Wow, I would love to have Trails like that to ride on, Nothing like that here in MI. Just bought a 2021 Grizzly 700 this year and getting back to riding after about a 30 year absence since my old 3-Wheeler and Dirt Bike Days. Definitely need to get out West and explore some Beautiful Mountain Trails.
I sure feel blessed, there’s tons of great riding out here. Just need to find the time to explore more often. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy your new Grizzly. My friend has a deposit on one that was supposed to arrive in December. We’re excited to get it and get out on the trails.
Awesome video! Nicely edited! Excellent scenery! 0:05 - You're going to have to get some fancy rims now to keep up with the Jones😉😂. That's a beauty looking KQ! The Suzuki's are excellent machines & if I ever decided to go with a CVT transmission, it would be between a Suzuki & a Yamaha. I'm with Shane, I prefer the automotive style DCT on my Rubicon for trail riding. There's pros & cons to both though. It's all about personal preference. - - - 2:18 - 30lbs of air?!!! HOLY MOLY! Yeah, they would ride rough with that much air, that's for sure - HAHAHA!!! I run mine at 4.5 lbs, sometimes even lower if I'm in rocky terrain for more grip. There's printing on the side of all (or most) ATV tires that says 15lbs max. I install my own tires, so I understand it takes more than 15lbs to seat the bead, but then they should be bled down to 15lbs for a couple days while they get fully seated. Don't want to be too critical here cause maybe the poor fella down at Discount Tire couldn't read English.??? - - - 5:00 - cool shot of the top of the fog cloud! Any idea what your elevation was at that point? - - - 10:00 - yup, that is some thick fog! - - - 18:30 & 24:00 - that old mine site was cool! I love finding those old buildings. The history of them is so interesting & thanx for providing some of that info for us - greatly appreciated! Do you know what they were mining? - - - 22:40 - Beauty view! - - - 29:45 - WOW, that was a cool section of trail through that box canyon! And nice to see the sheep at the end! - - - Thanx for taking us along!
Hey thanks for watching. It was a super fun ride. Shane has lowered the tire pressure since then for sure😎. From what I understand it was a Copper mine that ran for awhile in the early 1900s but although it looked promising initially it didn’t last too long. The spot we parked sits right at 7800’. I wasn’t sold on the CVT initially but I really can’t find much to complain about it on the Suzuki. Mine have been bulletproof. I went and checked out your channel and subscribed there. I’m excited to check out your videos.
@@aaronkelley7448 . . . Cool! See you on Q-Tube! You guys do a good job with your tours and editing, so you're going to have to put up with some more "long winded" comments from me - HAHAHA!!!
@@aaronkelley7448 Agreed! And how do you like your new to you 4Runner? I have a 2015 Honda Pilot I bought new. It has 123,000 miles on it now and it's been the best vehicle I've ever owned in 30 years of driving. I'll will move to a 4Runner or Tundra next
Hand warmers will be a great addition, You may also want to check out the Maire ATV handguards. Looks like excellent place to explore. Cool mine cabin. Wondering if there was a vertical shaft in front, and an adit going out the back. We often see sheep near mouth of salmon river. Need to plan a trip to Eastern Id. Cheers
It was a cool place. I didn’t see any obvious open shafts at all but have to admit I didn’t spend too much time looking around. The sheep are always fun to see.
Aaron, thanks again for another amazing ride along through some beautiful country! I just turned 1000 miles on my 2021 KQ 750 -0- issues and enjoying every mile!
Hey Scott good to hear from you again and thanks for the feedback on the video. Glad you enjoyed it. Happy to hear you’re enjoying your KQ and putting it to good use!
Great video Aaron! As before, I appreciate your commentary as well as your video work. And when you get Shane riding ahead of you us viewers can watch how the Suzuki (and the rider) reacts to difficult and rocky terrain. It's too bad that way back in the day those old mining quarters weren't roofed with metal. So many would then have been in much greater surviving shape. I do love the hands-on history though. (PS: I'm subscribing. :-) )
Thanks Snarge! I’m currently working on a new video from our recent fly fishing trip and ride. We tried another new camera view and hope it turns out good.
Thanks for watching. I can’t remember for sure because it was too long ago back in 2021. It shows the published date as December 5 and it may have been 2 or 3 weeks before that I would guess. Don’t do coordinates but right off highway 28 between Monteview and Gilmore Summit.
I actually do have a set of the Kolpin mits and agree that they do keep your hands warm even in really low temps. That steep climb you did in low at the 15:40 mark is a nice display of what a mountain goat the KQ can be.
