That is on clean install. Always good when a pro says you should wear safety gear and just keeps on going with it 😋 The angel eyes do fit the housing very well. Just a oem look 💯

Started watching your videos during your December spike because I stumbled across the opening and resealing vid. I'm planning on opening mine soon once I decide on all the parts. I started watching all I could almost immediately. I love your videos and the work you do. You put a lot of effort into getting the all the hows, whats, and whys answered and I've yet to find a video I couldn't easily understand or follow. I'm fascinated with lights and have been since I was little. The mods you do and builds you create are exactly what I like, clean and OEM looking while being absolutely stunning. Maybe one day I'll follow my dream of doing this kind of stuff, until then I'm going to keep watching and tinkering with little projects to practice. Keep it up man 🤙

Hey Chris, your tutorials and attention to detail are without a doubt the best. I am very handy and have always been a DIY guy for many years. I have a 2005 Lexus GX470 with some terribly hazed over headlights. Ive already tried the sanding with different grit sandpaper and clear coat, but it does not last very long. I went ahead and pulled the trigger and bought new OEM sport headlights and was ready to install this weekend,, Im really digging the Angel Eyes option, but really skeptical (scared) on opening a brand new set of headlights and adding these Angel Eyes. Can I bring you headlights and you handle all that is needed to install ?

Ahh I did a 3000GT too! He wanted this "robo mod" he called it and he wanted his whole inner bezel removed. It actually came out kinda cool.

@@flyryde i got 2011 challenger and last year i did a complete headlight swap from halogen to HID with halos and those halos are starting to burn out so now im thinking of adding new halos with 2switch backs..

Great video. I like how you break it down "Barney-style," for those of us who've never opened up a headlight housing before. I am still undecided as whether to go with Demon or Angel eyes on my 2018 Silverado 2500HD. From your experience, which would you consider to be the "safest" route, considering this would be a DIY project on a daily driver? Aside from patience and paying attention to detail, do you have any other tips for a first-timer? Thank in advance.

How do you figure out what size to get.? Do you go a 1/2 inch larger than the diameter? I’m trying to find some for my fog lights and don’t know which ones to get.
Danyo in general a 3” lens is a full size projector, which will work great with 80mm. 2.5” lenses on smaller projectors use 70mm, like MH1 projectors, and then really little guys like the LED projectors on GTR low beams are 60mm. Some projector shrouds look better when using a bigger ring that suites it’s shape better than just using the logic above based on lens size. So that Genesis Coupe shroud is actually a 90mm.

Hey buddy, I'm trying to install an angel eyes in a VW T3 but I've ordered a 163mm complete angel eyes and the led driver but does not work, I tryed everything even directly to the battery and nothing happens... The led driver output is 900v 25hz... I though I did ordered wrong? Could you help me?

Can you cut angel eyes if they’re a complete circle
Is OK to use the retrorubber right out of package without needing to warm it up before applying it to the headlight. Then pop the headlight in the oven to warm up the butyl to soften it before popping the lense back on.
Kenny Man it might be a little easier warmed up, but in the end all that matters is how it seals. I’ve lost lots of skin to rubber butyl and working with gnarly stuff that beats up your hands. If you have a little trick to make it easier on you, by all means, do it 👍
You say pre-tinned wire. But I can’t find this stuff anywhere online for sale. I’m at a stand still with my personal build until I can find the stuff you made the anchors with. Any help would be awesome in tracking it down! Also, I’ve got the switchbacks. Not RGB. Don’t know if the mounting tabs are the same diameter.
chris if your still doing this .... i have a 04 harley , the led setup is spotty i want to pull the plastic and do a new install brighter and no spotted light its a wrap around setup old guy doing this... so what type LED can give me a smooth but bright look , and do i need resistors and stuff i want plug and play . not looking for muliti light just a clean bright solid

I have question, I did my first install with the rgbw 7" halo eyes from jdm on my wife's jeep and the install ended up coming out perfect thanks to your videos.. so thank you. However, 3 days after it was done the halos stopped working, they are frozen on purple and they come on as soon as the acc comes on cause thats how I wired it but then the rf remote won't do anything... can't turn off, change colors or programs, nothing. I'm wondering if because I mounted what I believe are the drivers for each light in the engine compartment if they maybe got to hot but I'm don't know. So is there a way because the halos are ready there that I can change the drivers and make them Bluetooth and all that good stuff and if so what would I need? Thanks in advance.

Hi Chris, How do you decide on what controller to use? Do you just select a kit from a vendor that closely matches what you are planning on doing and then mod it from there to fit the car? Thanks for the videos BTW.
Marc Smith hey Marc! I just use what I love to use on everything. I more or less use my gut about what makes the most sense, after taking into account what other pro builders are reporting. There’s such a crazy high failure rate (from a builders perspective) on some of these new “better” parts, but there’s also profit that comes along with the headache of helping customers get warranties items etc. I’ll pass on the profit, avoid the problems, and use what I know will last and keep my customers happy. Not a fanboy of anyone, but there are some real gems hidden in the product lines of the various manufacturers 👌

You just wire em up 👍 just cause the connectors aren’t the same doesn’t mean you can’t make a simple wire connection manually without em 👌

Love the video, I have been looking on retrofitting my civic si and I’m not sure what kind of wires to use to make it white when the car turns on. I know you said it in the video but i cannot find anything.

It's not the wires that determine the colors, its HOW its wired. If you take a white wire and connect it to a module that sends a "yellow" signal through, the light will be yellow because that's what its told to be. You can use ..(take this with a grain of salt).. almost any wire to do your wiring. You need to send the right signal through it if you want a certain affect. To put it in layman's terms:
--module sends a color signal
--wire moves the signal between module and light
--light will become the color in the signal

hey flyeride! awesome video as per usual, quick question for you though, I've done a projector retrofit, I chose to opt for a shroud that has an angel eye in it, I then ordered and installed RGB rings, pretty simple install as it had the clips in the same place as the standard white ones did, they were some Chinese angel eyes and some colours dont work on the angel eye & some LEDs within a certain colour won't work on an individual halo, could this be the driver or the halo itself?
Sayhim Ali super tough to say without knowing the parts, but in my experience, cheap RGB rings generally have LEDs that will stop fully functioning, which means you get 3 LEDs not doing the same as the rest of them.

Hot glue CAN FAIL and is fussy. Use screws if you want to remove it later

Hey Chris, what do you think about (give this a quick search on google) "ve commodore custom headlights"? Do you think if I sent you a set of headlights you could do something the same but more unique? Alot of people over here have the same ones (most of them using the same app, meaning alot of random people can just change them when they walk past, kinda annoying.) Alot of them installed by a company called spectrum. I've made my own on my car but one of the red rings dont work which is kind frustrating. I'm looking at getting them redone. I rarely take custom builds, and almost never from far off unless it’s GTR related (my specialized niche). I’d much rather help you source the goods to build yourself something awesome. I believe Spectrum has some parts on the way to me now actually.
