    You two! I'll say it again: You both are an inspiration to those of us who're less hearty individuals, but who have the desire to be heartier. Yeah, that's it. That's the ticket. And when the time comes, PIE is on me. 🥧☕

    Glad to see you tried putting the fan on the floor. cold air is heaver than warm air so putting the fan on the floor picks up that heavy cold air and forces it up to be warmed by your heat source and forces the warm air to come down off the ceiling. Glad you got in out of the cold arctic weather.

    Pretty! Got -50 when I was a kid growing up in Fremont county Wyo. Once retired I spent 5 years rv camping fulltime in Goshen county. Coldest night there was -27 and it usually warmed up to freezing or warmer daytime. My propane always worked there. Thanks for the fan tip. My ceiling fan keeps the heat evened out too.

    Rick, if you find a lake with no snow on the ice it's a blast to ride bikes on. The tires stick to the ice making it a lot of fun. But don't hit snow on the ice or you will lose traction and fall down.

    I feel cold just watching. At least we're only dealing with high winds rocking the truck camper and heavy rains, more of which we'll be enjoying tonight or tomorrow.
    Walleye is good eating fish, but then Rainbow Trout fried in salt butter garlic is good too. Take care...
    PS: Show Me The Pie!

    • @gonagain
      @gonagain  7 місяців тому +2

      Maybe we'll start a "PiePal" budget, like someone suggested. Linda and the rest of our Hawaii family doesn't like freshwater fish at all except for walleye. And they pretty much eat anything out of the ocean.

    • @CITAP1
      @CITAP1 7 місяців тому

      @gonagain Salmon, Trout, Steelhead, there is a family connection if that helps.
      If you do only like one fresh water fish, Walleye is a good choice.
      On the darker side of rv/Truck Camper life, we managed to run out of propane last night and to make it more interesting, the toilet I replaced last year, broke at the base last night, so off to get another one.
      The bright side is this camp spot is beautiful!
      I'll keep you posted on developments.

    Brrrr. Good one! We like winter camping in our 7 x 14 cargo trailer conversion as well, but so far we've only gone down to ~20F in central Oregon, nothing like you guys! 1" (R5) foam board all around. If we have power we use the mini-split (good down to 5F) else we go heat-buddy on 30lb propane tank. Going to try you're latest fan suggestion - we use fans horizontally / angled down a bit but as you know the floor seems 20deg cooler (at least) than chest height in a small trailer. We use wool socks due to cold floor and they work pretty darn well - much better than 'regular' socks :)

    About 50 years ago my buddies and I would grab a snow shovel and an old tire and a little gasoline. We'd drive out to remote reservoir, shovel snow off ice, light the tire on fire, and skate until tire burned up. We didn't smell very good afterward but were able to skate awhile until needing to warm up by fire. MT had about 10 days of record setting cold in mid-Jan, but other than that it has been unusually mild, especially in SE MT.

    • @gonagain
      @gonagain  7 місяців тому

      We're usually gone during the frigid temps that MT goes through but this year we had to hang around. That's the coldest we've ever experienced, hope to not see that again. But this is Montana, so....

    Hello Rick! I know someone very well that you also know, she lives in GTF, she showed me pics of the snow this morning and the sky looks very wintry and cold. No offense but I hate the cold and the winter. When I work I look down from my “sky office” at 32,000 and see all the snow we fly over and I’m glad I’m not down there 😂
    However I do love me some Montana in the spring and summer!! Great video as always, if you ever came thru Portland Oregon I take you both out for pie 🥧👍

    I have the same heater as you do. How long does a 20 lb. tank last with it?

    • @gonagain
      @gonagain  7 місяців тому

      It's hard to say, because we run it on low all night, but don't use it during the day. According to the specs, on full blast it will last for 36 hours, but we run it at about 25 percent, so it would last about 144 hours, or maybe 6 days.
