I think your channel is excellent! I don’t know why you don’t have 200,000 followers by now. Perhaps you tube isn’t pushing your channel out. I look forward to each new video. You do a great job and we love Mike!
Not me straight out laughing at Mike's "that's what she said" at 8 am while the rest of my family sleeps 🤣🤣 but seriously, great video Amanda! I think this will help a lot of people who haven't been to an auction get over their fear of them
😁 THAT WAS FUN. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A LIVE AUCTION BEFORE. I’M REALLY EXCITED TO GO TO ONE SOON. THANK YOU FOR BRINGING US ALONG, YOU GOT SOME REALLY GRAT STUFF!!
My husband uses a technique at auctions when he knows it's a piece that will go high and he wants to intimidate other buyers. He lets the bidding go for a minute or so and then yells out a high number. For instance, on the table you bid on, he would've let it go back and forth from 0-150 and then yelled out $250 to jump the number up. It intimidates people and discombobulates them somewhat and folks drop out. He usually uses that when it's an item he wants for us personally but it is helpful to keep that method in your back pocket!
That was an EXCELLENT video. Live auctions can be very intimidating but once you start getting into it they are so fun and I've met some really great people (and I've never come away from an auction without learning something new).
My goodness! I can’t believe how high the furniture sold for. In my area, they can hardly give it away. We’ve only had two onsite auctions this year. But I have two next weekend. I’m excited!
I actually bought my second house at an auction. It was crazy! They gave us a lot more time in-between bids to confer with our realtors. We ended up winning, at 1,000.00 over our agreed upon max bid. Pretty insane experience, definitely one for the memory books!
Thanks for taking us along...so much fun and excitement. Can't wait to see how you style them. I'm imagining them gorgeous at Lucketts! 😍 Congrats on your finds!
I loved everything you got awesome auction! Yes do more please. I used to go all the time but they have got so expensive I can't make enough money to make it work. But i love watching you!
I was so excited to see the sides of that brown cabinet with glass front doors. I have a 100 y.o. antique cabinet that was my great grandmas it has glass front doors and glass in the sides.
I was taken to an auction yrs ago. I was warned, don't touch your head or raise your arm unless you intend to bid! As it turned out every thing was over priced for me! Fun though! This is so interesting and fun. Thanks. Take care.
I'm surprised how much higher the furniture prices are. The finger lakes region of New York are so much less. Grew up going to auctions. It's the thrill of the hunt.
Thanks for this video Amanda, it was so helpful! Like going along with a friend to watch an auction so I'm less nervous about doing it myself. You're going to have a great show at Luckett's, I'm sure!!
On items that are for resale, I decide a price beforehand and don't go over it. If it's something that I want for my own collection, I set a target price range, then see how bad someone else wants it. If I'm a long way from home, I don't buy more than will fit in my vehicle on one trip. If I'm close to home and stuff is falling in my lap for cheap, I try not to buy more than what will take a work week to load, haul, sort and stash.
I much prefer live auctions to online auctions. I feel like I get a better price. Also, your sister's haircut looks super cute. Thanks as always for the content!
I thoroughly enjoyed that, brings back wonderful memories of when my sisters and I would attend local auctions!❤️❤️❤️Congratulations on all your wins, I was pulling for you!
This was an awesome video to say the least 💯 Thank you so much for taking us along with you and Mike, Amanda ❣️ I was literally on the edge of my seat while you were bidding lol 😜 I am a frequent flyer at the auctions in my area and I think I was more nervous for you than I have ever been bidding myself 🤣❤️
Amanda... that was a good learning experience... Waiting to see your Lucket's booth & these pieces ... when you point them out -- we'll said , " No way ! That was a piece from the auction ! .... because you've worked your magic on them & your setup .... The A& M Team 👍
Yusssss!!! Was needing a new video from you. I just have all the others on loop while studying lol. You were such a pro....made it look so easy!! #thatswhatshesaid
Auctions are my favorite! I’ll admit bidding is a bit of an adrenaline rush sometimes 😅 so gotta keep that under control. I love the pieces you scored! Also, side note, I’ve been watching your channel for about a year now and I love seeing you with Mike and how well you two go together. I’m so happy for you! Can’t wait to see how you style those cabinets!!! ❤️
Loved this video! Thanks for sharing! I miss auctions so much. They don’t seem to have them as often near me as they used to. You got some great deals!!!
Be careful stepping up on the tire of a pickup to lean into the bed to unload and load things. I slipped off, fell on the bed rail and dislocated a rib once. An aggravatingly painful mistake which resulted in an unnecessary "walk of shame" trip to the chiropractor.
I found that the auctions I went to ‘on site’ seemed to go higher than ‘in house’ auctions- not sure why. It might have been that there were just so many more items at ‘in-house’ auctions people weren’t having that frenzy phenomenon going on which caused bids to go up- or inside there was more of a calmness and people were sitting down- whatever the case- it always seemed to tip towards fairer prices and I stopped going to anything but my favorite ‘in house’ auctions that I knew would be worth my time.
We're still not having live auctions in my area. I hate the online ones, too high on everything. I was going to ask if you felt the furniture went higher than you wanted but then you mentioned Luckett's and that makes sense since I'm assuming you'll have some good mark ups? Great deal on the glass fronted piece!
This is a very awesome and informative video Amanda! You won some really cool things!! I’m jealous of that table and the cabinet with the glass doors! SO SO SO jealous! I don’t know how you do it!!! I can understand selling lots of the items you source, but I would have such a hard time letting a few of the items you have found go.
I would love to have the metal table it looks amazing, can see that in a rustic kitchen as a kitchen table our island. Thank you for sharing, cannot wait to see the restoration process on this pieces. I miss Vlogmas and more content! Maybe do more videos like this just vlogs, buying and restoration vids. Keep up with the good work! :)
Elizabeth the Michigander, raised in New Market, Virginia- great video- especially the mountains 😘. The Stonewall sign was my high school. What town were you kids in. Elizabeth
loved the video, and I'm normally not this person but...gesture (as in sign by way of a movement ie raised hand) not a jester, a jester is sort of like a clown
I honestly surprised at how much this furniture is going for. Seems high to me but I'm sure it depends on the area. Plus in my area, all the auctions charge 18 to 20% buyers premium cash or charge
I participate regularly in 2 online auctions in Houston. I like that I am not influenced (as much) by the bidding process. I know what I'm willing to pay for something (ROI) and if the price goes over my budget, I move on to the next item in my "watch list". I go and pickup the items I've purchased in 1-3 days. Before the auction starts I have 3-5 days to review pictures, measurements, and other details about the items for sale. It sure saves on driving time (gas prices) and the auctions I participate in have very nice and quality items. I highly recommend bidding in my comfy chair at home! ; )
NOTE: I thing I forgot to mention when I was handing out tips: DON’T go over a price that you are not comfortable spending when bidding on an item!
That’s the hardest part with the frenzie and excitement 😂😂😂
🫣
learned SO MUCH from this video, loved mike's tip on bidding on something low to get the nerves out
I think your channel is excellent! I don’t know why you don’t have 200,000 followers by now. Perhaps you tube isn’t pushing your channel out. I look forward to each new video. You do a great job and we love Mike!
This was GREAT! You answered so many questions. Thanks for just taking us with you and walking through the process beginning to end!
ALSO “Gesture” NOT “jester”
Not me straight out laughing at Mike's "that's what she said" at 8 am while the rest of my family sleeps 🤣🤣 but seriously, great video Amanda! I think this will help a lot of people who haven't been to an auction get over their fear of them
You have the best family! Love how you support one another!
As always I loved every single thing you got, especially that brown cabinet with glass inserts in the doors. That's just chefs kiss!
Love auctions. Enjoyed the video very much. Another tip, don't let competiveness with someone else tempt you into spending more money that you should.
😁 THAT WAS FUN. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A LIVE AUCTION BEFORE. I’M REALLY EXCITED TO GO TO ONE SOON. THANK YOU FOR BRINGING US ALONG, YOU GOT SOME REALLY GRAT STUFF!!

We like Mike, but we love Amanda! Great video!
I love that metal table with faux turned legs.
At the price she paid I'd have to sell it for $1,200. Get it in the right market and you could probably get that for it.
Saturday morning, day of, sipping coffee and watching you bid☺️ couldn’t enjoy this more lol
My goodness! I can’t believe how high the furniture sold for. In my area, they can hardly give it away. We’ve only had two onsite auctions this year. But I have two next weekend. I’m excited!
Take all the furniture for free and sell them for high prices in other cities. Problem solved!
I agree with you on the high prices! My area they would be much lower also.
Great video!! Mike's swagger walk to the truck cracked me up 😂
I actually bought my second house at an auction. It was crazy! They gave us a lot more time in-between bids to confer with our realtors. We ended up winning, at 1,000.00 over our agreed upon max bid. Pretty insane experience, definitely one for the memory books!

Awesome Tips Amanda! Your videos are so informative!
I loved everything you got awesome auction! Yes do more please. I used to go all the time but they have got so expensive I can't make enough money to make it work. But i love watching you!
Amanda your market must be alot better than where I am. Those prices wouldn't leave any room for reselling here.
I was so excited to see the sides of that brown cabinet with glass front doors. I have a 100 y.o. antique cabinet that was my great grandmas it has glass front doors and glass in the sides.
This is a super fun video. Thanks for taking us along!

I hope u show us what you do with them. (makeovers)
You’ve got a great family!!
More Auctions please . Great advice
Love love love auctions!!!!
That table at the end was the best! I was squirming in my chair hoping you would win it! Yes indeed! Awesome video!!
Your confidence was inspiring!
I'm surprised how much higher the furniture prices are. The finger lakes region of New York are so much less. Grew up going to auctions. It's the thrill of the hunt.
Oh, I Love Auctions and Estate Sales.😍👏🏻✨ So many treasures!
Thanks for this video Amanda, it was so helpful! Like going along with a friend to watch an auction so I'm less nervous about doing it myself. You're going to have a great show at Luckett's, I'm sure!!

You two are the cutest ever!
Where have you been ? So glad to see a new video...
Loved watching , I would be nervous , even with your advise and Mikes tip
Wow! You got some good stuff. Thanks for the video.
That was so fun to watch! You are SO COOL!!!
I much prefer live auctions to online auctions. I feel like I get a better price. Also, your sister's haircut looks super cute. Thanks as always for the content!
Can't attend live auctions in your pajamas, unless you want people awkwardly staring at you.
Amanda, you inspire.
Great to see. Keep up the good work and keep the vids coming. So interesting.
I thoroughly enjoyed that, brings back wonderful memories of when my sisters and I would attend local auctions!❤️❤️❤️Congratulations on all your wins, I was pulling for you!
Enjoyed the auction with you and Mike. It looks like you two share in the fun. That is wonderful.
Great metal table.
you got confidence way to go!
The small table with the bobbin legs! love it!
👏👏👏 That was fun. So happy you got the metal table super cool piece.
Loved this video...so excited to see each piece get cleaned, painted?, and styled in the booth. Cannot wait for the next auction.

This looks both fun and stressful 😄
I'd lose my mind around all the furniture!!😍Sooo good!
This was so interesting! I’ve never been to an auction before, so this was really cool to see. thank you for taking us! ☺️
Amanda... that was a good learning experience... Waiting to see your Lucket's booth & these pieces ...
when you point them out -- we'll said , " No way ! That was a piece from the auction ! .... because you've worked your magic on them & your setup .... The A& M Team 👍
I almost choked on my fruit that I was eating when Mike came out with some "that's what she said" 😅🤣😅🤣😅
Yay!! My Thursday became even better!! ☺️ Thanks for the video Amanda and congratulations on your new home!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this auction video. Learned a few things too. It’s so nice to see you again.
Love that yu got those cabinets I would have do e the exact same thing, yah
Yusssss!!! Was needing a new video from you. I just have all the others on loop while studying lol. You were such a pro....made it look so easy!! #thatswhatshesaid
Very interesting, thanks for the tips.
Exciting!!
Great video! Thank you
You mean 'gesture', Darlin'. Great info and exciting!

Hey would you ship the metal table to the U.K.
That was fun! What great finds! I wish we had auctions but it’s not really a thing here unfortunately. You have really great taste!
Awesome video! Thank you for the tips, that glass door cabinet is beautiful!
Wow looks like it could be a cute house fixed up.
I love going to auctions!

loved the video, and I'm normally not this person but...gesture (as in sign by way of a movement ie raised hand) not a jester, a jester is sort of like a clown
Thats what she said😂😂😂Great finds❤
What FUN !!!!
Great video ✌️
So fun!
This was so interesting. Thank you!
WUuua uu. nice items. I like everything you get
Great furniture!!!!!!!
Whew! That auction had your name on it! Why the heck did all those other people show up?🤔
That's funny and perfect!
I honestly surprised at how much this furniture is going for. Seems high to me but I'm sure it depends on the area. Plus in my area, all the auctions charge 18 to 20% buyers premium cash or charge
Can you please explain #1 what is a buyers premium? Does that mean you pay more than you bid?
Yes, whatever percentage is set.
I think I just learned something very valuable! If I am tax exempt, I don't pay those buyer's premiums?
You still pay them but the savings on sales tax may offset the premium.
@@sbherring3223 thank you! That makes sense!!
I like the little fuzz on Mikes chin
I spend too much money at in person auctions. I just get caught up in the moment.
Ooo...Furniture was pricey!
I participate regularly in 2 online auctions in Houston. I like that I am not influenced (as much) by the bidding process. The word is "gesture" not " jester". Jester is similar to a clown in medieval times. Just so you know in the future- no harm meant!🙃
you look like you're on Route 11....it's so pretty out there
Gesture
ughhhh...Amanda!! you are giving away the secrets.
I will not feel sorry for you when you complain about auctions getting too high!!
DRn You!!!
