Diet is such a huge factor of fitness and overall health. I always feel better when I eat right. 2024 is the year to crush it. Got a PR last year and driving harder this year. Great video
Low fibre intake overall. A lot of supplements instead of unprocessed raw fruits and vegetables. And Meatballs with parmigiano and wheat pasta? Might have been a cheatmeal but thats not role model like in my books... @@abcycling689
If you want to run and lift I think nutrition is one of the most important aspects. You need the carbs, you need the protein, and you need green veggies. Most people don’t eat enough as it is… when I’m training for a race (running 4-5 xs a week (30-40miles) and lifting 2-3 times a week- I’m consuming a boat load of food. My coworkers ask me “how do you eat so much and stay in shape” MFR I be working!
I always say the same thing to people I work with. I’m 6’3” and right around 205lbs at around 11-12% bf. I am on my feet for at least 10 hours and walk a minimum of 6-7 miles a day at work, no breaks. Then I usually run a minimum of 3 miles after I pick my kids up and the wife gets home. Then I lift 3 or 4 days a week as well. I eat about every 3 hours and people always ask how I eat so much food. My average calories burned a day are 3700-4200. Depending on if it’s a lift/run day or just running. I’m up at 3:40 am every day and go to bed around 10-11pm depending on how tired I am. That’s the one area I need to do better but I don’t get much time to myself until the kids are in bed at 8pm so I sacrifice some sleep. As Cam Hanes says keep hammering.
I 100% agree with you, morning runs are absolutely the best. They are the nonnegotiable part of my day. The solitude and peace before a days work, and other responsibilities is priceless. I would be curious what a vegan diet would look like for you as a hybrid athlete (i'm vegan myself and it really changed my overall health the better).
I have been a subscriber and customer of BPN, since before Korea. I have to say that you and your family, ( brother and now extended family) have been inspirational to a being consistent on health and having pillars, goals and making sh$t happen. Once again, only the best and many blessings to you and yours. Duty, honor and country.
Way to shout out local stores and products you like. You know business ain’t easy and are sharing the wealth! Much love brother! Keep kickin ass! I’m right there with ya!
Hey Nick thank you for sharing your journey in life with us! I’m a Christ follower, raising my daughters, running, and trying to lead my family and it’s so encouraging to see how you live your life! May the lord bless you, your family, and your company. I want to encourage you to keep your faith in Jesus, it has helped me more than I can ever explain.
Gonna love your videos when your little one is 2-4 years old , the dreaded sleep regression will start for her (possibly) . I trained for a marathon with only a few sleepless nights in my kids early years . But at the moment mine are almost 3;and 4 and it's hard work. But it's amazing how your body adapts to broken sleep whilst training for a marathon this April.
finally motivated again after a longer period of time and actually going for 3-4 gym sessions and 3-4 runs a week now for the past 2 months. A little too motivated with the diet and my stomach is so rebellious recently cause I just ate too much every day to get on my calories... hope that this will get better soon. Nutrition is everything. Keep it up Nick
My favorite part, besides the cute kiddo, was seeing this tremendous athlete eating pasta and meatballs with his family. So many videos of guys eating chicken, rice, and broccoli in the gym or in their car. Really enjoyed the video.
Awesome to see the brand and the channel grow over the years 👍 I know it was mentioned on the podcast but will there be a video of the completion of your sleeve? 👀
Been running since November took my running more serious of November 2023 I still ran before but like only 2 times every other week which I’ve always have weight trained but I started taking running more serious in November running 3 times a week for 4 miles in 30 minutes on top of weight training and boxing 3 to 4 times a week of which I’ve for years now, but I started the new year off this year of January 1st 2024 with 5 miles in an 1 hour on top of weight training 4 times a week, the only problem I have is I don’t have a good enough app that’s free to track my running speed but I’m starting this year with 5 miles trying for 3 to 4 times week on top of weight training and boxing, lol no pre workout or supplements either I can’t afford it im as natural as it gets but gotta put in the work no matter what for my family to be in good health But I thank god for your inspiration I’ve been watching your videos like every day for 2 yrs straight it does a heart good to see a dad like you being their for your family and most importantly praying and teaching your little girl about the grace of god, I really wish I would of thought and started a fitness program or business when I graduated high school in 2017 but I would of loved to of helped people with that and help them with breathing issues and to help them have more energy because I struggled with being able to breath for a year and 3 months straight when I was a kid DIDNT have any strength in my body at all and throughout my entire life I’ve always been weak…. But thanks be to god for helping me and giving me strength to force myself to have better breathing and now thank god after all these years my energy is unbelievable and god sent you in my life and it has truly motivated me to GO ONE MORE everyday I thank god for who he has created you to be Nick. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover brethren I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you which also ye have received and wherein ye stand by which also YE ARE SAVED if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you unless ye have believed in vain, For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received how that CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS according to the scriptures and that he was buried and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.. ( If anyone believe Jesus finished all the work for their sins on the cross they are saved and as Paul says God takes the righteousness of Jesus and covers us in his righteousness and washes all our sins away with his precious blood( We’re saved and redeemed and gods child forever )
Nick, I have been a fan for over the past years, and all I can say is PROPS to you! Your hard work and dedication to your family and your running, lifting, and business are impressive and inspiring! When you let God direct your steps in life, everything else will follow. Put Jesus first and you will see how MUCH peace and love comes with it! The ending and beginning made me love you even MORE! Praying for you and your family! GO ONE MORE
My wife wife has the same morning. Non negotiable for years but I can't seem to get my ass up. So drained from work the day before. You guys are bad ass
Haven’t watched in quite a while but looking to get back into my fitness journey after a shitty 2023. I always thought you lived in Texas, Nashville though. Cool. Thanks for the inspiration and ideas.
Just watched your podcast with Mark Sisson. I’m thinking you need to explore rowing! Great overall body exercise, great cardio, strength training fits into it very well, low impact, and you have the perfect body for it. And it is very hard to do well! Surprised Mark did not recommend it.
you're such a role model and I admire the passion and dedication you put in everything you do, you have done a lot to me so now I need to do something for you: when you make pasta, once it is cooked, take it and put it the pan where the sauce is cooking, medium heat and mix all together until everything looks all mixed up and homogeneous. I'm 100% Italian and I 100% guarantee you it will take a loooooot better.
My question is, how quick are you going out to run after consuming that pre run shake? Surely you’d have to wait at least an hour for it to digest and be used for fuel on that run, no? Correct me if I’m wrong please 🙏
Loving the coors shirt! I’m new to your channel, but how do you feel about lifting/fitness and the occasional alcoholic drinks on the weekend? A lot of influencers are saying you should cut it out completely, but I disagree
I like that Charlie is doing the intros now 👍🏾

MFR I be working!
how many calories per day would you recommend for seriously gaining weight (10kg or more) - which is not only "water" but real weight?
So much facts right here
I figured around 85g protein, 500g carbs and some 80g fats per day?

so if i want/need to gain weight (at least 5-10kg) you would definitely recommend 3000-4000kcal per day for me?@@thorshammer5134
