8 months and 10 days ago I started working on the best business idea I had ever come up with my life. I called it Explorio and it was supposed to become a travel reviews platform that rewards its users for writing travel reviews thus allowing them to fund their travels indefinitely.
As passionate as I was about Explorio, we faced some obstacles on the way that we couldn't resolve and eventually had to close down the project, netting me a loss of over $100,000 and making me the only person who lost money on this venture.
Most people seem to be ashamed to talk about their failures, but I think it's a total waste. That's why I wanted to make this video and share the biggest professional failure of mine ever since launching my first company 9 years ago.

As I am currently 25 years old but I feel like those 25 years of my life are total waste, I feel I've completely let myself down for not being more courageous in my own decisions and always being scared of failure. Today I feel like I haven't achieved anything at all. I am not happy with my life. There are so many things that I wanted do with my life, so many places that I want see with my own eyes, so many things I want to experience and on the other hand time just running away with a blink of an eye, but I wanna say Thank You for making this video, it was very helpful, your videos have always helped. Thank You. I hope we meet one day and I get to travel with you one day.

Jacob, you NEVER cease to amaze me with your videos. I've always been hard on myself whenever I've failed at something. But your message at the beginning of the video really struck a chord inside of me. Although one might not achieve his or her main goal, it's the path and effort that he or she takes that defines who they are. Life isn't always fair (such as your experience in Thailand), but it's how you combat those obstacles and stay on your feet to keep moving forward. I feel that your videos provide that message. People around the world are different in terms of different cultures or beliefs. But as you said at the end of the day, we're all just human, and I feel that everyone is good at heart. Thanks for being an inspiration to me and millions around the world!

Jacob, now I'm 2nd year student at one of UK Universities. At age of 17 I launched my company and last year I tried to launch another one, but it wasn't successful. Your videos inspire me to move forward, to achieve total financial independence, my goal is to travel around the world for one year after studies (I already visited more than 10 countries tho, but it's never enough for me). Now I even started a new start-up, which helps people improve their healthiness, I will launch it before Christmas, I'm working a lot, and my mindset started totally change just because of YOU, JACOB ! I know that I'm going to succeed in my life, because first of all, I do care about people and secondly - I want to gain new life experience as much as I can. Traveling has just become my new passion and I think will be my goal for the rest of my life. Although I’m starting late I’m now in my late 50’s, there’s no stopping me. My recent trip to Europe, meeting people locals and travelers from different parts of the world, I’ve discovered how we all can live harmoniously, develop friendship, love and with mutual respect. My only challenge is how to pursue and sustain my goal with my limited financial resources. Your video has inspired me and fueled my fire to realize my goal. Happened with me. Gave six years to a career that I eventually left. The worst part , I'm 27 right now and those six years were supposed to be my most important years to start a career. And although an year later I have recovered well from all that I went through and have started making decent money , the time I lost is unrecoverable.

I feel your pain. Im 27 too and just feel so stuck. I knew what i wanted to do was travel & work with animals but lacked confidence. Last year i finally got my animal qualification and went to amsterdam. At the end of this year everything went wrong and im back living at my mums with an injury and only working small hours... i feel like i wasted so much time in my young life with no confidence or real advice or direction that im now a complicated adult trying to figure life still. I hold my breath and hope things improve.

There are people who are so much older than you and in their 40s and still find it hard and havent found courage to quit their jobs to pursue what they love. you are still very young and have many years ahead of you.. even if you quit now or next year you still have a lifetime to start its never too late so why are you complaining? Stop looking at your past and saying how you wasted time with your young life.. start now! 27 is still very young .
