I love the color combination... It just pops... My Dad had one of the earlier 1964 1/2 Mustang Coupes with 260 V8 engine and She was just a Great runner.. We ended putting a 4 barrel carb and changed the intake... I loved it So much .. I ran it through high school and college.. When I got done with school I sent it to the vocational school and the kids rebuilt the complete running gear and body needed a facelift... When it was done I gave it back to My Dad and the only thing missing was the New car smell... He was Soo overjoyed ...it was his weekend toy.. After He passed My mom wanted My Daughter to have it when She graduated from college... Its been though 3 generations...Hopefully it will go to her child someday....
Great! Best wishes to you and I hope you get a great car. I’m not sure if yours is a GT but if so you might want to watch our video on GT verification. ➡️ ua-cam.com/video/j9UzFO3V424/v-deo.html ➡️ Another resource we have is ClassicCarBuyingTips.com 👍🏻
Omg my dad sold cars when I was a teenager and he bought me a used ‘65 fastback - this exact car. I didn’t have it very long because he insisted I park it way away from everything and I was always late to class (in high school). It got a few dings and he sold it. I’m hindsight I can’t blame him.
Remarkable. I was a bit surprised when you said you were actually going to drive it, I thought it was a show car only. In 2017, to get to drive an essentially brand new 1965 Mustang, must really seem to be like gong back in time. Well done.
Had a 65 with the red pony interior back in the 70's but the red was darker than this one's. Had the rally pack, wood grain wheel, gt pack with the foglights, rear antenna, exhaust baffles in the gravel pan, white vinyl top and the 289 hi-po with the top loaded t-10 4 spd. bought it in 76 for 975 bucks.
Absolutely Gorgeous ! Stunning to me ! Thanks for taking it for a spin. What's the point of building them and having them if you are afraid to drive and enjoy it ! Thumbs Up
I have a 65 GT and it runs hot. I replaced the radiator, thermostat, a d water pump and it still runs hot. Do you have an aftermarket shroud and 5 blade fan. That is my next try on this gs to do to cool it down. Thanks
This has to be the most beautiful first gen fastback I've ever seen. Wow! And the gentleman gave a very good review on it. I want to add some corrections for the young guys that are learning. One is the reference of "Fog Lights." Fog Lights are amber or yellow. More so correct would be amber, because the yellow ones are a newer modern color. And if they're white, they're Driving Lights. So, Amber or Yellow--Fog Lights. White--Driving Lights. The other thing is when you say the word "Concours" leave off the "s" at the end. That will at least get you close to the correct pronunciation. Since Concours is a French word we American's generally don't have quite the right sound when we say it, and that's why I said leaving of the S will at least get you close. The best I can describe the pronunciation is Kun-coor, like Coors beer.
My 65 Fastback 2+2 is going from a 2 barrel to a 4 barrel. Two questions will it lose value by making switch and will it be considered a GT with upgrade?
Add the Rocker Panel Stripe,& PRESTO, U Have A GT!! My First Rod ,After Returning Home from NAM ,Was A 66 Merc.Cyclone,With Same DriveTrain. The C-4 Auto Mated to the 289 Was a Great Combo !
I always love you guys videos. I hope this question doesn't get you guys in trouble but do you think the mustangs of that era were put together better than the chevelles of that era from the factory?
Great Cars and interesting Videos!! I would have two questions. Is the engine black or Ford Engine Blue Painted and is the rear window tinted? She looks green🤔
Dual exhaust came with GT package this car did not have the GT exterior from factory. Had to be A or K code to have GT package also missing the disc brakes and correct master cylinder and compensation valve . Wrong items on fenders. Would be also missing quick ratio steering box and performance springs. Very nice car but no factory original.
I love the color combination...

My mommy had a 64 1/2 Fast Back and peeps tell me not possible? I stick by, an auto? I hate when Dudes don't believe? x.
My favorite early Mustang. Beautiful.
I HAD A 65 FORD MUSTANG 2 +2......DARK BLUE WITH WHITE LEATHER SEATING AN AUTOMATIC ON THE FLOOR. THOSE WERE THE GOOD OLD DAYS!!
Really beautiful car. I always loved the Wimbledon white with red interior combo. Nicely restored good cruiser. I’d love to have it in my garage.
Thanks!
Fantastic video !!!I'm looking at buying fully restored 65 here in Spain. Your video answered all questions I had on this baby. Thank you

I love your cars! Also the pony interior gave you the 66 dash, very nice car. Thanks Terry
Thanks Terry! Yes, I love the pony interior :) Way better dash in my opinion.

I believe these cars were made to drive and be enjoyed... so we do! It really is like a time machine :) Thanks!

Your cars and presentations are always first class!
I Love the looks of the earlier Mustang
We do too! :)
Great review on an absolutely gorgeous Mustang...stunning! Thanks for sharing.

Nice car ! Love the pony interior ! Most just have the seat covers and call them pony interior. This the real Interrior Décor Group.
Thanks!

Thank you for your service Ed. My brother Jeff was a Marine in Viet Nam 69-71.
I seen that it was marked as sold if you don’t mind me asking how much did you sell it for I have the same exact color
My 65 2+2 fastback was candy apple red with black leather interior. I miss it.
What a very nice car , I love it looks so clean... !!
I always love you guys videos. I hope this question doesn't get you guys in trouble but do you think the mustangs of that era were put together better than the chevelles of that era from the factory?
Thanks Steve! Both Chevelles and Mustangs have their strengths... however, the Chevelle was typically the more expensive car.
My dad had two or three of those when I was a kid.
Cool!
Great Cars and interesting Videos!!

Missing the sealing paddy on cowl holes for window washer tubes- every restorer misses this 50 cent item
I thought fastbacks didnt have pony interior? I'm pretty sure I'm right in this one. However beautiful car for sure.
No, fastbacks could definitely have pony interior.
Totally breathtaking. So in love with it
Beautiful car 🚗 💯👍👍👍
