Horrible nightmares of a fly fishing trip in late August several years back. I needed a blood transfusion to replace the what the flying needles drilled out.
That is the most horse flies I have ever seen. I cant believe they aren't attacking you guys that much it seems. I swear one of them will follow/chase you for hours around here lol. Cool to see the difference between the two machines, awesome video.
Coming from someone who has never and probably never will even get the chance to run one of these machines, I am sentimental towards the originals and am happy it seems Sherp is king lol
Watching from the UK swatting the flies as i watch. Great video, you must really love what you do as you are always laughing even in the bad situations🙌🏻. Keep em’ coming.
Maybe I missed it - but small handheld 2-way radios for each vehicle would have saved a lot of backtracking etc. for around $50-$100 bucks each, we never go Bush without them. Awesome real-life test. Thanks 😁🇦🇺👍
Atlas cosmetically looks like a nicer machine and 4 wheel steer is cool but that’s where it kinda ends. Needs the Sherpa’s tires for sure and obviously cooling. Osta’s driving capabilities for sure help the Sherp’s abilities, David you’re a wheel man no doubt.
How much does the atlas actually weigh and how much does the sherp weigh? I bet the size of the tires and the weight make the difference. Of course, the Sherp is much simpler in terms of technology and, in my opinion, makes more sense for something like this anyway. More horsepower and more technology is not always better!
My wife and I were in the Cold lake, Saskatchewan area this summer and the horse flies were brutal.... Absolutely nothing compared to what you were dealing with here!!! Love your stuff. Keep it up.
I think you should carry two-way radios for this kind of exercise. Lovely content though. Keep on keeping on. When I first saw the Atlas on UA-cam I looked for a comparison with the SHERP. I think that we now have one. Thank you sir.
I loved watching you guy's plow through the mud in the comfort of my chair here in Australia..that looked so much fun...love yr video's and comentry😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
I have to tell ya.. This sherp stuff is amazing. I enjoy this kind of content better than trail riding. Trail riding is just that. This kind of sherp content is Awesome. Not every body has a sherp and if they do they don't use it like you do. If they do they don't share it.. Sherp to me is like an amphibious skidder. It don't care if just goes.. Thank you again for your time and energy for our entertainment..
The S&R people could use these machines for the hurricane relief efforts. So much flooding with lots of debris in the water. The 10x10 versions should be in fleet services for FEMA and other Emergency Response Teams. Awesome video guys!
The Sherpa tires are closer together, front to back, making it perform in mud more similarly to tracks than the Atlas. Then the Atlas tires, being farther apart, give it more stability, front to back, than the Sherpa for climbing and descending slopes, and in water. Pick your preference. I don't know how it would handle, but a Sherp with articulated front and rear axles, I think would be fantastic.
We did an 8 day hunt trip in far north Alberta. The Sherp was FANTASTIC. Never overheated, Swam for fun to help clean off mud on a lake loaded. bigger and rolled in 4’ of mud hauling 4 guys with all gear and 2 full quartered moose no issues the entire time. We even had to haul an older Argo 4 km through bush and towed it without slowing down in the swamp. Expensive, but worth every penny!
I have seen several posts of fat trucks and sherps helping in those areas. I hope everyone gets all the help they need down there. Insane amount of damage and people's live affected.
That is an excellent video showing extreme conditions! I see trail signs, are you running survey lines that are snowmobile trails? Thanks for sharing another of your awesome adventures.
Can’t beat the sherp, more versatility, well thought out. The Atlas is nice. Only benefit of atlas would be on the dirt road, faster, and steering. Sherp for the win.
I've got to say, I'm impressed with the sherp. Really with both machines, the Atlas too. I guess if I was in the market, the sherp would be the one to get
How far can these vehicles travel on a litre of fuel and how far on a full tank? The wilderness in any country usually means huge expanses of land without fuel stops and essential supplies. They are incredible machines, but maybe not the most comfortable ride. Great video ostacruiser! 👍
The horse flies were crazy. Even crazier than that was nobody had made up a permanent toolbag that stayed in their sherp at all time in the event of something happening.
The front window open,,excellent,,all sherps use it often,,skid steer turns on a dime,,very short wheelbase meant much less belly drag,,,not having two way radios is amateur,,😊
I cried over replacing a $400 tire after only 30 kms of use. I can only imagine the pain Atlas is feeling from that one. What is that? Like $1500/ tire?
@tymurchumak4125 I got a railroad spike through my cryptids. Was told it can't be repaired and the hole is smaller than that. Where do you get holes like that fixed?
Some far north sections of Canada, to be exact. Not much there except oil and gas exploration, some mining, a few small communities and towns inhabited by resilient and hardy people.
I was going to buy some stuff from you, however, the cost of shipping was the deal breaker for what I was buying. I always start with a small order, if I like the product I would buy more. But am not spending $50 to ship small items in Canada. I buy and sell online too, and know the shipping costs. I really enjoy your videos, just not willing to spend so much on shipping to buy a gas cap and a shifter knob.
I'm swatting at invisible flies watching this.
No lie, I'm eatin' one of those Tai Pei shrimp-rice meals and swear I felt the rice moving!! 😳
I can't stop scratching my head
And I thought it was the blood floaters in my eye and it was a f n mosquito 🦟 LMAO 🤣
😂

I'm so glad I subscribed to your channel years ago. So much good content
Insta 360 footage is awesome from the rooftop mount . Keep up the great work Osta !
I want to live in a world without roads between citys and towns where every vehicle is like this.
I love what Ostacruiser calls a "trail" just looks like swamp to me 😂
😅😅
Man, the crunching is SO satisfying
1:47 I couldn’t tell if he was making biscuits or copying his mom’s typing movements, but it’s so cute! Well done for letting him into your life.

Good thing that Atlas had a proper off road vehicle nearby the whole time, such as a Sherp for example. 😂

Didnt he say they broke part of the radiator off or off of the overfill on the Atlas?
How much does the atlas actually weigh and how much does the sherp weigh?
I bet the size of the tires and the weight make the difference.

Needs some hitch points on the front aswel.
Those Horseflies are of biblical proportion!
Exactly what I was thinking

Got to mount a swing out chainsaw on the front to cut those big trees laying across your paths. Great vehicles and great scenery. Thanks

Awesome to hear! They are amazing machines for sure

YES !!!! Been waiting for this !
These are amazing vehicles. Need some of these deployed in North Carolina in the areas devastated by Hurricane Helene.
I have seen several posts of fat trucks and sherps helping in those areas. I hope everyone gets all the help they need down there. Insane amount of damage and people's live affected.
Ive watched this 3 times and still love it...i new Atlas steering was a bad idea..thanks for proving me right😎😎😎😎😎
The amount of horseflies is unbelievable !
It was crazy lol
I'm not sure, but I think I saw a mosquito.
Sherp for the win! Heavy equipment uses break steer most snow cats included it only makes sense.
Simple and effective

This looks like so much fun!
I like that Osta-gang don't cut out yeeting of the 360 cam out of the window. Watcher go out with horseflies, where they belong...
Northern Saskatchewan is crazy fun if you’re prepared as a fellow native of Saskatchewan I love watching your channel
I've got to say, I'm impressed with the sherp. Really with both machines, the Atlas too. I guess if I was in the market, the sherp would be the one to get
Sherp definitely started this market. There's also one out called The Fat Truck, here is the Atlas. Awesome platform
Awesome video David, and those horse flies not so sure I could’ve handled that.
Exiting. Thanks for the tour.
Great video, love the Horseflies.....
You must eat a lot of garlic cuz the bugs were everywhere but on you 😮.. definitely a torture test for any machine 💪
Unbelievable the Atlas didn’t have a front winch/line attachment point.
This makes me want to play Mudrunner. All the fun, none of the flies.
Haha smart move
Amazing Video. Theae Machines are Insane ! Wow
Cool stuff mate. Have fun guys.
doesn't seem like a horrible machine they have some things to work out because its def not a sherp and also like osta said a little too complicated
Complicated is never dependable rule one.
I like the visibility out of the front of the atlas
Your insane for using cable with screen up, if breaks and whips 🤯. Cool video.
Synthetic rope doesn't snap back like cable.
This really feels like a Real Test. Great video guys. I wanna be camera guy. Need the workout
I'd love to be the camera man on one of these!
Maybe one day haha
Only Dave would be giggling in the midst of all those bugs.
Love the videos man that 360 cam is the coolest to record with isnt it
Good comparison video, too bad the Atlas broke, got stuck, and punctured a tire. 😁
🤟💪🙃
Awesome video Osta yeeyee
Awe, ya ran right over that muskrat hut! 😮 These machines are super bad-ass though!
Those muskrats can afford to go buy a new one. Don't let them fool ya!
@@leadboots72 🤣🤣🤣🤣
"What trail are you going to with the sherp?"
"The sherp trail"
"Where is that"
"wherever my sherp is drove through"
Aloha from HAWAII ❤
You are not scared of swamp, swamp is scared of you 🔥💪
Well Atlas , Sherp happens !
Viewing from 313 motor city Detroit Michigan USA 🇺🇸 👌 😎 ❤😊 .
Heck ya!!

I love you guys and your contents
Atlas has a Renault enginen?
WoWTalk about into the thick of it...Thanks for sharing!
Sherp for the win lol. How do the horse fly's not bother you?
The horse flies were crazy. Even crazier than that was nobody had made up a permanent toolbag that stayed in their sherp at all time in the event of something happening.
I had a Sherp tool bag. For tools I needed for the Sherp lol
Nice video!
What kind of winch rope was that?
Our own stuff, available at ostacruiser.com
Hey, what's with the cloud of bugs around everything? It's like the bears in the Pacific Northwest. Cloud of bugs, and stink.
What's the range you could do on one of those for a back country trip like that?
We moose hunt for 5 days. Cover hundreds of kms on one 80L tank of fuel
Funny you didn't plug your ac unit 😊
With horseflies? Haha no kidding
The front window open,,excellent,,all sherps use it often,,skid steer turns on a dime,,very short wheelbase meant much less belly drag,,,not having two way radios is amateur,,😊
Overall it needs more work but would be great for some situations but its no sherp , not even close especially those tires .
So these sre like the ultimate side by side?
I cried over replacing a $400 tire after only 30 kms of use. I can only imagine the pain Atlas is feeling from that one. What is that? Like $1500/ tire?
Just a tire service after and 150$ for the repair. I saw many similar cases with the Sherp tire and even worse. 😉
@tymurchumak4125 I got a railroad spike through my cryptids. Was told it can't be repaired and the hole is smaller than that.
Where do you get holes like that fixed?
Too bad you guys didn’t have the Ago Sasquatch TXT 4x4 with you guys, it’s just as cool.
I'm going to have nightmares about those horse flys, growing up around PA they got bad up at the lakes but never like that! Jebus
Why is the Atlas 3 times as much as the Sherp?
Not sure. Low production is part of it
Thought these type vehicles could go anywhere
Mine only makes trips to your mom's house and back.
@@leadboots72 man that's original
I want to see the Argo try this now 😂
That was cooool😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
If these were bulletproof, I would by far choose them over The Marauder for an apocalyptic movie or real life.
What a job 👍
Suitable for fishing ❤
From the looks of things….Buddy needs to sell his Atlas and get a Sherp
If it’s not fly-proof, no sale.
😁
That does look very fun but not with all those flies. Maybe in the winter id go.
This is awesome stuff lol
Where is this? I want to make sure I never travel anywhere near this area because of those flies.
A good portion of Canada really.
Some far north sections of Canada, to be exact. Not much there except oil and gas exploration, some mining, a few small communities and towns inhabited by resilient and hardy people.
no role cage?
Yes internal on both
Regarding the flies: maybe you need to install an attachment named "frogs". 😂😁😜
Atlas just stole Sherps idea
Sherpa and Atlas are made in Ukraine)
i saw one in the trail for the first time its way bigger in real life haha
BUGS! dam still looks fun
Camping with sherp in swamps is cool
You know what would be even more awesome someone giving me a sherp 😅😊
the bug man
And i thought the bugs in New Brunswick were bad 😂

So many flies it looks like static
