We got 30 seconds of Chili's Marketing and 10 minutes of stock market lesson's, lmao
Yeah. I appreciate it though. It’s nice to get market analysis refreshers.
@@l.a.rodriguez9581literally how I learn about stocks and the world no cap and I’ve made 1000s on NVIDIA
So classic
@@l.a.rodriguez9581 Did we know about the stock buyback ahead of time?
Not gonna lie he asked the stock lessons interesting though
Chili’s current CMO was previously CMO at Tinder, and previously had been a product manager at Proctor & Gamble, specifically working on Old Spice. Sheeesh
Tinder had marketing?
@@primary2630 you think it got to #1 in a saturated market on accident?
Family went to chilis together last week. Had a ton of food for about $30 a person including tip. That included some drinks and we had enough for 2 servings of leftovers. Thumbs up to them
I've always thought they were solid. I like the fajitas.
I love burgers at chilis india
Thumbs up to you! 👍
the "Welcome to Chili's" meme is the only marketing I remember from them
Classic glizzy hands banger from the glarketer himself
Damn….people are slowing drifting into retardation
Really appreciated hearing everything you've said in the first minute. I didn't study marketing in uni, but I started watching Marketing Monday when I graduated 2 years ago, and it really inspired me to go into the field. I'm now getting laid off from my first job and it's such a grind getting through the application process again as it feels like I'm going nowhere fast. I have to say, everything I've learned has come on the job, and from your streams, and for that, I appreciate the work that you do
I ain't never seen a chili's commercial except for the scene in the office and I've been like 6 times the past 2 months

Damn, crazy how when you listen to employees and customers, business does well
True, but the problem with listening to employees specifically is that most employees don't actually care about the company they work for, this is especially true with minimum wage work, so you gotta be really careful on what feedback you take from your employees, because most of it is self referencial and self serving, not necessarily good for the company
@@diogomoreira4345businesses are built around being self serving to everybody BUT the employees. It would absolutely help if they listened to their workforce more. When employees feel appreciated, they start to care about their work.
@@artoro8 i understand that logic, and in theory i agree with you, but in practice i can tell you for a fact that is does not work like that, higher pay or better working conditions DO NOT 100% equate to better performance, some workers are simply lazy regardless of the conditions, especially when we're talking about unspecialized work aka minimum wage work...
It may be an unpopular opinion, but people that don't go to university shouldn't expect to make more than minimum wage, simply because they didn't learn any specific skill or knowledge that is difficult to replace, so if you start paying those workers the same or more than someone that went to university that's just unfair...
Plus, people need to be professional in the workplace, that means doing your job the best you can regardless of pay or conditions, which i can GUARANTEE you most minimum wage workers are not
The real problem here is that minimum wage is the minimum salary that someone needs to survive, not to actually live properly, that's the real issue
A short squeeze is when Institutions have sold call options on a stock (short position) without having the Charizard. So imagine you go to the trading convention and Big A says he would like to exercise the call he bought from you. Now you are scrambling to buy a Charizard at the convention, if no one wants to sell a Charizard you will have to bid infinite to get someone to sell you a Charizard.
There might be some reasons why no one wants to sell a Charizard. Some Charizards are in a pension fund and the person who has it doesn't know it's through the roof. Or a local government has the Charizard and can't sell without first making a slow democratic decision.
This happened to Volkswagen or Porsche 15 years ago. Where the stock is just not being traded enough for the amount of call options that were sold.
I just unlocked a new ridge on my brain
He loves coffee btw
Bros hairline is crazy…
Just now realising how far his hair extends forward.

Wow the first 30 seconds really made me feel great about going into college for marketing lmfao
why go college when you can just buy nvda calls
I work on a road with a wealth of food options for lunch and when I do eat out for lunch I end up going to chilis a lot of the time. It’s 10 bucks for a half order chicken bacon ranch quesadilla with chips and salsa and chicken enchilada soup. The drink is over priced but with rewards I’ve never not had a free drink coupon. You can barely get fast food for less then 10 bucks and the quality isn’t amazing by any means but it’s way better than Taco Bell.
What the glizzy got wrong is most companies do buy backs not for the reasons he listed but it’s just easier and short term, companies want to give back to the shareholders when it doesn’t hurt them financially unlike dividends which often always have to be issued or risk a major stock crash
tell em' sausage man!
Marketing medical offices was fairly interesting. Marketing Outdoor Lighting Specialists killed me. There aren’t enough filler words in the world for SEO articles
Stuck on the train rn, this is needed
Glarketer repping the huel shirt today, love to see it
Another day another glizzy hand banger
“Of all the ones, marketing degree is probably the least” - Big A
honestly think it was more the all day happy hour specials and decent pricing that saved chili's. quality varies by location but I've never had a bad experience. shout out to the triple dipper and those southwestern eggrolls
My girlfriend and I keep chilis in business. Going out and getting 2 meals (always with enough for a leftover lunch), and only 30 bucks is kinda a steal for a dine in place

Chili's also became a meme and I think that helped
I actually learn so much from Atrioc about money its kinda insane
Glizzy boy
Im a line cook at Chili's, have been there for a year. Ive honestly been dying on fry side and flat top from all of the Smasher Burger and Crisper meal orders in Georgia compared to when I started, almost doubled in sales.
I was literally at Chilis yesterday
How do you know apple did the stock buy back after wwdc?
I never knew the stock market was just an example of "Everyone has a price"
I’ll be honest in the past year me and my buddies have been going to chilis more and more, and ngl it’s fire
I come in and buy it for $400 even if it’s trading for $40. People actually did that when building trading systems in Bitcoin.
Atrioc has influenced my stock market pciks so heavily lately bro has a big brain
I was literally at chillys yesterday talling about how good their marketing is LOL

Atrioc>my four year risk management (finance) degree
Watching this after my shift at Chili’s
Man i love chilis
I’m a marketing director without a marketing degree. You can do it.
apple leaned all in to the "artificial" part of AI. Marketing 101. it's not a bug, it's a feature
anyone else ever noticed how Atrioc looks like Christian Eriksen
I don't think that stuff about XLK is true. I just googled them and they seem to just be tracking a weird index designed to balance different aspects of the technology sector. Apple and Nvidia fall under different categories of technology, so it doesn't seem that Nvidia passing Apple would do much other than causing other chipmakers to lose ground in the ETF.

Honest question: what the fuck did you google?
@@AtriocClips
Their website. I read their prospectus. It didn't mention the two top holdings always being the biggest. It just talked about diversification across different parts of tech in the S&P 500.
I was wrong. I'm not sure how they calculate things.
I’m on the fence about majoring in marketing, is it really that useless?
Say you had a lot of stocks in orange co, could you buy a few stocks at a ridiculous price then sell your old stocks at this new ridiculous price?
Chili's 3 for me is a solid deal
Chilis is just good recently
Chili's is awesome
Hey tomorrow here: it didn't work out
Big W for me, I was in korea the last year, if Chili’s is good now that’s a great.
Dividend tax rate is lower than capital gains rate, the reason buybacks is preferred is because it defers tax into the future(like your IRA) and lets you control when you want to sell.
If no one wants to sell, it is an illiquid market and central banks step in, in 2008 money markets seized as no one knew which bank held the bad eggs, so couldnt set an interest rate bank rate as all refused to trade for a time period, interesting time to look at.
45th and lamar Chili's is the best restaurant in austin
Did we know about the stock buyback ahead of time?
Bro I just sold my apple in may😭😭😭😭
I went to chilis fall 2023 and it was the worst experience I ever had in a restaurant. The waitress didn’t give af, the food was cold and took forever, they didn’t even bring out all of it even after I asked a couple times, will never go again for the rest of my life and will talk mad shit about chilis forever
C’est quoi
Went to Chili’s last year for the first time and honestly didn’t like it. Tried it again this year after hearing about changes and thought it was pretty good. Atmosphere has improved dramatically
I swung by the worlds “most beautiful chili’s” yesterday. In Banff. It was still mid
When you said the words, "Apple Intelligence" I cringed harder and angrier than I have in a while...
I genuinely almost went into marketing after high school, I took an intro class run by this really cool teacher who did other tech classes, and I genuinely found it really fun and interesting, but between my mental illness and tumblr making me a gay communist, it just wasn't meant to be. I love these videos, I feel a genuine kinship to atrioc being able to see the invisible lines that guide the economy and people's purchasing choices.
I'm pretty anti-capitalist but still a marketer so you can do it too!
From the way Big A explained it, it seemed like call options are just free money? Maybe i'm misunderstanding it, but from the way he explained, you either exercise the option when you see it makes bank, or you don't exercise and you don't lose any money? Seems too good to be true
They expire and if they expire then you just lose the money you bought the call for
@@SteubenThursday So you just gotta convince some other dumby to buy your option for a higher price, and pass on the hot potato? Now THAT sounds like wall street xD
An option is also called a derivative. Much like a derivative in math there is a way to calculate it based on the stock price. Since options are also sold and bought the same way as stocks they also have a pricing mechanism that the market deems correct.
@@gusvanwes6192 Thanks for the info! Either way, regular people should not be investing into stocks, at this point in time the stock market serves more as a vehicle for the rich to pay less taxes than actual investment opportunities. Even for so called "experts" the stock market is very uncertain and in my opinion it's very close, if not the same, as gambling
Personally, regular people (like myself) should just stick to building their wealth slowly through low risk, low return government bonds or savings accounts, no need to gamble the little money you have
Kinda cool hearing him talk about how marketing agencies hire creative people who have diverse backgrounds, until you realize people who would be great at making art, literature, etc., are instead making candy ads that I skip after five seconds.
i have a question about sponsorships and i feel like this channel has alot of finance nerds.
if somebody who has stake in a company, for the sake of example ill say what if logan paul gets a prime sponsorship. is this just a silly legal way to launder or embezzle company money directly to your pocket because you had your own company sponsor you?
This really shouldn't have been called "Chilis marketing saved them" but should have been a thumbnail of Apple and green line going up, because this is the exact reaction to WWDC2024 and Apple stock that I've been wondering if Atrioc would do for days now lol

I’m sorry but they should get rid of buy backs 😂 and force the company to either invest in research or pay the dividend… fucking R. Reagan as his backwards economics for the rich

Chilies food sucks
As a vegetarian, Chili's is very mediocre. Cant compete with local restaurants. Meat eaters do like it though.
Yeah the point of a company is to make share holders money because screw workers and customers society is better off without them, gotta keep the investment class comfy
