Warming up is like saving money in a 401(k). It seems stupid when you’re young, and a waste of time. I’m 57 years old, and I very much wish I had done more of it when I was younger, but it is a part of my daily routine now whether I train or not. I wake up in the morning, I have a roller, flossing, bands, and a pull-up bar to hang from. 10 minutes to protect my mobility and health. It makes a huge difference. Every damn day.
Thank you for sharing your warm up routine. I'm getting old and I'm realizing I need to spend more time on my warm up and be very intentional with everything that I do in order to avoid pains.
Excellent Josh! Very helpful. I'm a 57 year old banged up athlete that still loves to train and play sports. Every day if possible. I've been searching for an improved warm up routine and will give this a whirl.
Im 37 my warm up takes 20 min, stretching my T band, foam rolling my legs and back, then warm my shoulders, I’m not anywhere near your level but its all about blood flow and movement, I’d love to kick ass and try and build but all i ever come up with is moderation and check your ego at the door
Cant like this one enough. At 53 I cant even think about workouts w/o a warm up. I have a routine, but will be integrating some of these to see how they fit. For me it seems to be ankles/calves/knees and shoulders
excellent routine, I always struggle on how long and what to do during warmups, this is pretty much what I do with a few extras, so I know i'm on the right track when I see a pro doing a routine, thank you for the advice
Awesome and detailed instruction, starting to feel the shoulders more w age. Warm up definitely key. Will use the banded shoulder openers you demo’d in the video 💪🏾
Do you do any warm up movements before you start the stretching? I have always been under the impression that you need to get your blood flowing before you do any type of stretching? Just curious on your take.

My god father is 70 and does the same thing everyday. His nickname is Herc! Great analogy!

70, warm up is critical as the warranty expired on this body. Opening up the shoulder with hanging has really improved my shoulder health.
Great stuff for us over 40
Thank you Josh🙏🏻

I subscribed because of this video. Great content and very relevant for me. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing brother. Will try some of this for myself and for my classes I coach 👍
Awesome, thx!

I needed this reminder and always providing the best content Josh! 💪🏼✌🏼
Thanks for the breakdown! Would like to see a video on a cool down process if you have one
Great warm up, JB!! Us "older guys" can dig into this as a full day. So, instead of the weekend off, hit this and then walk or ruck 45 minutes.
I like it man
Good stuff right here !
This is great.
How about a program plan for increasing your squat.
My power hour program has my squat program in it. It’s under the physical program
