Im not gonna lie, Asura fighting gods because he refuses to bow or pray to another or be prayed to. Refuses to let injustice stand, And most importantly, He will let no one make his daughter cry. Genuinely one of the coolest themings
This game's audio direction was spot on. They used this song perfectly at just the right times, and hearing that melody just pounds so much emotion into me. It reminds me of all the big moments whenever I hear it, and brings the feelings of those scenes back each time it plays.
the berserk profile pic fits pretty well and I just noticed the first AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH is actually YOUR NAME
After 12,500 years of rage, pain, sadness, and loss, Asura willingly DIED, giving up any chance he had to make up with his daughter, or even spend one, normal day with her. He wanted to end her pain and sadness so bad, he DIED. Without even a second thought. That..........is devotion.
Asura. Literally the embodiment of the combination of infinite vengeful fury and undying righteous determination. With both of those things in the right fists and put to the best use, a person can go to the ends of the earth and back.
Asura is a fucking Mans Mans. Most Game Protagonists take days to cope with the deaths of their loved ones while sulking around before getting encouragement from their friends. Asura didn't do that. He got right back up and got angry. Not giving two fucks about why he was angry. He just knew one thing. He had to go and kick some Seven Deity Ass. and what caused this 12,000 years of anger? It wasnt because of all the lives that were lost. It wasn't because he was framed. It was because they made his daughter cry. He was driven by the desire to make Mithra happy again. And in order to do that he had to fight The entire world and a fucking GOD. And he did. OOOHHHHH he did. He shoved his fists down their fucking throats and saved his daughter. then like a fucking Badass he left. Earning a long deserved rest. Rest In Peace Asura, You Glorious Bastard.
Video games rarely give me chills. This one did. A lot. This amazing music playing, along with the raw emotion Asura portrays as he battles to the death to honor his family.
The violins at 2:34 hit me like a truck every time. It never ceases to amaze me how hard Capcom dropped the ball on this game, a playable shonen anime with a guy wrenchingly beautiful soundtrack, and strip out all of the combat potential that could have been a successor to DMC. And to lock the real ending behind on disc dlc?! They had gold on their hands and they blew it and it hurts 😭
The game is one of a kind. And of course it's very underrated, as with almost all good things. Years will pass, but this game will be remembered. As remembered ICO, or Shadow of the Colossus.
This game...THIS GAME....THIS GOD DAMNED GAME IS SO BEAUTIFUL. THE ANIMATION, THE STORY, MY STILL BEATING HEART THAT GOT TORN OUT OF MY CHEST. ITS SO BEAUFTIFUL.
that moment in which Asura launches in his ship to face Chakravartin and you already know that he is not going to survive, that accompanied with this music leaves a unique sensation, this game is one of those few that one does not want to end never and when they do they leave a bittersweet feeling. These types of games (Bayonetta, ICO, Asura's wrath, Shadow Of The Colossus, MGS) are some of the best the video game industry has to offer. They convey the sensations and emotions to the player so well that it should be worth studying, I want to play more games like this.
I haven't played this game since it's original release and yet this song, as well as the rest of the unique game has stuck within my mind still. Beautiful piece of art
R.I.P Asura that man who had anger to stop a worthless and unjust cause. to fight for what he thought was right. for his daughter and wife. the badass that stopped many things due to his wrath, he even destroyed the so called "cause"
The game is badly hurt by the fact that the true ending is on disc DLC... stupid move from capcom along with Tekken x Street Fighter. The producer of this game left Capcom years ago too. A definitive edition is very unlikely to happen... its so sad. Another thing is that the creator went all out with the first boss battle and every single battle after that doesn't have the impact from the very first boss final moment. The game was more a playable anime than a game but still awesome in his own way. Sadly this is stock at the PS3 era and is not possible to play even a physical copy of it on PS5 these days :(.
The guy who picked In Your Belief to be Asura's theme must have gone to the same school of character writing that produced the person who composed Guts' theme. Just spot-on understanding of how Asura and his entire journey went.
"I understand it all now! The true reason for my wrath! I could not stand it! There is always some fool who wants to rule the world! Always forcing others to do what they cannot do for themselves! That's why... I pray to no one! Nor will I be prayed to! But... above all else... I will never forgive you... for making MY DAUGHTER CRY!"
In the end he was a father who risked his life numerous times to make sure his daughter could live a life he wanted her to have, he ended the people he thought as friends but little did he know they’d betray him A father and a savior all together, may his after life be fulfilling
A man who lost his family and friends and everything and betrayed by the gods themselves but just have a small hope to live so he decided to revenge against the whole world and the gods ...what a masterpiece game
I just finished playing this hidden gem of a game and god it was a great. I'm already late and no one else seems to talk about this game anymore with all the new gen gaming shit, man if only I found this gem sooner back then....
Asura's Wrath is such a good game man. With the ungodly high levels of hype and crazy scaling paired with the genuine emotions about a man who lost damn near everything and as a result uses his unending wrath to end the cruel world that made his daughter cry.
When playing the full game you may think Asura is a fuckhole but he saved many lives killing the seven dietes, the seven dietes wasted lives to kill Asura... He also wasn't only fighting for his daughter he was fighting for his wife and people.. Don't mess with this dad.. He isn't that bad
Man. It’s been a while since I played this game, but this was an experience I won’t forget. The emotion in the soundtrack, how every step keeps on fast motion, yet with subtle and inspiring moments, specially during the fight with his master. This song really transmits heavy emotion, and I love it. Rest In Peace,Asura.

Stay strong my friend! There is always calmness after a storm
Quite easily one of the best games of 2012, without a shadow of a doubt.
One of if not THE best game that came out in 2012.
Evan Czarkowski Not to be a buzzkill, but I have to disagree.
It's definitely one of the greatest video game stories I've ever seen, but the game itself isn't that good. (You're more the spectator than the player) If this was an animated series, I think it would be appreciated way more.
Chyunman 98 true as a vedio game it is rather bland but as a story it is one of the best things ever.
As a story, yes. This is one of my favorite game stories ever. I don't think the whole story is actually executed that well, but I find all the idea to be interesting and all the action to be incredibly funny and exciting.
Ah well...
I can hear him screaming...
***** omg i literally shed a man tear at that part. Such a great ending
But in the end... he accomplished the impossible, and because of that, made his daugther smile again. He died the most relieved and happy death he could ever wish for
+KrimzonFlygon1 I SMELL him screaming...
Eragonvb ....thanks for that , Krillin.
KrimzonFlygon1 The sound of a soul torn in two....
You, a man who carried much hate within his heart.
You, a man who thought his hatred would never disappear until finding love.
You, a man who had a child when others thought otherwise.
You, a man who thought his life was complete..
You, a man faced with a tragedy of being framed for a priests death..
You, a man who holds his wife's corpse within his hands.
You... a man betrayed by his brothers and sisters in arms..
You..... a man who was unable to save his precious daughter from their clutches..
You...... a man falling from the heavens casted with the shadow of lies and frames..
You........ a man whose once thought rage disappeared returns.. but this time to save the only thing he has left..
You......... a man who keeps fighting with the rage within your for so long.. forgetting what truly caused it..
You........... a man who has a burning urge that he must keep pressing on, for there is something he must save..
You, are Asura.. now let your wrath guide you.
Goodbye Mantra Asura
Holy fuck that was inspiring
Beautiful,
We’re with you Asura
Fuck, I read that in sync with the music and I cried. Dammit
Gameplay: 7 out of 10
Story, Artwork and Music: Win out of 10
+Dustin D (demonzr2007) Well you shouldnt go into this game for just gameplay. Think of it as an experiance. Or an interactive anime done really right
+Dustin D (demonzr2007) Well you shouldnt go into this game for just gameplay. Think of it as an experiance. Or an interactive anime done really right. Note: i know you love the game, im just saying i would never give it a "Gameplay" score. Cause most of the time your to engrossed to care XD
+Dustin D (demonzr2007) I'd say more 4/10 for the gameplay.
@@evanczthehunter57 No a 5.3/10 (gameplay wise) 'cause... difficulty is there !
@@gonhunter3994 It's not that hard. Yasha and the final boss (in his final form) are harder then the others, but still not realy difficult.
Save the world by turning the souls of humans into Mantra? Was that the best you could think of? You and your worthless cause?!! How dare you make Mithra suffer for your own gain!! You will pay!!"--To Deus
"I don't know how to save the world. What I do know is if I save Mithra this hell will finally end!!"--To Deus
"I am nothing like you!"--To Augus
"You talk too much!!"--To Wyzen
"You think too much!"--To Yasha
"I will destroy you and your so called world!!"--To Chakravartin
"There is no need for gods that only take, for gods of death!!"--To the Seven Deities
"12,000 years and nothing has changed!!"--Asura after returning to Gaia from death
"(Laughs) He is the one..He is the reason for it all!!! You..You're the one I should kill!"--To Chakravartin
"Then I will break everything! Including this living hell!" -- to Yasha, after the statement "You are a fool that only know how to break things!"
"You idiot...You were always a brother, never an enemy."--To Yasha after his death
"I don't know what to do when she cries. The best I can do is punch anyone who makes her cry."--To Durga (about Mithra)
*"I understand it all now! The true reason for my wrath! I could not stand it! There is always some fool who wants to rule the world! Always forcing others to do what they cannot do for themselves! That's why I pray to no one! Nor will I be prayed to! But above all else I will never forgive you for making my daughter cry! This is your end!!"--To Chakravartin*
"I..I couldn't bear to see you suffer. No more crying. Smile. My wrath... is finally... gone. Durga...I'll be home...soon."--To Mithra (Last Words)
These lines were epic and touching.
thanks for that
I remember that whole bit
Mantra Asura that last one got me in the feels
These quotes find their mark and hit real deep, again as always there is that peculiar feeling of tightness in the centre
I can hear his screams...
hell, every once in a while i still hear his tormented screams in my head.
I only hear the screams of a man who is devoured not by his power but by the pain, anger and hatred. Sorry guys for my grammar, im just expressing my thought 😢
Screams of sorrow that become roaring cries of anguish and rage...
What a chilling, terrifying and saddening scene.
For someone who puts the Hulk and every DBZ Saiyan to shame to the term "You wouldn't like me when I'm angry!", he sure has an incredibly calm theme song.
True.
have you heard the incredible hulk theme song the lonely man ? that's pretty calm as well
Fair.
His other theme is "Asura Unleashed"
kakaronicthemaximum1 well this story is about asura getting rid of that anger so it makes sense
This song is kind of like a “If you know, you know” kinda thing! If you’ve actually, TRULY beaten the game, this song just makes tears fall endlessly!
Anybody gets the shivers every time this theme plays? Goddamn this is good.
Every. Single. Time.
Too much feels ...
this song is: In your belief
And in so many other times in the game...
goosebumps man... goosebumps
Asura goes Berserk... achievement unlocked *Heads will roll* !!!
GUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!
the berserk profile pic fits pretty well
and I just noticed the first AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH is actually YOUR NAME
You forgot to add a father's love.
Asuras Wrath turns 12 years old tomorrow and it was absolutely ahead of it’s time. Had it came out now a days, it would’ve gained a lot of praise
I love playing as Asura in UMVC3 and hearing this theme play when both of my characters are down.
I know right? It feels like the most rage-fueled comeback is going to happen!

Amazing game definitely need to come PC or at least the current gen console to witness this masterpiece
Yus... ;-;
Agreed ;-;
why you do this ;_;
TOO MUCH CRYING EMOTES ;-;
hold me ;_;
Video games rarely give me chills.
For a title like Asura's Wrath, this song is surprisingly relaxing, I'm easily chilled out while listening to it.
Dude this song is only in sad times
“My Wrath is Finally-“ 0:45-
0:54”Gone”-Asura God of Wrath
We won’t forget this game...
Every time I hear this song I want to cry.
I cri evrytiem
I can't help but cry when I hear this
No more crying... Smile
+Voidgamer290 And I thought I was the only one :'(
Your picture says other wise
I swear, this one of the most awesome yet incredibly underrated games of all time
asura is a true hero and true mantra
My wrath is finally gone
This game is capcom's most hidden gem imo.
The game is one of a kind. And of course it's very underrated, as with almost all good things. Years will pass, but this game will be remembered. As remembered ICO, or Shadow of the Colossus.
Asura is the powerful gaming character of the gaming history
This game...THIS GAME....THIS GOD DAMNED GAME IS SO BEAUTIFUL. THE ANIMATION, THE STORY, MY STILL BEATING HEART THAT GOT TORN OUT OF MY CHEST. ITS SO BEAUFTIFUL.
Just beat this game for the first time today and this is an underrated masterpiece. It really sucks that not many people know about it.
that moment in which Asura launches in his ship to face Chakravartin and you already know that he is not going to survive, that accompanied with this music leaves a unique sensation, this game is one of those few that one does not want to end never and when they do they leave a bittersweet feeling. These types of games (Bayonetta, ICO, Asura's wrath, Shadow Of The Colossus, MGS) are some of the best the video game industry has to offer. They convey the sensations and emotions to the player so well that it should be worth studying, I want to play more games like this.
I doubt CAPCOM will ever be able to create something as crazy as Asura's Wrath again.
This game . . . It's truly one-of-a-kind. A modern-day Epic.
just get CC2 back on it again, i'm sure they could do it
For those who played it know that this game is a legend. And for those who haven't, I suggest you do.
I haven't played this game since it's original release and yet this song, as well as the rest of the unique game has stuck within my mind still. Beautiful piece of art
_”There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man.”_
[No Words Can Describe]. [How Beautiful This Is].......
Such an underrated game... It had such potential
Game was so underrated, beautiful story, beautiful soundtrack, and amazing characters, i really hope we get a remastered version on next gen
And strongest protagonist in the game
Asura 😎👊💪💪💪
After anger subsides, there is peace.
A chaotic tranquil if I say so myself.
R.I.P Asura that man who had anger to stop a worthless and unjust cause. to fight for what he thought was right. for his daughter and wife. the badass that stopped many things due to his wrath, he even destroyed the so called "cause"
Asuras Wrath ages so well, just started it yesterday. The art style and music are stunning even in 2024.
Capcom needs to remaster this game for Steam and current consoles. It should not be locked away on the PS3
The guy who picked In Your Belief to be Asura's theme must have gone to the same school of character writing that produced the person who composed Guts' theme. Just spot-on understanding of how Asura and his entire journey went.
There so much pain in his wrath that you literally can feel it and that hurt very much.
Such a gutpunch only finding out about this game as of recently.
How did i not find this gem as a kid back on ps3???
This song totally captures this character, I love it
"I understand it all now!
"As the skys turn to black and a deafening silence consumes the world, only then will humanity's wrath cease."
~Your average human being.
So many years has passed winced I played this and …. I still brings me to tears of joy yet sorrow
In the end he was a father who risked his life numerous times to make sure his daughter could live a life he wanted her to have, he ended the people he thought as friends but little did he know they’d betray him
A father and a savior all together, may his after life be fulfilling
A man who lost his family and friends and everything and betrayed by the gods themselves but just have a small hope to live so he decided to revenge against the whole world and the gods ...what a masterpiece game
The game is about rage and wrath, but its also about love.
Asura might be wrath embodied, but his anger is tempered by love and wisdom
I just finished playing this hidden gem of a game and god it was a great. I'm already late and no one else seems to talk about this game anymore with all the new gen gaming shit, man if only I found this gem sooner back then....
Even back then it was never talked about
2024, and this Capcom masterpiece is still getting the recognition it deserves
...what did you do... Tell me what you've *DONE WITH HER!*
ARGGGGGGGGGGGH!
You will have to make me
oh i will i will time to start mashing buttons like a mad man
lol vegeta
Asura's Wrath is such a good game man. With the ungodly high levels of hype and crazy scaling paired with the genuine emotions about a man who lost damn near everything and as a result uses his unending wrath to end the cruel world that made his daughter cry.
"And that's how..my father lived."
This game is so underrated ☹️ one of my favorites
When playing the full game you may think Asura is a fuckhole but he saved many lives killing the seven dietes, the seven dietes wasted lives to kill Asura... He also wasn't only fighting for his daughter he was fighting for his wife and people.. Don't mess with this dad.. He isn't that bad
who actually thinks hes a bad person ?
please dont use the word badass just please (ಥ﹏ಥ)
Kuruoshiki Oni hate that word
(ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻
So angry, so sad.... the truest form of the wrath of despair
And the father of the year award goes to
Asura
Don't know how I came here, but this music is beautiful!
Only song I ever heard that functions whether the character is sad, happy, or enraged. A true classic!
He deserves to get a special episode in the Naruto Storm games. He's just too awesome! I don't want him to be forgotten
he'd probably wreck everyone in naruto.
asura killed several demi god before his power up as mantra asura, those guy were way stronger than any person in naruto.
cyberwolfy37 Wouldn't say that. At the end of the Naruto manga they face opponents that could probably beat some of the lower gods. Maybe even beat someone like Augus, or at least give him a good time.
Afro Samurai when asura faced augus, he was at least at the level of gai sensei when he released all the gate. so yeah maybe amuse augus for a second or two before getting turned into a planet kabob
Tony14Stark Naruto Storm 4 should make Asura a secret final boss after Kaguya, and his awakening form should be the berserker form.
I got another idea. How about he gets a appearance in god of war? Where he, Asura, gets to fight Kratos.
r.i.p...asura...he die in a blaze of glory
Spoiler, please... I just bought the game...
Nick Fury Thats what you get for looking down in the comments. And no, he didn't die in a blaze of glory, he died after destroying the creator of everything.
David Borrell i know that but it sounds more cool
David Borrell I wanted to read comments about the music, not the ending of the game. The video isn't "Asura's Wrath ending", is it?
And why dou you explain the way Asura dies, you try to spoil me? Fortunately, I finished the game.
David Borrell Good job.
Thanks for reminding me how good this song is, Myth.
"Durga... I'll be home, soon..."
IM NOT CRYING OKAY?
C'mon Capcom , Everybody is waiting for the REMAKE or atleast a REMASTERED version for PS4,PS5,Xbox Series,PC.
this game needs to have a remaster.
YES
And a sequel
