I cut out all carbs and WOW! I have been following you since I got into CrossFit, and you have my respect 100%. Based on my old man experience, if I were to encourage you in one direction, I would say, for the next 30 days minimum, cut out the fruit and honey and stick to just the animal based proteins (primarily beef), eggs, butter and water with attention given to post workout electrolytes. The carbs may feel good, but they may be keeping you from unlocking some serious potential too.
Totally agree with your thoughts on the ice bath. I’m not sure on all the research but it makes me feel really good, and that’s my reason for doing it😁🤙🏼
I stopped eating greens. I used to eat tine of broccoli, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts. Stopped about 7/8 months ago. Huge difference. Eliminated bloating and gas by 95%. Feel way better after now after meals.
That’s because those are cruciferous vegetables which lead to bloating and gas. Greens as a whole might not be the problem. Vegetables are still very important
Lol.. love all these anti green comments! Never had a single bloating from eating greens. Gas like crazy eating boats loads of fatty meat and eggs. Interesting how the bodies differ
I’m here for allll of these details! I paused the video and bought a glass bottle online. My water access during the day is limited sometimes; my reusable container is plastic. I’ll toss it when the glass one comes in
Fantastic video, thanks Josh! I've been eating a similar way for 7mths, and feel great, very similar comparisions to what you said with the benefits. I very been doing CrossFit for about 2yrs now, having come from a competitive cycling background, and eating this way has definitely helped with DOMS, which I rarely have anymore, I have to push super super hard to get post muscle soreness now. So, so far I'm sold on this way of eating! Thanks for all the videos and tips!!
I’m going to try this for the next 30 days or so. I am interested in your lunch and dinner. I have a schedule where my meals should be prepped, because I come home after being out anywhere from 9-12 hours Monday through Friday.
Definitely would like to see a lunch and dinner version! I've started eating carnivore and seeing this has just given me confidence in continuing. Thanks!
I had major panic attacks for years and fixed it with keto. Try going decaf if you still have some anxiety. When I went decaf, my air hunger went away as well. Thanks for the vids! 👍🏾
I’ve been eating almost this exact same way for the last 30 days. Recovering way better. Anxiety way down. Simple is key for me. I’ve been eating ground beef/bison, sweet potatoes and eggs everyday. Never crave anything else.
Bro, same on so many levels. I have an identical breakfast already. Lol. Also, the gasses they spray on the banana is a "natural" gas produced by plants called ethylene, and it makes them ripen faster. All bananas are shipped green, yellow bananas are gassed. So if you want bananas without the gas, buy the greenest bananas you can find and let them naturally ripen. Also, this is why you remove bad apples from the bunch. As it rots, aka, over ripens, it puts off the gas, which causes all the other apples / fruits to ripen faster. Also, orange eggs come from the plants chickens eat (we farm chickens). In winter, the eggs will have less orange as there's less grass growing. Summer eggs are the best as they'll have the grasses and bugs, winter eggs will be mostly in the feed they are fed.
Hey bro Just curious, if you train first thing in the morning you move the yam from lunch to the breakfast with the eggs and beef or the orange banana honey and berries enough curbs to replenish glycogen? Or you eat the yam( sweet potatoes) at lunch and dinner without connection to if you train or not?
Yes, the carnivore diet works for some people. Remember there was a certain group of people who lived in the mountains who were cavemen who basically had a diet of red meat and that's all that they really ate. You have people that came from the Caribbeans originally and they ate a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. If you notice, most of the people that say the carnivore diet works are Caucasians. Their body has been used to that for centuries. Now that a lot of people have mixed backgrounds, getting your blood work done is another good way to determine what diet type works best for you. I like the fact that he picks bits and pieces of different eating styles and fines. What works best for him. That's what everybody should do. Not just follow one strict carnivore plant-based or vegetarian diet.
Also curious if you ever tried legit good sourdough bread and noticed a difference. I get bread from a local baker that sells at natural grocers and I make my own and notice it doesn't mess with me like other breads and carb sources
Amazing video. It would be helpful to see some of your blood work results, specially the lipid panel to see how high your HDL and LDL are with eating a carnivorous diet. Even better if you have your LP(a) and your Apo B tests done. I’ve been following you for a long time, since the old school San Diego’s videos with your buddies….man I’ve learn so much from you guys and I got in great shape. Keep pumping the videos bro.
I eat the same way for 8 months. I was already very fit and healthy. I feel great, I’m even stronger, more muscle and my testosterone is 1100. No supplements and never taken TRT! I’m 42, Marine!
Oh wow, I didn‘t know that oats are often covered with glyphosate, did a quick research, and it seems to be true. Even in Europe where I live and where restrictions are a bit higher I assume. I love your approach and would be really interested in a video about dinner and lunch! Keep going Josh! You are a role model for me!
Oatmeal is probably the biggest scam in the world lol. Everyone thinks it’s so good for you but can you even tell yourself why? I cut carbs out of my diet because of the insane panic attacks I started having in class early in the morning went to eggs and yogurt. Anxiety was still there but I felt more confident I would be able to overcome it and I did! Anxiety at an all time low keeping those carbs away especially early in the morning.
Awesome could you do an episode on what you would eat on a competition day with animal based. My guess is increased carbs in the form of fruit and honey and making up for the protein in the evening after training ? Thanks
I love this type of food but if I start my morning with it, I know it can be hard on the gut because it’s heavier. I like to start with fruit to get the metabolism running and then I can pick up on the fats once my body gets warmed up. What do you all do? And how does your body respond?
Great content. Love the videos. Question about just salt. Is there a reason you avoid pepper? Is it a taste preference, or are their health concerns surrounding pepper?
Josh Bridges eats a pizza then does Double Fran, takes a shot of Good Dudes, plays a full game of softball and then watches an entire series of a TV show with his wife. MYTHICAL ACTIONS OCCUR.

Hey hey! Just curious about your bloodwork and if you’ve done it once or twice in past 2 years. Everything come up good? Thanks for sharing. Currently basically skipping breakfast and doing kind of intermediate fasting. Have you skipped all greens or what are you still eating when? I think personally there are trends which backed by science but with nutrition the devil is in the details and a lot is personal. Paleo/carnivore can work perfectly for you but is really bad another person. Such a wild jungle out there. Trial n error as you stated seems to be your best bet!
As Indians we eat a lot of green veggies and it keeps us healthy. I think its an individual thing, we should try and experiment as to what suits us best.
You look like you have been hanging out with Paul Saladino too much lol. Would this be a diet that you would use if you were in your 20's competing full time? I feel it would be hard to get all the carbs you need for competition and training. Great content!
Love your facts, I have ALWAYS and my kids, cut off the top and bottom of bananas, we never eat that part!! My husband hates greens and naturally always turns to his steaks and loves his honey, I am always a blueberry 🫐 banana and meat kind of girl. I swear to you I was no pain, amazing shape of my life, 8 pack, athlete, UNTIL I started listening to the internet and “world” 5 years ago and started eating greens! I have never been so sick, and unhealthy, and fat with digestive issues and hormone issues, in my life! Starting to focus back on higher protein, less starches, and less greens. You feel satiated, and your body got what it needs, that’s why you don’t “crave” anything, and that butter is helping lower your stress hormone, hence the reduction in your anxiety, and meat helps with that as well! I wonder if your blood type is O!!???
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO THESE VIDEOS FOR LUNCH, DINNER, SNACK ETC!!!! Keep um
Coming bro!!! Sooo good! Thank you

Love this video. I find that lunch is the hardest meal to eat clean. Interested to see a lunch episode.
One thing that helps me is to eat a clean dinner and then leftovers for lunch the next day.
Does the title not say breakfast? 😂😂
Josh, this video brought a smile to my face. Very needed video man. Thank you! Love from the UK 👌🏽 Dinner and Lunch video separately would be great

Absolutely agree. And in terms of micro nutrients you’re not really missing anything as long as you eat fruit, eggs and red meat
I swear people vastly over estimates vegetables. Even at times when I was very fit I felt I barely ate them, and almost never ‘greens’
That’s because those are cruciferous vegetables which lead to bloating and gas. Greens as a whole might not be the problem. Vegetables are still very important
I also stopped because the gas was just out if control. I thought it would get better hut it just never did.

But sweet potatoes has carbs
He got a banana there broski@@DemoBallisticsCar
This isn't a low carb diet
You're not crazy, it's one of the few things we can still have absolute freedom over. What we put in our bodies

Comment of the thread! Nice!
Love it. Fully agree with your approach to foot and eating.
Legend ! .. I’ve been eating the same for way for a while feel amazing !! Thanks for the video !!! .. hoping to see more like this !! 💪💪👍
Bro. We eat almost the same exact thing. I typically have 8 eggs and then beef for lunch, but other than that, spot on.
You can tell Josh is awake to a lot of things in this one
Love these meal videos mate 👍🏻 love from England

hope to see those lunch, dinner and snack vids. Like daily bases,
do you eat according to how active the day is?
Would love to see what you eat all day. I really enjoy your content.
Get a Berkey water filtering stand! You'd love it. Do you ever cut the coffee out for reduction of inflammation/reduction of dehydration?
Also curious if you ever tried legit good sourdough bread and noticed a difference. I get bread from a local baker that sells at natural grocers and I make my own and notice it doesn't mess with me like other breads and carb sources
Mine is just flour, water, salt, and it ferments for atleast a day before baking
Yes!!! I make it at home and it’s the only bread I’ll feed my family. It’s pretty easy to make at home you should try it!
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing!

Would love to see what a full day looks like
Been on carnivore diet loved it
More meals and day in the life of videos please
I wanna see you on JRE or Cam Hanes run lift shoot!
Thanks for the awesome video. Ive been doing keto/carnivore and maybe adding in some fruit would be a good idea. Thanks
I'm a native from Colorado, and grew up in Boulder county. For the type of diet you follow, where do you shop to find the bedt foods ?
I enjoy your videos. Keep posting bro.
What about the water refill machines at the grocery store, are those good or bad ?
Do you do a pre workout drink before your wod?
Oh wow, I didn‘t know that oats are often covered with glyphosate, did a quick research, and it seems to be true. Even in Europe where I live and where restrictions are a bit higher I assume.

What is the pan the eggs are made in?? Aluminum?
We get raw honey from my grandparents bees. You can boil it on low until it’s runny. You have to do it in small amounts. Is butter trans fat???
No butter is not trans fat, Kerry gold Irish butter is one best
@@Nofixedabode859thank you! I was always afraid of butter because I’m ignorant.

Can we get a full day of eating with lunch/dinner etc?! And timing, do you still intermittent fast for hormone health?!
Hey Josh, you said that when you got rid of eating your greens and you felt better. Were there any other correlations that might have happened at the same time? Were you eating fresh greens vs canned or even organic at the time? Did you eat more fruits to replace them, or change the quality of your meats (from proceeded or to grass fed). I do like the idea of doing the carnivore diet with the raw milk, honey, fruits etc. But I also like the hunter/gatherer bc I love my broccoli, mushrooms, potatoes, carrots and asparagus. So Josh just curious what is your occupation? Do you just train all day? What does your day look like? Helps the rest of us relate knowing since the majority of us go to an office to work. Thanks for your content!
Can we get another coffee video?
Love You brother please continue these videos
I have been slowly getting into the animal based diet. Raw honey is amazing.
Eliminated all the greens and I feel
Amazing good stuff Josh
what time do you usually eat breakfast? do you do any of that fasting stuff???
He has an earlier video on intermittent fasting. IIRC he did it for a while but it didn't fit with his training cycle at the time.👍🏻
Pleasure having breakfast with you, Josh👍💪 haha
Awesome vid. What kind of nontoxic pan was that? And what kind of water dispenser?
Looks like it’s a mountain valley spring dispenser (you rent it from their service )
Would like to see a full day of eating on this diet. Thinking about trying it.
Pay the man! 🏋️♀️🙌🏻
I know someone loves their coffee when I see La Marzocco coffee machine. Would love to see how you use It tho.
Thanks for sharing. Currently basically skipping breakfast and doing kind of intermediate fasting. Have you skipped all greens or what are you still eating when? No avocado brotha?!?! Also are you doing before and after bloodwork or any bloodwork since the change in diet?
Ive been told to only use wooden utensils in honey, metal utensils can destroy beneficial enzymes, not sure if this is true or not
Whats your LDL and ApoB?
Keen to know if you are a lean mass hyper responder with your current diet .
what's your ldl...
As Indians we eat a lot of green veggies and it keeps us healthy. I think its an individual thing, we should try and experiment as to what suits us best.
You just blew my fucking mind with the grass and tree pollen thing… I’m trying this starting today
You’ve been Paul Saladino’d. check out the consistency project with EC.
Is good dudes coffee organic??
Doesn’t raw honey have grass or tree pollen also?
The only thing that makes honey raw is not heating it during processing. "Filtered" honey, is raw honey, it takes out the debris...
What kind of Ghee do you use ?
Once a CrossFit games athlete, always a CrossFit games athlete 😂
Do you take any supplements?
Is it pretty much the same meal 3-4x a day?
Can you do a lunch/dinner video too.
That’s so much food 😂, Ill have to work my way up to that much
La Marzocco espresso machine 👌
Josh question. Why don’t you use cooking oil?
"iT's BaD fOr YoU jUsT lIkE gReEns"
Okay now be honest. Did you clean up for this video or is your house casually this organized?
You look like you have been hanging out with Paul Saladino too much lol. Would this be a diet that you would use if you were in your 20's competing full time? I feel it would be hard to get all the carbs you need for competition and training. Great content!

You feel satiated, and your body got what it needs, that’s why you don’t “crave” anything, and that butter is helping lower your stress hormone, hence the reduction in your anxiety, and meat helps with that as well! I wonder if your blood type is O!!???
