    Track 7:51 Sanxion by Rob Hubbard - this music used also on the Atari 8-bit, game called The Extirpator! Version i love.

    Rattopaz, great job displaying all these, watched all 3 recollections, would of been great to see 'snake pit' and 'brian bloodaxe' in the mix but no matter.. Cheers.

    Nostalgic Bliss! 2:22 - Brings back so many memories! Still remember being very impressed with the Total Recall graphics on the C64! Too bad I didn't get into the programming side of C64 or else it'd have totally blown my imagination 1000 times or more!!! 🤯😱😵 Never too late I guess! Better late than never! 😊

    It is great to see these, maybe consider leaving the sounds of the games with each clip.

    3 great treks down memory lane - but there're two games that I used to have but can't recall their names.
    The one I'm really looking for is one where you're walking around a maze (I think it's isometric perspective) and there are these diamonds/circles/something at the various intersections, and whenever you cross one, it turns into an arrow, and afterwards, you can only walk across arrows in the same direction. You also get some "spell" or some special ability to use to help with each maze.
    The other is a shooter where you face waves of various types of ships coming at you (not scrolling IIRC) and eventually you have to fly through a base ala Scramble, (it was gray I think) with an auto-scrolling horizontal scroll. I could never pass this one nearly pixel-perfect vertical shaft. Always wondered if I could beat either of these if I could find 'em nowadays.

    Trying to recall the name of a game, seeing ballblazer on here it had the same aesthetic. Roving around a landscape destroying alien ships, with weird eerie music. It was a 3dish game and looked amazing back in the day.

    There needs to be a fourth one, which includes modern games like Galencia, Sam's Journey, Knightlore, etc.

    Commando was a god music accompaniment. Spy versus Spy and Ghost'n'goblins would have been good choices.

      ***** Era una sorta di avventura a scorrimento laterale, molto esplorativa, ambientata in una scuola gigantesca o qualcosa del genere. Si controllava un ragazzo/ragazzino. Si partiva da fuori il cancello (mi pare) e poi si entrava in una zona che racchiudeva un complesso di edifici di questa scuola/università o simile. L'atmosfera era un po' cupa, mi pare che il gioco si svolgesse tutto durante la notte. Non ricordo se ci fossero scontri con nemici. Più di così non ricordo, ci giocavo a fine anni '80, forse primissimi anni 90! :D

    • @Rattopaz
      @Rattopaz  9 років тому

      Dalla descrizione somiglia un pò a Maniac mansion, ma non dovrebbe essere lui, perchè si controllavano 3 personaggi. Era comunque un gioco simile o qualcosa votato un pò più sull'azione?

    • @DavidRFIT
      @DavidRFIT 9 років тому

      ***** Ecco, poteva assomigliare visivamente a un Maniac Mansion più cupo dove controllavi direttamente l'unico personaggio con il joystick (non era un punta e clicca). Di azione io me ne ricordo veramente poca, era più incentrato sull'esplorazione e su qualche enigma... ma chiaramente potrei sbagliarmi essendo passati più di 25 anni :)

      Trovato! watch?v=FnScDnhsDao un quasi sconosciuto gioco inglese probabilmente ispirato a una canzone dei Pink Floyd... me lo ricordavo molto più oscuro e inquietante... :)

    Flappy bird... was a rip off of an older game that also existed on the Commodore 64?! Mind blown.

    • @Rattopaz
      @Rattopaz  8 років тому

      WolfySnackrib666 Not really, it's a C64 version made on 2014 i think.

    • @WolfySnackrib666

      Oh!! Whoopsie. My bad. However, I just looked through hours of C64 games and there's one in particular I've been looking for the past 10 years that I remember seeing when I was a kid.
      I really don't recall enough details for it, I think it was played from an upwards looking down perspective and there were a bunch of characters that wore black and white hats, and you walked from hut to hut. The houses looked like huts, and I think it was like a role playing sort of game and you had to buy food to survive. I want to find this game so badly. :(
      Although it's nothing like it, I suppose the closest thing to it I can imagine is sort of Pokémon on gameboy.

    • @scottbreon9448
      @scottbreon9448 Рік тому

      Well, even the original Flappy Bird is technically a ripoff of an older game called Piou Piou vs. Cactus which was released two years before the original Flappy Bird
