If you have a 2005-2015 tacoma the stock headlights are specifically designed for halogen bulbs. They're a reflector lens style which is only meant for halogen bulbs because LED/HIDs output light differently. Here is a link to a tacomaworld post where a guy tested everything and showed all his data, I did the headlight upgrade wayyyy back when I bought my truck and can highly recommend it. www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-ultimate-headlight-upgrade-h4-not-led-or-hid.398066/

why are leds bad in the headlights? I have had no issues at all with mine nor any issues resulting from having them in.
