Nothing sounds like the SID. Nothing looks like C64 graphics. Coolest computer ever made. Edit: Just the fucking colour palette was amazing. And I wish Spotify could play music this cool.
There was a game I used to play, I don't remember the name so I was going crazy. Realized this video has many games which weren't mentioned on other channels. + You have more videos like that. I'm hoping to find all the games which I used to play. + Maybe I'll start a new video series like "trying some C64 games for the first time" Thanks for the effort. It really helps people like me.
Thanks :). For a possible part III who knows, at first i don't even wanted to do a part II. The hardest and most boring part is to look for new games i should include, make the compilation require a bit of time but is the fun part after all, it bring me back lots of memories. I'm always open for games and music suggestions.
Great work indeed! Can't thank you enough for these videos and the countless hours you must've put into these! It brings back so many childhood memories and I really hope there will be a third part at some point in the future :)
I've been listening to loads of C64 music compilations recently, and this is the first one I've heard with the Driller theme! awesome game. I used to spend hours playing that.
25:29 This is R-Type, not Carnage. Great video, nice to hunt for games I've never played. I'm listening it also while writing some game for beloved C64 :).
***** Thanks, it's also nice that there are still people like you which remember and create a great videos with this awesome SID music :) ! I'm working hard under Commocore label, so I hope that someday you'll be able to see some finished game from me. :)
Ya know,, when you consider these games , some being pretty in depth, and the fact its all being done with far less than 64k of memory its simply amazing. i say less because least we forget the memory require for the bios/os first. less memory than a standard windows text file or jpg image.
48:41 is not crazy comets (One of my favourite games), this, however, is.... ua-cam.com/video/e7_FopKiOTw/v-deo.html aka Mega Apocalypse, which was a supposed improved version, or sequel, that had digitised sound that kinda ruined the original feel of the game.
so glad you made 2. still looking for a few games i cant remember the name of. maybe it will be in here. im interisted in creating a few games with the c64 look. but am noob. any help would be great. have the hard ware to create . but i need to know how to create with no programming knowledge. looking to use clickteam fusion to start. need something that user friendly that i can make these kind of graphics with.
The video stops at 44:00 :( great work tho. I´m still looking for games i played when i was a little kid and still can´t find them. I´ll keep looking. Games suggestions: Express Rider - Microprose Soccer - Emilyn Hughes - Lemans - Henry´s House - Army Moves - Renegade Music Suggestions: Uchi Matta - Human´s Race (level 3) - Fist II The Leyend - Commando - Renegade My 2 cents :P greetings from Argentina ;)
There are some great games in this video, there are some meh games in this video, and there are some awful games in this video, but every system has it's fair share of horrible games For example Great: Uridium, Deflektor, Wizard of Wor Meh: Castlevania (it was an OK conversion, but pales in comparison to the NES version) Horrible: The C64 port of Chase HQ. An ABOMINATION that should NOT exist
i think you used up most of the good games on your first vid! I was less familiar with the games in this video anyhow. AAARRRGGHH!!! grogs revenge. I hated that game.
Driller....loved that SID, to this day it's one of my favorite dark ambient chiptunes.
Agreed, although the gameplay was a bit tedious compared to other versions of the game. The Freescape games were way too slow I found on the C64.
@@scottbreon9448 Yeah, the Freescape games didn't run very well on the C64
Driller and Hunter's Moon were great for this feel.
@@DrJ3RK8 Hunter's Moon is epic. It's what I like to refer to as a thinking man's shoot 'em up. Paradroid (and Wizball) is the same way

That opening chip track is killer love that old spound expecially wirh the speakers we have today. Mmm amazing
Lovely music - seems C64 and all things related never get old.
Greetings from the Netherlands, many many thnx for upload, brings back gooood memories :)
Any video that includes Jeroen Tel for music is worth a watch and listen. Great video btw!
1:02 took me right out of my recollection. Prince of Persia was released for C64 in 2011.

I already discovered 4-5 games which I used to play. And I'm not even halfway through.
@@efe_aydal "Nerede yaratıcılık, nerede yeni şeyler deneme cesareti, nerede feraset", günümüzdeki oyunlarda eksik olan özellikler bunlar bence hep.
Many thanks! Thanks to you, I found the game of my childhood. Now I sit playing them :)

WOW, smart choices, very playable . This video brings closer the gameplay.

Let me add Skate Rock and Space Harrier, great games ;)

Nice work - both videos!
Nice to see someone giving Firetrap love. So strange that it isn't more recognized.
Great vid!
Add soundtracks, to get a perfect score!

Thanks for your vidéo ! ;-)
The beginning of driller music sounds like the music from the movie halloween

I often wonder if the bat skip for the NES version of Castlevania also works for older versions of it =/

Moonwalker is here ! And I've found the name of the game I was looking for. It's CYBERNOID.
Please make a Recollection III
