Hi Schaz.. your reviews are great.. it helped me a year back when I purchased the first generation picasou ai box. It's outdated now and I feel I need to upgrade and I am confused with too many options to chose from. I have narrowed down on two device - the first one being picasou2 pro ai box (round shape) and the second one being mmb max - I really like this device and the fact that we can customize it as per our choice but I am not sure about the smoothness, lag, etc.. so I am really confused which one should I select. Also a lot depends on the processor and ram management. Please suggest. 🙏 and if there are any other devices that I should consider then let me know. Thanks and love from India.
Hi - you have asked me a difficult questions. Picasou 2 and MMB Max are two of my favorites, it's very difficult to choose one as both are really good and stable devices. My personal favorite is the MMB Max due to itws new user interface, so it comes down to your personal preference. Watch both my videos and go for the one you like

I did notice every time I get in the car it shows the connect to CarPlay and it shows the connecting screen. Also it has a bit of a lag on car play.
Are you using your personal hotspot to be able to watch any live tv ?
What provider do you use for live tv ?
Yes, I use my mobile hotspot and it works perfectly fine. I use a regional IPTV provider BigoTV

I have some questions which actually are for all carplay devices and I have not find a reply anywhere I checked:
When you are in android mode and iPhone (or Android phone) is already connected, I will be able to receive and make calls? Or I will have to switch to apple car play mode?
If I install a sim card with data plan, can the device act as a hotspot for the rest of the family phones?
It would nice if you can provide a (as much as unbiased can be done) comparison of the top 3 carplay devices. I do like that in your reviews you compare same feature same things so a head-to-head "VS" with simple things (everyday things) like boot time on average, how seamless the modes change, etc.

I will try to answer all your questions, but if you need more details, just drop me a whatsapp message.
- If your mobile is connected with the original system of your car via BT and you are in the Android system of this device then you will be able to recieve and make calls
- Another way is, dont connect it with the original system of your car. Go to the homepage of this device and from there you will find BT phone and music connection, so basically connect your mobile with the BT of the device, you will also be able to recieve and make calls this way
- 3rd option is to connect it with Apple CarPlay or AndroidAuto, this way would also allow you to make and recieve calls
If you install a data sim card to the device, it would not act as a hotspot hub for other to connect.

@@MinistryReviewsSchaz so just to make sure that I understood correctly, bt connection of any kind will work simultaneously with the android mode i.e. watching Netflix and someone calls and iPhone is paired with car play, the “source” will change to car play and be able to reply the call, or while watching Netflix if I make a call from the phone, will work again same way as in previous example?

That's correct. As long as the phone is connected with the car or the device thru BT the calling and music will work in whatever app you are in (YT, Netflix, navigation etc)

I am confused between Picasou 2 Pro and the new CarLinkit Android 12 box. I need the extra USB port which is there in Picasou 2 Pro, but CarLinkit runs a newer Android.

just use a cigarport usb charger in other ports of car!!
Major downside to this carplay ai adapter is no dual bluetooth which means you can't use a joystick for games or a remote control on an external display. The Picasou 2 Pro has this same limitation.
How is that major? Lol. Most people want to pay attention to the road.
LMAO.... You should be driving.... If it's for your kids.....get them a book. Of it's for you, youse your cell phone for gaming. Entertainment can't be all that your mind consumes. This is for a motor vehicle. Not a TV in the living room.

These devices can be used when parked or with HDMI input/output like some other CarPlay AI devices can also be connected at home to a TV to play games, watch movies, and run other apps if it had dual Bluetooth but you would need a Bluetooth remote to use it without touch screen..
This is not entirely true. I recently got the Picasou 2 Pro Box and at least the remote control G10S PRO BT (with Bluetooth) works!
I have the Picasso also . I always have to reset my unit to WiFi hot spot in car from iPhone . It doesn’t always connect. It keeps jumping back to Apple CarPlay .

Oh man, thats a difficult one. These both are really good devices. MMB has MTK chip but Picasou2 has QC chip. I personally like the interface of MMB Max

Even you can check very easily in the internet. I wrote exact question because I know that Subaru USB CarPlay wired communication has some specific things and many similar devices in the world are not operating or operating not well with Subaru Outback 2020-2022.
