Probably yes. You can install apps via Play Store or using the pre installed APK installer app. I always prefer to download apps from APK Pure to install and it works
The biggest issue with tbox plus 1.0 was the Wi-Fi card which was slow to connect to mobile hotspot. Did they upgrade the Wi-Fi card chipset for this upgraded model?
Is it OEM company fitted original carplay system, then it will work. In my videos I test these adapters in my VW ID.4 which has factory wireless carplay system
There are two ways to connect this device to internet, 1) connect the device with your mobile hotspot via wifi, 2) insert a data sim card (you can get a clone of your mobile sim card)

CarPlay is via BT only
AndroidAuto is via Wifi and BT
So if you are planning to put a SIM card then you should have no issues at all

Can you still play the (dab) car radio if you navigate with the box?
I didnt test, but I am sure the car radio will work. You will have to switch off the navigation voice

@@jt19767171 the box connects through a wireless adhoc protocol by default. Try connecting via Bluetooth too may get you the functionality.
