@Jeff Lee Well this Mustang has a straight or in-line 6 cylinder engine of only 120 horsepower whereas his 2013 V6 Mustang makes 305 horsepower. In 1965 this was the standard engine very simple, reliable and easy to maintain but in the Mustang the equally reliable and more powerful 289 V8 is more desirable.

That's exactly like first car I had when I was 16. Bought it for $800 and sold it for $1100, of course that was late 1980s. That straight 6 is best running engine Ford ever made, it'll be great after tuned up. That's a great find.
Certainly looks like a nice clean little car that someone probably spent a small fortune to get in that condition Bare bones but their is a certain charm in that. I love it’s simplicity. Just a nice car to cruise around in.

It's great to see an all original interior this clean. There are many restorers these days working on Mustangs and I wish they would soak in this video because no one I know comes close to replicating the interior. There is always this mod or that mod but when are we going to find a classicist that believes that what these 65' Mustangs had was perfect and complete?
4 lug wheels. The sure sign of a Falcon Sport Coupe. Nice shape for a rust belt car. My In-laws bought one new. I never understood the 6cyl. thing. I just bought a '65 Ranchero fresh 289 4 sp. no rust needs paint for 4K. They are fun little cars. Good luck with yours.
The Mustang is immaculate, very well-kept, amazing!!!! Had a '99 Buick Park Avenue that looked like the one I saw parked behind the Stang, it got a wiring glitch that wouldn't let it crank after a year or 2 of otherwise solid driving, couldn't figure it out so I junked it. Favorite band: Theocracy Favorite car: Ford Fairmont/Mustang or the Mercury versions of said cars.

Enjoyed your video. I am a Canadian living in North Carolina near Raleigh. I have 6 of these cars. Two C Code fastbacks, one C Code convertible, one A code coupe and two 6 cylinder cars. All are projects with nothing as clean as the car you bought but enjoying playing with them. I like to make contact because I grew up a Mopar kid so don't know thr Fords as well. Always interested in learning more.

My dad had one of those, silver with a black vinyl roof. It was stolen and broken, I can still remember him coming into my room to tell me. The thieves were caught with the steering wheel in a Mk1 Transit van.

I like a lot of bands but I would have to go with the Rolling Stones. They have been rocking longer than any other band and they won't let old age stop them. My favorite car is my dad's 1933 Packard rumble seat convertible. My favorite Mustang is the 1970 sports roof. I have a 65 fastback 289 4 speed and a 67 coupe 6 cyl 3 speed. Both are cleaner than the cleanest Mustang you ever saw. The cleanest Mustang I ever saw belongs to a friend who bought his 69 Mach 1 new and still has it. But your car is nice.
Do not have a favorite band but like any classic rock 50's 60's and 70's. I too love the 69' Mustang as my favorite car. I built a concours correct fastback with a 250ci six cylinder. It actually is very rare 69' Mustang E'. Google it to see what it is. Mine pops up for about half of the pictures. Great videos you have here.
Yeah i still have my dad back when i was 16 i bought a 67 coupe 289 4bbl c4 trans with a/c and power steering. My dad had at the same time a 68 fastback 289 4bbl with a top loader 4 speed.

@@Theoldcarchannel. My friend for his first car has been restoring a 66' with the six and the automatic trans. He says the work to get in a v8 without hurting the chassis would be 20k or more. It is also getting quite rare to find one that has not been v8 swaped or trashed due to the lack of a v8. It makes it more special.

I had a 66 Coupe that was a six cylinder car and it probably cost me 2-3k to swap to a v8 with a 5spd, v8 suspension, etc. I could care less about rarity really unless were talking about a high dollar car like a cj, scj, boss, Shelby, etc. I want to enjoy the car and enjoying the car to me is hearing the rumble of a sbf through a set of flowmasters exhaust, having fun cruising in 5th gear, and driving the car hard from time to time.... it's just not the same with a 6cylinder to be completely honest

late 80's to early 90's Fox Body GT 5.0 BAND is Queen.
I have a 66 with the 200 inline 6 and 3 speed manual. I get between 25 and 28 mpg in my car. Redid my interior last summer. Great dependable cars.

Do not have a favorite band but like any classic rock 50's 60's and 70's. I too love the 69' Mustang as my favorite car. I built a concours correct fastback with a 250ci six cylinder. It actually is very rare 69' Mustang E'. Google it to see what it is. Mine pops up for about half of the pictures. Great videos you have here.
Grand funk railroad...the 66-67 Fairlane... I have a 67 I put a Cleveland in. I love the Cleveland/ boss engines.

I bypassed all that vacuum dizzy crap, and just pulled manifold vacuum and retuned from there. Runs way better now.

Yeah i still have my dad back when i was 16 i bought a 67 coupe 289 4bbl c4 trans with a/c and power steering. My dad had at the same time a 68 fastback 289 4bbl with a top loader 4 speed.

@@Theoldcarchannel. My friend for his first car has been restoring a 66' with the six and the automatic trans. He says the work to get in a v8 without hurting the chassis would be 20k or more. It is also getting quite rare to find one that has not been v8 swaped or trashed due to the lack of a v8. It makes it more special.

I had a 66 Coupe that was a six cylinder car and it probably cost me 2-3k to swap to a v8 with a 5spd, v8 suspension, etc. I could care less about rarity really unless were talking about a high dollar car like a cj, scj, boss, Shelby, etc. I want to enjoy the car and enjoying the car to me is hearing the rumble of a sbf through a set of flowmasters exhaust, having fun cruising in 5th gear, and driving the car hard from time to time.... it's just not the same with a 6cylinder to be completely honest
