    I guess it's my favorite bread; I eat it with almost every meal I make: breakfast, wraps, tacos, and as a side for dips.
    I prepare naan bread in advance and store it in the freezer for one month. When I need it, I warm it up and pair it with my favorite meal!

    Ingredients:
    100g lukewarm water
    100g Greek yogurt
    150g sourdough discard
    12g salt
    45g sugar
    1 egg
    500g all-purpose flour
    50g whole wheat flour
    Method:
    👉 Whisk all together
    👉 Knead the dough for a couple of minutes until it comes together and becomes smooth. Adjust the dough by adding more flour if sticky or more water if too stiff.
    👉 Cover and let it rest for 1 hour for autolyse.
    👉 Perform a fold.
    👉 Cover and let it proof at 26-28°C for 2-3 hours (if temperatures are lower, it may take more time).
    👉 By the end of proofing, the dough will become slightly puffy.
    👉 Dump the dough on the surface.
    👉 Divide the dough into pieces.
    👉 Cover with a towel or plastic and let it rest for 30 min.
    👉 Preheat frying pan.
    👉 Roll each piece of dough into a thin circle.
    👉 Put the dough on the dry hot pan.
    👉 Let it bake for 2-3 min on medium heat.
    👉 Flip the naans over on the other side. Let them bake for 2 more minutes until you see brown spots all over.
    👉 Remove baked naans on a lattice until they completely cool down. If you put them all together without cooling down, the steam will make them very soft.
    I like both ways to have naan bread, with and without garlic; it depends on the meal. I freeze naan bread, and after defrosting, if needed, I add garlic butter. Try both!
    To make garlic naan:
    Ingredients:
    50g melted butter or ghee
    2 cloves of garlic, minced
    Method:
    👉 Melt butter.
    👉 Mince garlic.
    👉 Mix garlic with melted butter.
    👉 Using a brush, spread the garlic butter on each side of each naan.
    👉 Fry for a few minutes on both sides.

    Good effort, but it is more close to khameeri roti and not naan.
    Naan is supposed to made with yeast! just a tip
