I'm starting to think the John Wick movies happen after the "greatest era" of the assassin world. Where all the legendary assassins either retired or climbed the ranks, new disruptive organizations are on the rise, and the table is rife with infighting. They're kinda desperate to prove their still on top-
@@CamiloFHSC that's actually an interesting idea, all the actually talented assasins that we've seen: Caine, Koji, John, and Zero are either idle, retired or become a manager, some even have kids already, can't imagine what the era of their prime looked like
Knowing Donnie Yen's humor it would've been perfect. But all the four movies stayed true to the gray, gloomy vibes. Even 2 and 4 which were set in multiple cities far more colorful than NYC
I love that since he insisted on Caine, Caine was the one who still brought John to the final duel. If Marquis hadn't brought Caine out of retirement and brought some other assassin John would never have made it to the duel and forfeited it by abandonment.
It's the little details that make this scene. The room is unnecessarily huge and sparsely used. The huge table of food that only the Marquis helps himself to, and not even much of, both of which point to him flaunting his wealth. Caine hits the bottom of the tray when he first reaches, then only partially the envelope, because he's blind. The way the subtitles reveal John's name suggest he wasn't even holding the card the right way, which he couldn't know until he started to read it. Also, unless I was completely imagining it, I could hear the dogs panting at various parts.
@@chaosxny5784 I know. My point was there aren't just dogs sitting there, you can hear them panting. The dogs being completely quiet would be weird, but being able to hear them is just one of the little details.
@@DaScorpionSting Wow, I didn't know he was going to be nosferatu, that's amazing. He was perfect for IT at Pennywise. Boy kills world was a fun movie, Bill did great. I think 'The Crow' remake will be good as well.

"I assume you have a notion of where he might be?" "... John Wick has few friends remaining in the world... and even fewer he trusts with his life" Cain then goes immediately to where John is. Dang...
What he meant by that sentence was "it can only be this one particular person/place, because John doesn't have many friends, and doesn't trust just anyone". That's why he was able to go straight to where John is.
Inspired by the real-world Italian-American Mafia Commission, The High Table is the body that governs organized crime across the entire world. Did you watch the movie. Rather than kidnapped, she is pawned to the High table for Cane's service. Her life is theirs to take if Cane break whatever his deal with the table is.
The one thing I don't like is that is the high table really powerful?? Cause they always loose even in the continental drama not much powerful. The so called hype about high table and everytime the other party wins always

You think the high table would learn to stop forcing these guy's out of retirement it never ends well for them.
Ok

You know things have gotten serious when clown Pennywise hires Ip Man to kill Neo.
Not to mention mister krabs overseeing their duel at the end
That guy, after he became blind, then became Chirrut Imwe and got tired of traveling across the galaxy so he decided to just do business on earth
Caine's reaction should have been
"Who tf is KCIW NHOJ?"
A missed opportunity
@@maxwellpeter5955 Nah this is not a film like that but it would be hilarious

That would be fucking hilarious but also impractical none of these guys are dumb!

John would have won the duel but he also knew Caine was being black mailed and forced to serve
@@DangerBaker-ji1dubut also that caine has something to live for still. Johns life was consumed by vengeance against the table.
the high table does not understand the concept of friendship. 😂
This film's cinematography is truly something to behold.

There are two big dogs behind Caine to the back-left near the wall. They have two handlers standing next to them.

Say what you will about the Marquis, guy had the best looking fits in this movie 😅
He was an arrogant a$$hole
And he came back as boy kills world and will be nosferatu

I love the Caine didnt even feel the whole card and just needed Wick.
the fact that they named Caine a dude thats blind and uses a cane to walk its ruthless, its not better than call him glasses or eyes XD
They almost called him Chang and made him more stereotypically Chinese, but the actor objected.
More biblical 😅
I mean I think it’s more for the biblical aspect since Cain in the Bible killed his brother Abel. Which is what Caine in the movie has set out to do.
I remember watching this in theater and kept thinking Joe Burrow was a damn good actor 😂
When I saw this on imax, all of Marquis’ suits shined with glitter.
The one critic about this film I agree with is that Bill Skarsgard should've been given more screen time. More material to work with.
Even in that limited time, he was super
Finally I saw the High Table, there are lot of patisserie on it for eating😂
And the Elder, the man above the table, treats himself to a nice slice of cake 🍰 yum!!
Aye at one point Caine gonna have to say no 😂
Was gonna say no until they threatened his daughter thats blackmailing
Caine was so badass unfortunately he was around the same time as the most badass assassin ever
What a great addition Bill Skarsgard was as the bad guy. Donnie Yen stole the show though
Donnie Yen, such perfect casting!

The Hight Table rules all
Does Caine take cocaine?
The way he was always snorting
I thought he is trying to say the Marquis stinks of cologne, but he is the only character who seems to notice or have any issue with it.
"thereby, we name you....john...wig? How's that?"
Cain said he is retired because he was a hitman...

Daughter kidnapped I see 🤔

since when could caine see?
The Count certainly liked his French sweet desserts lol
That's mean if Caine broke the rules of Marquis put on like not accept service, the high table will kidnap
That red suit is badass. Just saying......
At first glance, I really thought that's Leslie Chow from the hangover.
